    NOEL ASTRA
To walk among the cherry-tipped trees of Sakuramori was calming, very much in contrast with the current exhilaration of the act at hand. The moon stood high, it’s dim glittering light shining past the leaves to provide selective light on the action below. A multitude of tiny shadows shot past consecutively in a cacophony of insectoid screeches, followed by a singular, silent bigger frame that was right on their heel.

The sheen of Noel’s blade refracted some of the moon’s blessings, zipping over the pests he was chasing. His initial attempt at quietly assassinating had failed, which was arguably to be expected given the small size of these foes. Instead, Noel opted for a plan B: herd them up and take them down all at once.

Noel’s feet paced forth rhythmically as Erebus was demeaned to a bushwacker. The blade, light as ever thanks to its gravitational aura, mowed through the disturbing shrubbery with ease, leaving behind a path of perfectly smooth cuts. If being a sorcerer ever failed, at least he could become one killer Gardener.

Once the outskirts of the forest entered his peripheral, An earnest smile manifested on his face. If he could successfully lure them out of the forest, Sirius could easily take care of the situation. If that failed, however, some more improvisation would be necessary.

The first footstep reached out of the tree line- it was showtime. The feeble bat-beetle beasts scurried forth in a twist of turns and lunges, fully aware of the threat behind. Astra slid to a halt as the golden crossbow came into reality. Immediately, a blast of light bit through the night’s darkness, successfully ridding the world of two amalgamations. A series of smaller bolts followed, though most would fail to miss their mark. Perhaps these creatures were better than expected, after all.

This performer wasn’t out of party tricks yet, though. Aiming the crossbow into the air, another blast was discarded, flaring up to release a bright flash of light. The increasing screeches were like music to Noel’s ears, though the growingly chaotic movement patterns were not. Annoyed that the blinding didn’t create the desired effect, Noel fired off another flurry of golden blots, this time having only slightly more success. To make matters worse, the new tree line was in sight. It was about time to clean up this mess.

A star-crossed robe manifested around the blue-haired sorcerer as his trusty blade returned to his hand. Bending his knees and jumping up, slivers of light began to circle around his body, sending him lunging into the night sky. The hourglass around his neck spun frantically, coming to a halt as Noel reached his highest point. Suddenly, gravity slowed, and so did the lifespan of the creatures around.

With one slash, a vicious tear turned gravity into its plaything, causing the air to feel heavier than ever. The floating fiends began to lose their biggest advantage, seemingly incapable of flying further. One by one, they would greet the metal edge of Erebus, which would make the last sight they would ever lay eyes on. Finally, peace returned to the night, though something felt off..
