Teresa wriggled at the lock of the safe. She had already cracked the first tumbler and tried to remember how it was supposed to go from there. Like with most things, Teresa did have some experience with it. She did spend a few years as a burglar on the side and occasionally picking a lock during a mission was quite useful. However cracking safes was a completely different category and in this case quite impossible. The model she was trying to crack had not existed back than and even if it did… cracking safes was not like riding a bicycle. Somehow she had managed to get the first tumbler with a combination of pure luck and a tiny bit of skill. However the second would need to be perfect or the entire safe would simply reset.

With a sigh Teresa relaxed and moved back from the safe. A bit frustrated she pounded her fist on the safe a few times, but it would not budge and instead made her hand hurt. Just as she should have known. Being old however does not automatically imply wisdom.

A thick throbbing vein pulsed across the silver eyed witches forehead and she let herself fall backwards on her ass and crossing both her legs and her arms as she stared at the safe. She knew she should not even be here, however her guild was neutral and she was allowed to sometimes cross the line. As long as she would not go on a killing spree or something. Still… it did not really feel good to her. Yet the reward of tasting that secret cake recipe was simply too much of a temptation.

As she sat and calmed down a bit she lit one of her black cigars and thought things through a bit. She had successfully snuck into the mansion of chef Dorvald. It seemed like nobody was awake during the dead of night and there had not been any guards, except for those outside. Making Teresa’s job rather easy. Off course the fact that this state of the art safe cost as much as she made in thirty years, was a good reason not to need any extra security. However in the end that also meant there was only one thing to do. If she were to ask for the password, it would be too obvious what she was after.

“Yara yara… what a mess.” She sighed as she stood up, held out her arm and summoned her sword. With a poof of white smoke it appeared in her stretched out arm. Instantly black lines formed around the edges, soon covering the entire blade. “haki slash!” She calmly said as she swung the blade upwards, slicing through the thick steel door as if it was butter.

Deep inside the mansion an alarm went off and instantly Teresa senses the activity was increasing everywhere. She did not need long though. She took a copying device from her pocket, quickly walked into the room sized vault, copied the secret recipe and than made her way out.

Before she left the way she came though -through the window- she pulled an incendiary grenade from her belt and threw it into the vault. At the very least it would do a bit of a damage and make it a bit less clear what she had actually been searching for. As it exploded in a ball of fire and smoke, Teresa smiled briefly, before pulling the scarves back over her face to hide her identity and jump out of the window.

“Here is it. Now I expect a cake to be delivered to me by the end of each week, or I might just forget our deal and tell chef Dorvald I might know where to find his recipe.” She said with a devious grin as she dropped of the copying device in the lap of her employer.

As long as he kept his end of the bargain, she would never utter a word about what had happened tonight. If not… well she tended to talk a lot when she was drinking.
