Name: Akane Ayahime
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Birthday: January 1
Sexuality: Bi-sexual
Special Characteristics: N/A
Personality: Akane Ayahime, commonly called Aya by her friends, is born of a regular family from the country of Midi. With her above average intellect, her ever-loving parents who nurtured and supported her interests her interests since birth which included psychology, anatomy, pulmonology and overall science and technology. This scientific curiosity would be balanced out by another genre of study she was interested in: Magic. Aya would also read about spirits, elementals and other supernatrual forces of nature, striving to strike the balance between science and magic and see if they was any correlation whatsoever, with the ultimate goal of mastering both, and understanding why different societies would lean more towards the other extreme end of the spectrum. The people in her town would look up to this cheerful and helpful girl, and made it their business to know what's going on in her life, in an attempt to raise their own children like her, practically forcing them to be like her as her intellect, and personality grew with her age. However, from the two, it would appear throughout her teenage years, her interest in science would prove to be a little greater when she declared to her parents that she wanted to be a doctor, a surgeon even to help their town who did not have its own medical center yet. Naturally, the people caught wind of her decision through gossip and uncomfortably expressed their support of this endeavor. This only provide her too much pressure on her and she realized that she needed time for herself, and in these dark lonely moments, she would dabble in another area of the supernatural in an attempt to calm her mind and understand the voices in her head that science simply called anxiety; she turned to demonology and she grew ever fond of it, eventually claiming to be friends with the voices only she can hear.
Years would pass and the ever so intelligent Aya would shock her town upon knowing that she had given up her initial desire of being a doctor and instead decided to leave Midi altogether for a place called Hostia which naturally disappointed the townspeople. In Midi, which was a place in between Fiore and Bosco, Aya never felt closer to the the sides of her interest spectrum and began trying to learn immediately all that she could from the place, from formal institutions to travels from both Fiore and Bosco. Not long after, it had proved difficult to provide Aya with the financial assistance she required to study oversees with her family's reputation forever tarnished when she disappointed her town, prompting her to look for work within Hostia. Her misfortune did not end there however, because the only work she could find was being a part-time helper for this wicked family that maltreated her severely and took advantage of her. She began to slowly realize the chaos and unfairness the world possessed. Like before, she turned to her books, especially books on demonology. Now broken, from all she had been through it was apparent to everyone around her that she had changed, her anxiety, now coupled with depression had made the bright woman indifferent towards the world, almost shunning away everyone around her just by looking at her, and they say that all that they can see, is a girl with her head down, muttering something incoherent.
Soon after, Hostia was attack by a guild, claiming to have liberated it from the chaos an inequality. At least that's how it looked in Aya's eyes. Amidst the fighting, she had found the family she had been serving nearly beaten to death, begging for help. But she only stood still. Slowly, all they could hear were their dying breaths, and slowly the sad girl lifted her face into view. She was smiling. And from her lips, she uttered only two words. The first two words she had clearly uttered in months. "How cute." before pulling out a knife from behind her and stabbed them all repeatedly. When the deed was done, she rose from the blood and was intent on finding the liberators of Hostia. She had been reduced to a mere servant by these people and she herself only to be such. If that was to be her fate, she would at least be able to choose who she will serve, those who were worthy of her.
Likes:
- Science = Despite all she has been through, she still found pleasure in her old interests.
- Magic = Same with science, she still strives to find that balance in the world and perhaps now, with her opened eyes, she can do something about it. Make it "right".
- Sadism = Throughout her deep dive in demonology and the occult, she had grown a certain attachment for sacrifices. Even being the nice girl that she is and tried to put herself in her old master's shoes, only to find their sadism "appealing".
Dislikes:
- Ignorance = She was still an intellectual, and as such she had always despised ignorance.
- Sour taste = Her life was already sour, she didn't wish to add any more to her life by tasting something sour as well.
- Men = She finds them stupid and a waste of time, in all her life her father was the only one whom she considered to be what a good man is.
Motivations:
- Balance = She wishes to know and understand the two extremities of the cultural spectrum. Science and Magic.
- Understanding the world = She wished to know she can about the world, so she can do something about it, on her own way.
- Freedom from the chaos = In her view, this world is full of evil and chaos. Inspired by the forces that attacked Hostia and subsequently liberated it, she wishes to do the same.
Fears:
- Midi = She doesn't like being back there, stepping foot in her native country might trigger memories, the start of her spiral, one that another voice, her conscience will not let her rest for.
- Her Parents = While she feared Midi in general, she was even more afraid of her parents. If they saw what had become of her.
- Mirrors = Like her parents, a part of her cannot stand what she had become, as such looking at herself sends her into a mental breakdown as numerous voices would then begin to speak.
