Description:
It had been there for who knows how long. A simple shrine in the middle of the village that was said to be a beacon for a mythical bird of flame. Most thought of it as simply a novelty, a cute little relic of the past but for one particular woman, it became far more than that. A tall, blonde haired woman, scarred from a violent marital relationship and forced to sit helplessly as she watched her daughter slowly succumb to a slow and painful illness for which there seemed to be no cure. At the end of her rope, the woman had come to the shrine and begged for something, anything that could help her in her moment of desperate need. Falling to her knees, she wept in front of the shrine, letting all of her pent up sadness out and saturating the ground around her with her tears. It all seemed so hopeless but to her immense surprise and delight...something answered her prayers.

The sound of birdsong would manage to penetrate through the woman's wails and as she looked up, an enormous bird would descend from the sky, coming to a halt in front of her. The heat it gave off was almost overwhelming but it made no aggressive move against her, a look of almost understanding crossing its features. Tears would begin to well up in the creature and a few would scorch the earth as they fell. Unable to speak, the woman could only stare, her blue grey gaze meeting that of the bird but in truth, there was no need for words. Their gazes said it all and after a full minute of contemplation, the avian would briefly inhale and then unleash its flames upon the woman, surrounding her with its warmth but not causing any harm. No, it was blessing her with its strength, both literal and mental, rekindling the life and will of the woman in front of it. The warmth that the blonde haired woman felt in those few moments had only ever been felt once before, when she had first held her daughter in her arms.

With a farewell cry, the phoenix would rise back up into the sky, before performing a fancy twirl and flying away, leaving the woman to simply stare up at it with awe. Yet, as she gazed up, there was a particular glint in her eyes that had not been there before. The fire of the phoenix.

Abilities:
• Phoenix's Magic: Increases Bastila's spell damage by 110% (Maxes out at 120% at S rank.)

• Phoenix's Strength: Increases Bastila's physical strength by 110% (Maxes out at 120% at S rank.)

• Phoenix's Speed: Increases Bastila's movement speed by 110% (Maxes out at 120% at S rank.)

• Phoenix's Defence: Increases Bastila's physical and magical resistance by 50%

• Phoenix's Stamina: Decreases the cost of Bastila's spells by 50%

• Phoenix's Charm: Increases the amount of jewels that Bastila receives from jobs by 100%

Abilities:
• Flight: Bastila is able to create a flaming pair of wings which she can use for flight at any time.

• Immortality: If she is brought to the verge of death, Bastila simply turns to ash and reforms from them at a later time.

• Long Lifespan: Phoenix's have a naturally long lifespan and Bastila has inherited that gift, with a bonus being that she also ages far slower than normal.

• Empathy: Bastila is far more sensitive to the feelings of others than normal, allowing her to easily understand the emotional state of others, as if she was feeling them herself. This requires OOC permission to be used on players or player owned NPC's.
