Taiga's Return [Social] Empty Taiga's Return [Social]

Post by Taiga 13th December 2019, 7:13 pm

It had been a little over three months since Taiga last stepped foot in the Sabertooth Guild Hall. He has been travelling all over Fiore doing various jobs in varying locations and it seemed like that every time he wanted to head back to the guild, he'd find himself a new job to take on. Taiga has the responsibility of providing for his family, his father injured himself in a previous job and because of this, he could no longer provide for his family. To support his family so that they could continue living a stable life, fifty percent of Taiga's earnings are sent back to his family. It was something he didn't mind doing but it did bother him a little. He has two older siblings, a brother and sister who could also help provide for their family, but they for some reason don't have that responsibility. He just figured it must be because he is the youngest child and that he wasn't going to be having a family of his own any time soon.

The young mage had arrived back in town earlier that morning, immediately heading over to the dorms to unpack his belongings and souvenirs before making an appearance at the guild hall. Once he had done so, he made his way to the local tavern where he order a meal... Or more. Being in the tavern for a little over an hour now, Taiga had already demolished twelve plates, fourteen bowls and nine glasses of varying foods and non-alcoholic liquids and he didn't seem like he was anywhere close to finishing. "Excuse me! More marinated chicken wings please!" He called out to the young waitress walking around who returned his call with a look of confusion, disgust and surprise just by looking at the table of his collected plates, bowls and glasses. The woman just shook her head and walked back through the doors that led into the kitchen to place his order while Taiga began to suck of the residue of food from his fingers.

Taiga's Return [Social] Empty Re: Taiga's Return [Social]

Post by Musicalbunny 15th December 2019, 7:18 pm

It was a pretty normal day in the Sabertooth guild hall. Harriet had yet to do a job as of yet. Though, she was notified that one would be coming up for her soon. Of course, she didn't have to be assigned jobs by the guild, but there weren't really any that interested her as of yet. She had gone through years of training, and the most she could do right now was mostly doing small odd jobs to try and get her recognition Sabertooth bolstered up. So, she decided to wait for a bit, hoping to find a partner whom she could do some better jobs with. For now, it didn't seem like anyone was open to do anything, which was fine with her in all honesty. It wasn't as though she was mad or anything, because she understood that people were busy with other things, like bigger and better jobs. Besides, even if she was, it would be extremely subtle due to the training that she did.

With that in mind, she left her room, hoping to get a bite to eat in the tavern that was near the guild hall. There was a lot of history behind it, but she would get to learning about it later. All she knew as of now, was that the tavern was affiliated with Sabertooth in someway, which meant that she'd be able to go there with ease. So, as she entered the dorm room, she took a seat near the front of the room, waiting on a server to come and get her order. However, it looked like the tavern was booked for some reason. She didn't realize why until she looked over to see plates stacking on top of one another. The person behind the stack seemed to have an appetite that was befitting of an old friend she had once known. The two of them had tried to keep in touch once before, but Harriet's training was getting tougher during the time, so she had to cut ties with him. It wasn't ideal for her considering what her core values were, but at the time her core values were based around being able to experience what she wanted. So, she had to give him up.

As she reminisced about the time, she heard a voice come out from the area. She wasn't sure if it was possible, but she had heard the voice of the boy from before talking to the waiter. She then stood up and walked towards the table to see if she was actually correct. In didn't take more than a moment before she had learned that the person who was eating out the tavern was Taiga. She then hugged Taiga intensely, letting out a cry of joy as she said to him, "I can't believe it's you! Why are you here? I didn't think I'd really ever see you again, but I'm so glad I had!" With that, she coughed a bit, and drained down her emotions, knowing that any sort of influx in emotion could disrupt the balance she had created. Her face went from extremely happy to a calmer and gentler one now, as she sat down right next to Taiga.

Taiga's Return [Social] Empty Re: Taiga's Return [Social]

Post by Taiga 15th December 2019, 10:18 pm

The waitress brought out another plate of marinated chicken wings and placed them down in front of the young mage who was already eyeballing the juicy meat and licking his lips. "Thank you!" In a high tone, clearly ready to devour yet another plate of food, obviously too preoccupied to notice the waitress roll her eyes and walk off with a sigh. He took hold of one of the wings and popped it in his mouth, not caring to wipe away any of the sauce from around his mouth or fingers. It was at this moment that young mage was suddenly embraced by a stranger and wasn't sure of what to do in the situation. He froze for a moment, half a chicken wing hanging out the side of his mouth as he slowly turned to this woman with a confused expression.

When Taiga's eyes met with the strangers, it all suddenly came clear. Taiga's jaw dropped open, the chicken wing falling out into his lap and he too returned an embrace. "Harriet!" The young mage called out, completely taken by surprise at the sight of a young woman he was once friends with several years ago. It had definitely been some time since they last saw each other and Taiga wasn't 100% on the exact dates but either way he was incredibly happy to see her. "What am I doing here? How about you? What are you doing here?" His tone had completely changed from when he spoke to the waitress, his voice was a high pitch which indicated a legitimate happiness. Taiga picked up the chicken wing that had fallen in his lap and placed it back on the place, taking hold of a napkin and beginning to wipe the mess from his mouth, fingers and lap to make himself look a little more presentable for such an old friend.

He couldn't help but smile at her. He remembered that she had to keep her emotions in check back then too but it was stood good to see those few moments where she let them out every once and a while. "Wow! How long has it been? 3 years?" He asked, trying to think back. "The last time I saw you was Clover Town." The two of them had tried to stay in contact through letters but a long distance relationship of any kind was difficult. He didn't hold any hard feelings towards her for cutting ties, if she hadn't he probably would have done so in the future anyway because it was only a few months later that he started taking on more and more requests to keep himself busy. "Have dinner with me! Let's catch up." He said, pushing a majority of the plates and bowls to the side to make some room. That's right, he still hasn't finished eating.

Taiga's Return [Social] Empty Re: Taiga's Return [Social]

Post by Musicalbunny 16th December 2019, 11:12 pm

As the boys voice raised up a tone in pitch, Harriet laughed, saying back to him "Well, as you know, I was training to become a guild mage. That's why I couldn't really keep up with you for a while. Although I loved you a lot as a friend, I had to let you go. Now, I'm happy to say that I'm a member of Sabertooth. I haven't done a lot of mage work, because even with all my training, I'm not able to do any of the substantial jobs that I wanted to do. So, what about you? Last I heard of you, you were travelling the world. It's odd for you to be back in Ace of Spades."

Harriet then replied back to Taiga's question, saying to him, "Wow, 3 years. I can't believe it. I've grown so much, and it looks like you have as well. Clover Town was an amazing place to learn. With all the history there, I was able to get what I needed and set off. It was only a week or so after you left before I did as well." Whenever she was in clover town, she had met up with one of her family friends, who like her was an exile. Of course, her family didn't talk to the person that much anymore, because once you become an exile, a kill order is sent for your head. The woman was there as her mentor for a short amount of time. She had taught her a lot of the training exercises she still practices today. If it wasn't for her, Harriet wouldn't have known where to start. She had slowly ramped up the woman's exercises, bit by bit until she had formed a complete tolerance to their extremes. However, she couldn't stay there for long, because her parents came knocking on the door for the two of them. Her mentor's sacrafice was what kept Harriet alive to this day, or at least the version of herself that she wanted alive. So, Harriet had to cut ties with Taiga for a bit, knowing that communication was a no go. If she sent a note, it was likely that both her and Taiga would be killed. That's why Harriet went to the mountains, to bare the extremes of cold, and that's where she was for a long while.

Thinking about all the things that led her to this moment made her smile a bit, happy for how much she had grown. She was excited to catch with Taiga, but she wasn't too sure how much she'd let Taiga know. She was comfortable with him, but she wasn't too sure if she wanted him to be dragged into her family history. So, this dinner was going to come out surprising in one way or the other. With that, Harriet said to Taiga, "Well, let's get to eating. Or at least more eating." As she looked down at the stack of plates in front of Taiga, she laughed.

Post by Victoria Sheridan 16th December 2019, 11:56 pm

Wearing her white Steel Matron t-shirt and black skirt with white tennis shoes, Victoria made her way into the tavern to get something to drink. A few minutes ago she had searched the job boards for anything interesting and nothing had piqued her interest, so the brunette had opted to go get a drink and come back later to see if anything interesting had been posted. Victoria stepped into the busy tavern and spotted a red-haired young woman she had never seen before facing a blond guy she had never seen before. They must be a couple of new mages who were taking advantage of the perks of membership in Sabertooth.

The redhead was chatting amicably with the blond guy, who had accumulated quite a few plates of food and drink sitting in front of him. Both of their magic signatures were fairly weak, marking them as novice mages. Victoria had met quite a few novice mages in her time with Black Rose and Sabertooth and knew that the novices of today would be the experienced mages of tomorrow... if they had some help and encouragement along the way. Maybe the brunette should introduce herself to them. Victoria carefully made her way to the table and introduced herself to the redhead and the blond.

"Hi guys. I'm Victoria Sheridan." Victoria casually introduced herself to the two. They seemed to be doing just fine without her. If they did not want her here, she could go sling drinks or get a drink of her own. Maybe she would even get a mixed drink that was not a Screwdriver.

Taiga's Return [Social] Empty Re: Taiga's Return [Social]

Post by Taiga 17th December 2019, 1:07 am

Taiga had actually forgotten that Harriet was training in order to become a guild member. He knew she had a legitimate reason as to why she stopped all contact with him but he honestly forgot what the reason was. To hear that she was now a member of Sabertooth was actually a thrilling piece of news, he had always wondered what guild she would end up choosing and to think that the two of them ended up in the same guide was just perfect, like it was just meant to be. "Not really. I mean... Yeah, I traveled around Fiore quite a lot, doing various requests and sightseeing but I wouldn't say it is odd to be in Ace of Spades since my guild is here." The boy smirked and stood up from his seat, only to turn to his left, reach down with his right arm and take a hold of the right side of his pants. He proceeded to pull down his pants on the right side so that it only showed his right butt cheek to which had his guild tattoo colored in neon green. "I'm a member of Sabertooth too." He chuckled.

Taiga agreed with her statement, she had definitely grown and so had Taiga. Although they recognised each other, there was no denying that their appearances had changed over the years but at least they found each other again. Taiga was a little anti-social when he was younger because he believed everyone would mistreat him since he was gay. Harriet was not only the first person to accept him for who he was but she was also the first person Taiga had ever told, face-to-face, outloud. Its no wonder their friendship has lasted even though they lost contact. The young mage pulled his pants back up and turned back around, taking his seat from before as she mentioned more eating, an excited look forming on his face. "Its so good to see how much you grown and to see that you have stayed healthy." He said with a smile.

It was at this moment that another young woman approached them and at first Taiga was a little surprised and confused. Surprised because even being gay, he has never had this much attention from women before and confused because even if they thought he was straight, this is more attention he has ever had from women. It took a moment to settle in before Taiga realised who had approached them. "V-victoria!?" He had heard of the young mage before, knowing too well that she was a fellow member of the Sabertooth Guild. "Hi, my name is Taiga, Taiga Beongae." He said smiling, signalling with his hand to take a seat with them. He didn't know too much about her, only things he has heard listening in on other conversations. He had been a member of the guild for over a year and there were still many faces he didn't know.

Taiga's Return [Social] Empty Re: Taiga's Return [Social]

Post by Musicalbunny 18th December 2019, 4:52 pm

Harriet had gasped at the hearing of Taiga as a Sabertooth mage. She didn't think that Taiga had mentioned it much, if he did many years ago. Either way, it was still surprising to her that one of her closest friends was in the same guild as her. It made her a lot happier than she expected it to. She was sort of expecting that kind of response, but now that she actually heard it, she was as happy as she could let herself be. With that, she smiled and said to him, "I can't believe we're going to be in the same guild together. I really hope that we can do a lot of jobs together. The darkies won't know what hit them." Her smile grew a tiny bit wider, but she still kept that calm look on her face that she always had.

As the two of them were talking, a woman had approached them. She was a brown haired woman, and there was something about her that made her seem intimidating. It wasn't until she got closer that Harriet realized what it was. Her magic signals were off the charts. The woman was even stronger than that of her family's. Having someone so strong come up to them was sort of scary, but Harriet obviously kept her cool. After all, it was a part of her training, and she also didn't want to leave a bad impression on someone she would probably be seeing more of. Especially due to the fact that Taiga had recognized her. So, as the two of them introduced herself, Harriet stood up and said to her in her natural calm and soothing voice, "Hi, my name is Harriet Artemesia, nice to meet you." With that, she reached out her hand for a handshake.

Victoria received the greetings of the pair with ease. She could tell that the strength of her magic signature was more than a little intimidating to them, so she tried to be as friendly as possible to set them at ease. She too had once been the new guy and had been intimidated by the raw power Izayuki, Astrid Foss, and the other powerful mages who had called Black Rose home possessed. Out of the Sabertooth mages only Samira Nassar was stronger than Victoria in terms of raw power, but from all accounts Samira was cool to be around and quite popular with the people of Earthland. Itori was also another powerful mage who did not let power go to her head and a person who was fun to be around, as was Gaia. Rousing herself from her daydreaming, Victoria focused on the guy named Taiga Beongae and the girl named Harriet Artemisia.

"Nice to meet you, Harriet." Victoria said before she took Harriet's hand and firmly shook it while her eyes met the redhead's. After a few moments she let go and focused on Taiga, a fellow Sabertooth mage who she had never seen before today. Based on her first impression of Taiga, he seemed like a pretty cool guy who did not take himself too seriously. Victoria could get along with someone like that.

"Hey Taiga, I don't think we've met before today. You must be a member of Sabertooth who was here before I joined." Victoria said to the blond fellow sitting at the table.

Post by Taiga 19th December 2019, 2:07 am

Hearing that Harriet wanted to do some jobs with him was a nice thing to hear. He had been doing a lot of jobs on his own since joining the guild and having someone there to keep him company as well as aid him on those jobs would be greatly beneficial. "I can't wait." He exclaimed with another smile, genuinely excited to be doing some jobs with her in the future.

"Nope, we haven't met before." Taiga confirmed as he looked to the new arrival as she took a seat. "Though, I'm not sure whether I was a member before or after you joined." He continued. "I joined a little over a year ago and I haven't spent a lot of time with the fellow members of the guild because I have been travelling a lot with different jobs and such." He had heard of Victoria a few times when he had returned to the guild hall but had never met nor gathered a great amount of detail on her. All he knew was that she was a powerful mage and had excelled greatly.

"So what brings you here? If you don't mind me asking." Taiga asked Victoria as he picked up another piece of marinated chicken wing and placed it in his mouth, only to pick up the plate and offer a piece to both the women in front of him. "Ish gwood" he said, food in his mouth as he spoke.
