Victus grew up in a loving family who were well to do, anything he wanted he would receive. But it never seemed to be enough. Everything seemed so… boring. He’s always excelled in anything he’s tried, sports, academics, business, etc. Life is just dull when you can do everything, stumbling upon magic has provided temporary relief. He tends to be calculating and interested in danger as a way to try to test himself as well as the magic he has acquired even further, he loves failure.

Victus isn’t affected by blood, gore or violence. He believes that to be disgusted at such a thing is to be prudish because they are just a part of the human experience. He believes the world is just one plane of many, that there is much more than it lets on to. That there has to be more, there has to be something else to this life. His hunger for answers led him to study extensively in darker arts as he found that caution left him numb. Victus’ does put himself in undesirable situations by asking too many questions. He feels pain but he will go through what it takes to just get a shot of feeling alive. Pain beats feeling numb.

He is able to almost completely blend in with a crowd, from an outsider’s perspective. Victus communicates with people because he feels it is a part of the equation and some knowledge can only be learned through word of mouth. After all, rumors are just twisted truths. The self is a construct of man, he believes we that we must be missing a puzzle piece to enlightenment because those living on this plane have not pushed the laws of nature enough. To just believe in something and wish it to happen is folly, as he reminds himself when he doubts his pursuits, “It is folly for a man to pray to the gods for that which he has the power to obtain by himself.” Power, answers, feeling, living is something that we must obtain ourselves.

• Knowledge, he craves it and believes there is no such thing as knowing enough but there is such a thing as knowing too little. It holds so much power to learn and seek that which is unknown.
• Failure, Victus is adamant that the greatest recipe for success is failure. In knowing where one fails is understanding something they did not before.
• Coffee, if it was not for the beautiful substance he would not be able to stay awake to read, study, practice and learn. He strongly thinks this is one of the greatest inventions of mankind.

Dislikes
• Boredom, he hates being bored because for him it is a waste of time when he could be pursuing something else of value.
• Hedonism, indulging too much in carnal human revelries and wasting ones time in fruitless endeavors.
• Calzones, it’s just a pizza that was wrapped up and it’s a disgrace to pizzas everywhere.

Motivations:
• His main motivator is learning the meaning of life.
• Studying all the knowledge that is available.
• Sipping all the different coffees in the world.
