"I... should find something to do... I'm running low on money..." A black haired girl murmurs as she approaches the job board within the guild of Sabertooth. Most of the jobs available right now didn't seem like they'd be too great for her to do. She was still getting used to her magic. "Something simple... Something simple..." She murmurs to herself before her eyes laid upon a paper with big letters on the top. 'No Magic Required! Need Assistance Building A House. Will Pay.' That's what the paper on the job board said. Gaia grabs the paper off the bored gently, and smiles to herself. "This seems quite lovely..." She murmurs. She begun to read the finer print on the paper. 'Need Help Building A Home For My Daughter, Who Is Getting Married In A Few Months, As A Wedding Gift. We Are Located In The Mountain Village.' The white, fluffy creature on the girls neck purred a bit as she got herself comfortable on her favorite perch.

Gaia smiles as she adjusts her blue glasses and shifts her Cloak on her shoulders. "I suppose my cloak will be helpful here... Lets get going, Noya." She muses as she takes the paper with her to go after the train. She barely made it to the station before the train was to leave, and jumps on rather quickly. She needed to have a better sense of time for things. A smile is on her face as she has been enjoying her time in Fiore. Nothing could lure her away from here. "I'm lucky I came here and managed to gain citizenship..." She rubs her ferrets head gingerly while she rests her eyes for a bit while on the train. When she reached the last stop on the train, Gaia had managed to get a carriage and traveled from there to Mountain Village. The scenery was beautiful, and made her take her iLac out to get a picture of it. She would have to show Kyran the next time she saw him. She bet he'd enjoy the scenery there. Maybe they could come back together one day? If Kyran would care to come with her.

Shaking her head and smacking her cheeks, Gaia takes a deep breath and exits the carriage. Thoughts of Kyran would have to wait another day. She walks up to where the start of a house had already been built, and looks around the area for signs of someone being there. There didn't seem to be too much of anyone besides the supplies left about. "Hello? Is Bartre or Ninko here?" She calls out as she holds the paper out in front of her. A young man, about early twenties, came out from behind a pile of wood, and raises an eyebrow to her.

"I'm Ninko. How do you know of my father and I?" He questions her. "You can't do much around here, you're short. And look rather weak." He says as he crosses his arms over his chest. He then seems to pale a bit as he spies someone behind Gaia.

The young mage turns her head and gasps as she sees a brawny man coming up from behind her. The man was older than Ninko here, and had greying hair. Despite his hair greying, and looking like he was older, he also looked like he was quite fit and wouldn't stop working till someone struck him down. "Ninko!" The man's voice was deep as it bellowed to the boy in front of Gaia, making him flinch. "What are you doing flirting around? Get back to work. That mage should be here any minute. And you, young miss, this isn't a place for children."

Gaia puts her hand on her hip as she glares at the guy. "I will have you know that I am twenty-one years old... and I am that mage you're looking for." She huffs as she crosses her arms over her chest. Noya was growling a bit on her shoulders as she was feeling protective of Gaia now. "If you don't want my help, then I can leave immediately since I'm apparently not welcomed. I'm surprise your daughter is getting married with people like you two. Or maybe I'm glad she's technically able to leave you two." She grumbles as she starts to make her way back where she came from. Honestly? Gaia was scared crapless over comment. She was never that bold before.

"W-wait! Miss! I'm Sorry, I'm Bartre. That's my son Ninko. We didn't realize you were the mage... You look a tad small." The brawny man says as he rubs his head. "I apologize... It's been a long month. With my daughters marriage, and this house I'm wanting to build her... It's getting to me. May you help us? Without magic? I don't believe doing a job, especially one like this, should require magic anyways." He explains to her. Gaia huffs and crosses her arms as she looks at Bartre. "Alright, go help Ninko move the wood for the walls. I want this house ready here soon." He tells her. "Oh, I should probably be a bit polite and ask what is your name. Can you tell me?"

"Gaia. Gaia Sabin." Bartre nods in approval from the response as he goes off to the other side of the house to do something. Gaia goes over to help Ninko with the wood, like was requested of her. Ninko looks to her quietly as Gaia goes to pick up an end of a log. "You have to lift with your knees. Geez... I don't think you should be here. You should just go home." He mutters to her while picking up the other end of the wood she had grabbed. Gaia looks back at him and just drops the wood as she glares at him. "What the hell?! You're supposed to be helping! Not ruining the wood!" Gaia crossed her arms over her chest as she just glares at him. He growls at her as he sees her just standing there. "Would you pick up the wood? There's no reason for you to be dropping it like so! Just pick up the damn wood and help me put it against the foundation! Maybe you should just get out of here and go play pretend mage."

Gaia sighs and takes a step back. She shakes her head a bit as she removed her glasses for a moment. "I think you need to reevaluate your attitude. You've been nothing but rude to me. Even your father apologized to me. Is there something wrong with a woman helping you out? Are women not allowed to build things in your mind? Do you have something against women? What would your sister think if she heard all the comments you're saying to me right now? Hm? Would she be proud to be your sister? Or is it just me? Since you want me to leave so badly."

Bartre had come over as he heard Gaia's voice get louder and louder. Ninko didn't seem to see her, and glares as he steps closer. Noya was growling on Gaia's shoulder while Gaia held her arms over her chest. "I have a problem with people like you underestimating a builders ability to do some work and thinking that anyone can do it. You city jerks think that they can do anything and everything and always quit midway of your job!"

"Ninko!" A voice boomed, making both him and Gaia look at Bartre in shock. "I think Nino would be ashamed to call you her brother with how you're talking to this mage right now. I put on the ad to not use magic. Most mages probably bypassed this because of that." He had his arms crossed over his chest as he walks over to them. "I'm sorry for his behavior, Miss Sabin. You can help me with bolting down the wall instead while Ninko sets up the walls." He says as he walks off to where he had been before. Gaia had taken a deep breath and begun to remove her cloak and her sweater as she followed the man to the other side of the house. She revealed she had a white tank top on under her sweater. "Can you see about holding the wall up? Or can you hammer?"

"I'm sorry for causing your trouble with your son. If I had known he-"

"Don't worry about it. Ninko is upset that his sister is going to be moving out. It's nothing against you. Here. Why don't you hammer, and I hold the walls. You seem like you won't be able to hold the walls. Why did you choose to accept my ad?" Bartre asks as he hands Gaia the hammer. He pushes up the wall and puts the nail in. "Hammer it lightly, but quickly to not bend the nail." He instructs her.

Gaia takes the hammer, and gingerly moves her hand in to take the nail and follows Bartre's instructions. She was quiet for a moment, before she takes a deep breath. "I'll be honest, I didn't know what to expect about building a house. But I knew I could still try. I don't have any magic, so I figured this could be an easy job from the start since I didn't have any magic to use. I hope I'm still helpful regardless off my lack of ability to help fully." She tells him. Her confession was greeted by a laugh from Bartre. Gaia's head turns quickly to look at him, pouting slightly.

"You remind me of Nino. She'd probably say the same thing." He tells her and nods while motioning with his head to continue with hammering. "You're doing a good job, leave a space and continue." He tells her and they continue on. Gaia was quick to get the hang of using the lighter tools, and only needed help with the bigger tools. Gaia also had carried things between the two of the men to speed up building it. By evening, the house was finished, and the temperature started to drop. Bartre had given Gaia her sweater back, and she quickly puts it on, along with her cloak. Noya was purring happily on Gaia's shoulders as she was loving the cold.

"Thank you for your help, Miss Sabin. Here is your reward for helping us out." He tells her and puts a bag of jewels in her hand. Gaia smiles and bows her head to him a bit. "Thank you! If you need help again, I won't be afraid to help you out." She muses before she starts to head back to find someplace to hail a carriage. "Ninko... why not get a cute wife like her?" He asks. Gaia wasn't too far off, and heard that, quickly turning around and looking back at the two men with red cheeks from embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry! I... uh... have someone already!" She calls out before she leaves with quick steps.
