While performing some studying in the library of the magic user's home, a rather large and opulent castle; Kaori had come across documents regarding a very peculiar topic. She had heard of machines that could take people vast distances in relatively little time, and had seen one such machine in Magnolia some time ago. The machine was hungry, having been cut off from its' source of nourishment it had collapsed and had not the strength to move on. The owner of the machine had explained they operate on magic energy, the same thing magic users used to cast magic spells. The documents she'd come across were for a different type of machine from the large, bulky one that the man was using. It was a smaller machine, easily one-third the size of his 'mail truck' as he referred to it as. It had two wheels instead of four, and according to the document, could move faster than most machines.

Kaori had seen similar versions of these and rode them herself back when her clan was alive. Bicycles, things with two wheels powered by the rider using their feet to turn a set of pedals that in turn moved a chain and made the back wheel move, thus resulting in the thing moving forward, were the closest comparison. Even with their wheels being quite thin, once the rider started moving they were extremely stable. Looking at the machine Kaori recited the name under her breath "Mo...tor...cycle" not caring if anyone heard her muffled voice through the mask. Her eyes narrowed in on the bottom of the page that said there was a discount available for those who presented an official drivers' license, something Kaori didn't have.

After asking a couple of random clan members nearby, Kaori had found that the required item was a piece of plastic that signified the owner was a half decent driver. The way to get one was to go to a place called Motor City and take a test. Kaori didn't know about these machines, much less how to control the beasts and she didn't want to waste her time with learning since that would take forever. Each animal acted different, so riding one animal and riding another was different; the only way to make peace with the machine she obtained... this, motorcycle, was to get it first and then train it. Kaori had quickly devised a plan to procure this 'drivers' license' without needing the test, and began making her way to the land called Motor City.

After a week long journey through the unknown lands, Kaori arrived at a city filled with people riding in machines similar to the one the mail delivery boy had used. With her was a group of five beings she'd managed to charm into helping her cause... tigers. These were't any particular manner of tiger, no they were special. The tigers were white with blue stripes, and a bit that would put a power plant out of business. Kaori used her way with flesh beasts to get them on her side, which was why the trip took so long for her. She headed to the place where they had that which she wanted and followed their procedure of requesting an appointment. The man that would be working with her was a friendly sort who wasn't at all afraid of her mask, but rather intrigued by it and took to asking about it. "This mask is a personal item from a long dead clan of noble warriors. It represents that which you see, hiding that which you cannot. It is a shell, a husk, a tool of deception just like the one wearing it." she said calmly, the man accepting her explanation.

Just before the trial of driving commenced, Kaori folded her arms under her chest and told the man he was going to pass her immediately, and take her on a trip in the vehicle. Naturally, the man laughed and thought it was a joke while saying she'd have to pass first. He quickly silenced himself when the maw of five large tigers, two standing atop his vehicle, three blocking his escape routes were threatening to end his career and life at the same time. Realizing the situation was much more dangerous than he'd anticipated, him, Kaori, and two of the tigers had gotten into the vehicle with Kaori in the back seat. One of the tigers was riding shotgun, and another was seated next to Kaori. The masked ninja ordered the man to drive the course and explain everything he was doing, her command ended with "Be smart, don't be a hero. You'll live longer..." and the passenger side tiger snarling to add terror to the mix. The proctor did as instructed, and Kaori took in every word with a grain of salt since deception was possible. At the end of the course, they got out and Kaori watched as the proctor wrote passing marks on her sheet, followed him inside and watched him file the paperwork, as well as waited while he brought her, her drivers' license. Afterwards she thanked him and left the building to take her tiger friends back home.
