It only took Aether a moment to notice but by that point it was too late, the enchantment on Alexander’s blade changed and he had raised it into the air, a blinding light filling Aether’s sight as he began to make his way after the leader, just barely getting in range of the light bound knight for a red dot representing the leader of the Rune Knights on his minimap. Bearing a bone toothed grin he charged forward towards the commander, relying entirely on his minimap to provide the location of the commander as he made his way towards Alexander. As he was moving forward he let power flow though his bones into his staff, pointing the short end of the weapon towards the commander. “Kaleidoscope!” The skeleton shouted, causing a multitude of portals to suddenly appear around the Rune Knight’s leader, constantly moving around in an unpredictable manor and reacting to the light that his weapon was producing, containing the large glow and redirecting it over and over back into the small radius that the portals contained, no doubt even blinding the caster of the spell itself as the light was condensed from its 200 meter radius down to a mere 40, increasing its effects 5 fold.

With little time to spare, Aether opened up the connection to Umbra once again as he struggled to regain his sight. I’ve got the enemy commander contained, lets finish this as fast as we can. The undead lord transmitted, shifting more energy into his staff as a ball of energy formed above the head of the staff. Umbra upon obtaining connection with Aether dived straight down from the great height that she had spent idly hanging in, crashing into the ground with barely a scratch directly opposite of Aether to the collection of portals. I’m ready when you are! The Abyss walker replied, a ball of abyss energy forming similar to the energy building up on Aethers staff only on a greater scale. Fire. Aether commanded, synchronising the releasing the built up ball of energy that had gathered on his staff with Umbra so that they fired in unison into the portal dome, the orbs quickly expanding and forming heavily expanded beams of pure energy.

The portals, reacting to the large amount of energy, instantly transported both insane amounts of energy inside the dome, and with the constant shifting of the portals there was no telling where the beams would come from, all that could be sensed from outside the dome was the sudden and large shockwave like a giant explosion had occurred, the pure abyss energy that had been released by Umbra had caused a large explosive wall of abyssal flame to be released within, and had it not been for the portal dome the blast would’ve caught both Aether and Umbra within, however all that energy and power was simply redirected back into the dome once more.

Relaxing herself Umbra moved back away from the dome, circling around slowly towards Aether as black mist surrounded her once more, shrinking as her form changed back to her glamour before moving to lean on Aether. “You think that might’ve been a bit overkill?” She asked, looking up at the skeleton man as he tapped his staff on the ground to stabilize himself. “He’s the commander of the Rune Knights, it’ll take a lot more than that to keep him down.” Aether answered, placing a hand in the small woman’s hair and ruffling it slightly. “As long as Kaleidoscope is running he won’t be able to move from this position.”

    stats:

@Alexander: At least you can say you have an explosive personality?

    Actions:

    • Set up Kaleidoscope with Alexander at the center
    • Redirected all light from enchantment into a 40x40 meter radius thanks to Kaleidoscope
    • Fired Nova Blast into Kaleidoscope
    • Fired Blaze of the Abyss into Kaleidoscope
    • Caused large explosion inside Kaleidoscope

Damage done is up to you, however you are unable to use any spells to escape the dome of constantly rotating portals

The burst of light and the sound of the horn signaled the full retreat of the coward known as Alexander. A growl would leave the woman's lips as her mercenaries found themselves free of those that they had gone up against; each one retreating at the sound of the horn and getting to safety in their own ways. "Run cowards! Add another victory to this Mercenaries record Alexander! You and your dogs are nothing in comparison!" The woman would throw her insults even as a golem from one of the girls came charging at her. Between her gun and the weapons of those around her the beast would be taken down with nothing but some injuries for her underlings. Knowing that there was no use in chasing them down she would drop her totems and give a general order to retreat and stand down. Even though she had not gotten a good fight the battle was over, they had won in the end.

    A z i s e !

    ` ` `

Nevermind. Hero was getting boring… literally doing nothing. Attacking an opponent who would not fight back was dishonorable, even for a crafty kitsune like Azise. Dissolving into small crystals of ice with her snowflake dryad ability, she flew along with the breeze, and finally re-materialized at a safer distance, in the area where Elyx had once been. Ignite was no longer present; where the familiar duo had gone, she would never know. But did it matter anymore?

The enemy was retreating. Navrick had won, right? The troops of the Magic Council were fleeing, and proving themselves to be the cowards she had always known them to be. They hid behind faces that supposedly held great power, all while using the guilds to do their dirty work; and even the dark guilds to a degree. Why did they have to play the game in the palm of their hand?

The fact annoyed the Ayakashi, who gazed with curious golden eyes at the bruised and bloody masses. How quickly it had all began, and all ended~

// Because Hero didn't post, I'm counting this as my post for the last turn, if that is alright? ^^; If it is not, someone please let me know.

    Clean Version:

    "The Rune Knights Will
    Return To Glory
    !"

It was clear Astrid had been captured, and the portals created left him with absolutely no way for him to help her out. With the light from his sword blinding those around him, Alexander reached into a pocket on his belt and grabbed a small lacrima that would teleport him to a safe area on the ship. He had planned to make sure others had gotten off the field, and maybe even fight off a few of the mages still charging, but he could see one person charging him even through the brilliant flash and knew he had to leave now or end up dying for a terrible cause. A squeeze of the lacrima would shatter the object, the leader of the Rune Knights disappearing just before the portal trap of Crimzon could box him. The combination attacks meant for him would hit thin air even as the man walked across the ship and gave the orders to return to Fiore.
