Description:
At first glance, the Eastern Raccoon Dog, or Tanuki, is just a simple animal. Neither raccoon, dog, or badger, it is a unique being in itself. Yet, the spirit of this creature goes deeper. Despite some only being average animals, there lurks a number of Bakedanuki, a type of Yōkai that is not to be underestimated by any means. They are cunning, clever, and powerful beings that are playful and jovial in nature, often delighting in making mischief or playing tricks on others. The Tanuki is a master of using magical deceptions, disguise, illusions, and transformations, topping even the abilities of the Kitsune, Neko, and other Yōkai. By nature, they are incredibly strong and fast, with a good amount of stamina and durability compared to humans or other mortal beings.
Like any Mononoke, they carry mysterious powers that perplex, and even manipulate, the mind. Izayuki's magic is used for her own support, and allows her to utilize her inborn Ayakashi abilities.
Strengths:

Weaknesses:
♦ Most of the mystic requires OOC permission to be used on PCs.
♦ The magic in general does not aid the Mononoke in combat.
♦ When not used properly, the mystic can effect others in rather odd ways.

Description:
With the snap of her fingers, Izayuki is able to summon Familiar spirits on a whim. These spirits are like Yuurei in nature, and can take many various shapes and forms- typically those of animals. They can be given free will, or can be controlled by Izayuki as she pleases. When controlled, they can act as illusory distractions, who can deal no damage, but also cannot be killed except be spirit-destroying forces. Another use for them is to possess beings for their master. When possessed, a being will often take on the features of the Familiar. The Familiar can act as a link between Izayuki and the memories of the possessed being. Izayuki may also control a Familiar-possessed person; however, this requires OOC permission if used on a Player-controlled Character.
For use within her guild, Izayuki can utilize these Familiar Spirits and have them possess someone. From there, she can have the familiar feed on any memories the Bakedanuki wants erased. This process is typically painless, unless the victim resists against the Familiar. Naturally, this requires OOC permission to use on PCs.
Strengths:
♦ Familiars can be summoned and used, mostly for aesthetics and cuddling.
Weaknesses:
♦ These Familiars deal no damage, and are not useful in combat.
♦ Familiars can be extinguished by spirit-destroying magic.

Description:
Anything that is unexplained, in many cultures, leads minds to develop great fantasies and mythologies to explain natural events around them. Youkai are formed from such stories, and anything unexplained falls into the category with their namesake. At the same time, however, they are often paired with demons and lumped together in that bracket, namely, the more malevolent ones. Despite this, some Youkai, good or bad, managed to learn the ability to form contracts and bonds with mortals and with each other. The types of bonds Izayuki learned to form were not as harsh as some of the others created by 'demonic' Youkai. Her first is simple, and preferred, it plainly being her entrusting the contractee with a unique, perfect leaf that will never wilt. She only bestows the unique Tsukumogami, the leafs, upon those she cherishes and trusts. The leaf can be used to summon her to the user at any point in time, so long as they keep the leaf on them at all times.
The other type of contract is a blood contract- a reflection of the malevolent character of some sorts of Youkai. To be obtained, blood from both the Youkai and the contractee must be shed, and consumed by the other party. The leaf created from this bond is black in color, and while it can be used to summon Izayuki, it also has properties that allow it to control her; forcing her to do the contractor's bidding. In return, based on the gravity of the orders, the Ayakashi will have a turn in either delivering reward or punishment to their contractor.
Strengths:

Weaknesses:
♦ The Blood Contract can easily be forced on Izayuki, unlike the normal one.
♦ Izayuki cannot summon her contractors... only they can summon her. Except in Soviet Russia.

Mind Control
Description:
As an Ayakashi, Izayuki can enter the mind or dreams of others, either completely in spirit, or just with a projection of herself. This can either be done subtly, without the knowledge of the target, or with knowledge. The attempt is instant, and once 'in', it continues until the tanuki has finished her business. Using this spell, she has the ability to quietly communicate with people in their mind or dreams, or the ability to sway their mind and exert her influence and control. With this, she may obtain knowledge of past memories that have been written. That, or read direct IC thoughts, which requires OOC permission.
Strengths:
♦ Versatile and good for spying.
Weaknesses:
♦ Most use, at least, requires OOC permission.
♦ Stronger soul-magic users might be unable to be possessed or read.

Description:
A Tanuki with skilled transformation can not only change their own shape, but the shapes of others. Oftentimes they can only transform others based on what the Tanuki wishes them to be- another human form, or the form of some animal, creature, or item. On occasions, stronger beings may be able to have some say in a family or specific species to transform to.
Strengths:
♦ Poof! You're not you anymore!
Weaknesses:
♦ This does not aid in combat, as anyone turned into anything still retains all their magic, buffs, and even equipment.
♦ Players get to pick OOC what animal their character becomes.

Luck
Description:
The Tanuki is a creature that is known to bring fortune, wealth, health, prosperity, and happiness to those around it. However, this luck is conditional, as it is only granted to those who who treat the Tanuki well. For those who do so, they are rewarded with a supernatural type of luck that cannot be explained; everything goes well for them. However, for those who do not treat the Tanuki well, they are cursed with misfortune, poverty, illness, and strife. These unlucky individuals will experience the most traumatic instants of bad luck and ill fortune in the moments following their treatment of the Tanuki. This may only be reverse by a plea of guilt, and forgiveness granted by the offended Tanuki. Naturally, this entire spell is for plot purposes only, and requires OOC permission to be granted before it can be used on PCs.

Weaknesses:
♦ Misfortune befalls those who are naughty!
♦ OOC Permission is needed for this to be used on the characters of other players.
