Neyvahn wanted to attack Lucius, finish him off so he couldn't hurt Rei anymore... but the being in front of him wasn't Lucius. It spoke to him with a calm tone, the opposite of Lucius just a few seconds ago. Its words chilled him to the core, shocked his spine, and made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. It felt like his body was about to be struck by lightning. His senses told him to do something, told him to run, told him to fight. Neyvahn didn't, because he knew that this wasn't Lucius... it was something much worse.
It seemed to toy with Lucius a little bit before it left his body, the dangerous aura dissipating. There was nothing he could do about that right now. As soon as the entity left, Neyvahn turned on his heel and sprinted to Rei. The pool of blood around her was immensely large, and her skin was ghostly white. However, there was a very weak thump in her chest... her heart was still alive, but barely.
"Rei!" the three voices shouted. Neyvahn's body returned to normal, his eyes shifting back from gold to blue as he knelt down next to Rei. "Just hang on, Rei, you'll be okay!" he hopelessly cried as he redirected his magic to her bleeding stump. He could stop the bleeding by sealing the gash, but Rei had already lost too much blood. Within the next minute, she would die of blood loss.
Neyvahn successfully closed her wound, but he didn't know what to do next. Her blood was seeping into the concrete. If he tried to put it back into her body, then she would become contaminated... Ney would only be delaying the inevitable. "It's okay," he sobbed quietly, holding Rei in his arms. "It's okay..."
He didn't know what to do. Rei had lost too much blood, and she didn't have any regeneration factors... like he did. Neyvahn gasped. There was one thing he could try.
Neyvahn gently laid Rei back down on the pavement before proceeding to bite into his arm. He winced at the pain, but proceeded to suck as much blood out as he could. Once he filled his mouth with the semi-bitter substance, he leaned over Rei and punctured her neck, injecting his own blood into her blood stream. He could only hope that her body accepted it, and integrated the regenerating energy into her body.
Neyvahn released his fangs from Rei's neck, sealing the wound once again with his magic. He leaned back and held Rei's head in his lap, whispering...
