Sanctuary is a city built atop an enormous Tortoise. The 4 mile diameter city itself seems to resemble a more technology oriented atmosphere consisting of sky scrappers and other large buildings. Holding no known affiliations to any legal guild, the Rune Knights are not present in this constantly moving city. However, a military presence lingers in this city under the command of an unknown entity. These units use ballistic firearms and armour, as well as technology based mobility suits to fight due to the fact that Caster Type magic is 100% disabled by technology. Holder type magic is 50% weaker in this city.

Those who wish to have a meeting with the head of the city must head to the LGC building and make a request in person. The LGC building is impossible to miss, being the largest building in the entire city with massive reflective solar panels on the flat side of it. The image featured on the left is located in the very center of the city, but is surrounded by skyscrapers so it's hard to see from the sides.

Citizens of Sanctuary are all individuals to hate the Magic Council, either because of things done to them personally, or thins done to people they care about. These are the children of the apocalypse, as they call themselves, and all refuse to live within the confines of a council-protected city. However, these people are mostly accepting of Legal mages within the borders of the city. Some of them, as should be expected, show anger towards legal mages and often call them 'Pawn' instead of their real name, but this is a small portion of the population and are also normally those impacted by the MC harder than others. All shows of aggression from citizens or non-citizens are dealt with swiftly by the Sanctuary Defense Force, or any one of the automated turrets located throughout the city.

The Sanctuary Defense Force acts as the guardians of the population. No member of the SDF is overweight, all being held to a strict dietary regiment and highly regulated work out routine. SDF members are all exposed to small, non-lethal doses of the worst diseases, poisons, venom, and toxic substances to aid them in building an immunity to them. This immunity may not allow them to bathe in those substances, it's still better than the average human's... Weapons among these units range from high caliber pistols to assault rifles, but even among the SDF there are those trained to use 50mm Anti-Magic Snipers and other high-damage ballistic weapons.

While many would think that elite members of society would be uptight, unforgiving, and snobby; members of the SDF are normally quite tolerant and go through regular screening to ensure mental stability. When dealing with unarmed, non-magical targets the SDF aim for non-lethal areas, normally using paralytic rounds to deal minimal damage while still bringing down said target(s). If the target is magical, the rounds used are enhanced with a special coating that causes the rapid depletion of ethernano, normally bringing down weak mages in a matter of seconds. Higher tier mages can last a minute at best once shot with these rounds, but all inevitably fall. However, the SDF are all trained to understand what MDS feels like by means of experiencing it first hand, so all members are resolved to opening fire unless the mage(s) are unwilling to cooperate.

Made up almost entirely of former Magic Council experiments, the Hell's Gate Soldiers (the military) is an atmosphere consisting of workout routines that would leave the SDF as a pile of broken bones, and freaks of nature. Most of the members no longer consider themselves human, the only organic component in them being a brain. Blood is replaced by a type of synthetic fluid housing nano-tech, muscles replaced with synthetic weave, bones replaced with a material that's lighter and harder than carbon fiber, organs replaced with synthetic variants that never deteriorate, and skin replaced with a material that's non corrosive and can take a tank shell like it were a paper ball while still being able to flex like normal flesh.

These individuals, both male and female, normally all have emotional scars. Such is a result of being an experiment for the Magic Council, and all of them show absolute loyalty to the one who runs the city, since it was that mysterious figure who put a stop to the experiments one corpse at a time. Naturally with that scarring, members of the HGS tend to separate themselves from the rest of society. The only true humans they interact with are the few members of the HGS that are trained to maintain the synthetic components. Humans have doctors, machines have engineers, Hell has demons. Which is exactly what the members of HGS call themselves. While they call themselves demons, members of the HGS seem to be more human than actual humans, often times being far gentler than humans.

"Demons" are almost all 7 feet tall or taller. They can lift 10,000 kilograms just as easily as a body builder could lift a feather, run at 50mph, and all use weapons that are massive. The standard issue pistol is a 0.905 Caliber, semi-automatic pistol with 10 rounds in a single clip. For those wondering how large that bullet is, click here. These soldiers normally operate in teams of 5, and are very well educated in just about all areas. One member of all teams is a type of medic who knows all the main languages of earthland, and sometimes one or two lost languages they picked up for funsies. These individuals are known as "Honorary Demons" as they're those normal humans that the demons have managed to force themselves to talk with.

The VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) Aircraft is the primary form of air to air, or air to ground weapon used within Sanctuary. Being only ten meters wide, and eight meters long, the AI controlled aircraft is capable to maneuvering inside the city with relative ease. A cloaking system onboard the VTOL allows for enhanced stealth as they create fields of distorted light. While the cloak isn't perfect and is easier to notice at close range, it's very good at longer ranges which makes approaching targets considerably easier. Each VTOL is armed with a pair of machine guns on the front and a pair of missile launchers on the wings that house 6 missiles each.

The smell of fresh made food radiates for several hundred feet from this one cafe in Sanctuary, Cafe Paradox, and upon entry the sound of gentle music being played would be heard. The chiming of a small bell placed over the door is followed by 17 girls and 3 boys all saying "Welcome Master!" Each and every one of them having an animalistic trait to them, and if you were to touch it you'd find out that these parts of their bodies aren't just cheap props... Almost all the girls and guys will let you touch their ears, horns, tails, or scales depending on which ones they have. Each of the workers here have a personality that can be described as one of the following:

Outgoing: Super friendly individuals who have no problems at all with you touching their ears or tail. These people normally like being petted, but would only let you pet them for extended periods when there's nothing that needs their attention.
Timid: Extremely withdrawn, these types normally speak in a very soft, almost inaudible tone and apologize very frequently. They won't let you touch them at all due to how shy they are.
Aloof: A very respectful person who speaks with a monotone voice, they're completely oblivious to any and all jokes, sarcastic remarks, and attempts at hitting on them.
Friendly: Respectful, warm individuals who offer humor alongside excellent service.
Energetic: Extremely happy, always upbeat, always moving around but unlike outgoing people these types will let you pet them for hours even if they're needed. They're a bit clueless but normally get back to work once Nadine gives them a firm look.
Leader: Nadine, she's the one who acts as a floor manager but she helps the others do their work since the joint is normally super busy.
