- The name "Corliss", meaning care-less, becomes her. Corliss Aelle, a whirlwind in her own right, can be described as nothing short of risky. Living every day as though it were her last, which with her decisions might be, she runs through her life seeking the thrill of adventure and danger. Raised in a strict home, she decided that once she was free of that house, she would never live in such a boring fashion again, choosing instead to live on reckless side of life. Regardless of what happens to her, it'll at least make for a good story, which is why she seeks out public places and witnesses for her behavior. She flirts with everyone she can bat her eyes at, makes jokes at potentially inappropriate times, and has an attitude of "if you don't like it, leave it" towards every aspect of her life, from her taste in food to taste in friends. She tends to go with whatever is more elaborate, shiny, or otherwise aesthetically pleasing, though she doesn't realize that there is a pattern to her madness. She doesn't mind company, so long as they don't try to change her or act stupid or snobby around her. Making most of her choices on impulse, she takes pride in being called a wildcard, regardless of whether it was meant as a compliment or not. She falls in love easily, and can fall out of love just as fast if she lacks desire or a reason to stay. She is just as flighty in terms of friends, and it takes significant patience and trust to keep her around. She doesn't trust easily, and tends to push people away more than bring them close to her, but she truly cares about the people around her, even when she accidentally puts everyone at risk. Most people assume that, because of her finicky nature, she can't commit to things easily, which is true, but once she commits to something she will defend it with her life. She also has a soft spot for anything cute and fluffy, though she will never admit that to anyone.
- In Battle:
- In battle, she is equally as unpredictable as any other time in her life. Only fighting with people she trusts, she flips between mercy and merciless at random. The only thing predictable about her fighting style is how she tries to toy with her opponents, regardless of who is actually winning. When fighting monsters, she makes up banter from them, reminiscent of how one would talk to a pet, which can be disturbing on the battlefield. She doesn't make for a very good leader, as she changes gears so rapidly that no subordinate would be able to keep up, though Corliss adamantly denies this fact. She also doesn't do well taking orders, as she often prefers to do whatever she wants, which may or may not follow the rules. Again, she furiously denies the truth in the statement, though she avoids leading or being directly under someone to the best of her ability.
- Banter- any sort of witty and humorous conversation is music to her ears.
- Red Roses- These are her favorite flower.
- Music- any genre and style appeals to Corliss.
Dislikes:
- Snobs- anyone with an attitude resembling arrogance gets on her nerves.
- Babies- anyone younger than five, or anyone acting that age, disgusts her.
- Caves- She despises any enclosed, dark, damp, and earthly location.
Motivations:
- Adventure- Corliss seeks anything that starts her heart racing- good, evil, or otherwise.
- Romance- She's a sucker for a happy ending involving riding off into the sunset with her soulmate, whoever that may be.
- Experience- when she is old and frail, she wants as many stories as possible to tell.
Fears:
- Traps- being stuck, by either a physical snare or social convention, is her worst fear.
- Loneliness- not being surrounded by people she cares about terrifies her, despite knowing that some stories are best told alone.
- Wasting Time-Spending all her time doing things she hates or things that are dull, and winding up dying without ever living in the first place.
