Its one of those nights again, only on the nights of the full moon, specifically the grounds is a catalyst in itself that invokes the spirit of one of the most powerful Dullahan of the front, Cruach the messenger who dwells in the pass that divides the two kingdoms.

I can feel him here, I not only the captain of the guard who leads the defense of Savage Skull, I'm also Azeron's undertaker. The numerous undertakers we hired to bury corpses either got arrested or got killed of themselves, which leaves me to fill in the role of corpse disposal. There is just one thing that I fear, should Cruach run amok, it will spell trouble for us all, I know this is something the higher-ups might be able to handle but playing with death is not a game to be taken lightly.

I know... I've been through that game a lot of times before coming to savage skull. Not even a single soul would understand nor have the chance to experience decades of war. Its not a joke and if the tyrants make light of it just because they wield the power to triumph over their foes, then they are nothing more... than actual targets I'm supposed to put to rest.

Still I cannot go back on my word serving the crawfords, until they get their wish, I shall not betray savage skull till my contract is complete.

He is strong here... its.. screaming...

    Blight LAPIS_LOT

    Job Description:

You see we decided to hire a few people from the village to investigate the cemetery but they were all too scared to even come close to it during the midnight. I know my brother wouldn't lie, he cannot lie to us and as a matter of fact his honesty true that it got him to trouble most of the time, especially when trying to keep secrets and its a sickness itself.

What he did saw was a man with a carriage piling up a number of corpses and burying them in the cemetery. You see we can't even confirm whether its our undertaker or not, nobody has seen our undertaker since almost two years ago and we usually bury the townsfolk in our new graveyard.

You have to help us, we need to know what it is and if you think it will prove to be a problem to the village, get rid of it. T___T We'll reward you when we can.

Mashyuu skimmed the note of the job he was taking and grumbled under his breath. He hated dealing with graveyards. Mostly because spirits were not normally harmed by his spells but he had ended up developing a few that did hurt them and his mothers jacket seemed to effect those that physical attacks had not effect against.

Knowing Rocky would be of little help at this point he left his friend back at the Sabertooth guild hall and headed out to this graveyard. The sun had set and midnight was just rolling around by the time Mashyuu actually arrived. His light blue eyes scanned the area looking for anyone who would be crazy enough to dig and bury bodies at night. Even a light at this point would be enough for the Earth Dragon Slayer of Sabertooth to work with but so far he saw nothing. Mashyuu grumbled to himself and dropped to a knee to tie his black high top tennis shoes then smoothed out his brown jacket and blue jeans before continuing on through the graveyard. The place was giving him the chills and the Slayer didn't like it. At least it was better than taking a train or jet somewhere.

After some thirty minutes Mashyuu found a bench under a tree and sat down. "What a bust, there is nothing happening here. I can't even make something up and collect the reward it just wouldn't be right...." He said to himself and reached down for a loose rock. Swiftly he ate the stone like a small apple and his nose flared up. He could smell something that wasn't there a few moments before. He stepped away from the bench and took a readied stance, not sure what he should be expecting.

It pleases him whenever I carry the corpses of those who were victims of the Azeron’s activities. We’d usually keep these corpses in the crypts. That’s the thing, most of the undertakers sent down to dispose of the corpses in the crypts have disappeared, either because they were killed by the denizens of the Lichborne or were lost in its labyrinth never to return again. Its because of this that the guild decided to have it as a place, an ultimate challenge whether or not we’d survive in the dread of darkness and in the presence of the slumbering lich.

It was deemed as one of the most dangerous trials of all and many were lucky to have not died off.

It was horrifying, the crypts was like a subterranean world of tombstones, rooms filled with corpses, rooms that were believed to hold requiem masses, libraries haunted by evil spirits and the dreaded malefic illusions that gives victims neurotically breakdowns and eventually succumb to the eternal darkness. Going into that labyrinth is a nightmare and the only way to escape is by resurfacing back to the floors Savage Skull Gild members had explored and secured so far.  When I entered the dark caverns, I can just feel Cruach…

    …smile.

I rode on with a cart full of corpses raped up in dirty old cloaks and sacks meant to cover up the pale remains of the victims of the Azeron alliance. I pray that their souls find peace… it’s nothing personal between me and the souls who have died, bear not grudge against me for they shall not be offered to the  caverns as sacrifices for the lich, instead they will be buried here or rather I prefer them to be buried here.  It’s better than having their souls being consumed by the fearsome calamity.

I’m scared, scared of doing harm that I have not intended, the very least my appearance was concealed by black mist; I wore my usual attire which is a formal suit that one give the impression of an agent. The villagers were right to fear me and avoid me at this time of night, cause once it starts I don’t know how long can I be in control.

I can sense it.. the spirits are starting to wail as I enter the cemetery. My vision blurs much like static on a screen with only the color of monochrome to greet my sight. My vision warps and soon afterwards restores to its natural state. At the very least I must make haste with my work and be on my way, if the spirits and souls with dare awaken and dance, Cruach will… arrive.

The cart comes to a complete stop, I dismount the carriage and one by one I drop the corpses. Today there were about six in total and I must take care of all of them.. put them to rest..

    Rest….

    !!!!!

I dug an amount of graves beforehand knowing this would happen, I’m glad I did so and it makes the job easier. As I started to bury the first corpse, something in the mist stirred, it appears to be the presence of another magus, seems like the townsfolk has decided to hire a mage to investigate. No… they must not come any closer and I pray the malefic illusions of the violent spirits will ward them off long enough for me to finish the job.

    !!!!!

Tch.. I’m running out of time.

Even if they were to approach, they cannot tell who I am, identify what I am or see what I am despite having them felt my presence. I pray they run into confusion with the spirits that have just recently awakened.  He might come before I’m done with the job…. I… I…

Mashyuu’s sense of smell can never fail him. The stench of what belonged to be one… two or more bodies, corpses perhaps? He wasn’t so sure until he confirms it. Right as of now, the attempt to head towards the direction of the smell was but unpleasant, as he was greeted by malefic visions of a figure walking right pass at him.

It was a Black Knight that passed right at him, or at least it was what the vision showed him.

The next vision was the impalement of a woman with torn clothes and the beheading of children.  These malefic illusions attacked him but little did Mashyuu knew that they were memories of those that had died horrific deaths and of course most weren’t all because of the Azeron alliance, there were many groups and syndicates capable of performing such brutal and merciless forms of executions. If one were to spend their time experiencing these images, they’d go insane unless of course you’re conscious enough to see through them. Should Mashyuu continue to go on, he’d make up a figure of a man burying corpses and it looked like he was on fire? As he stepped closer it was but a strange man in black mist burying corpses.

Words riddled in mashyuu’s head, spirits telling him.

    go back….

    ….go back….

    GO BACK…

    DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!
