Melodic Dual Duel (Elyx vs Vincent) [DUEL]

Elyx and the She Phoenix, Ignite, were both standing out in the middle of the glass arena, this was the place where people can honestly fight in fun duels, these arenas have been heavily guarded and each fight is looked over carefully. The boy smiled as he placed his Violin up, there were only so few chances that he gets in order to do this. Is this the only place that they boy could duel for fun? That seemed to be the case, many people took so much time in making these places as safe and friendly as possible, no deaths or suffering allowed. The boy smiled as he looked at his Violin, then looked back up once again before he began to wait for another person to enter the dome. The dome had a glass floor with a foam on the walls so the impact was not so devastating, the only real damage can be done by the wizards. Elyx had no intention of going too roughly, after all, some wizards come here to test out their magics, so why should he ruin it. According to the place, pets can fight if their opponents agree to it, so that is why Elyx brought Ignite here with him, just in case someone wanted for the violinist to fight alongside her. The boy put his blades in their sheathes, choosing to use magic first rather than blades. Hopefully his results would not be with a Non-Wizard, then he was forced to use his swords.

Vincent entered the arena from the far side with his head down and his hands in his pockets. On his face was the look of a man who had something to do but wanted little to do with it. The duel he had decided to take part in today was something he had to do, he had to start somewhere. But at the same time it seemed so pointless. What happened in the arena here today would not fix his problems. He only participated for survival. Vincent was unarmed and unaccompanied compared to his opponent who seemed very well equipped he seem under prepared for the battle. Stopping just barely within the ring he said "A glass floor. Of all the curiosities. I hope it doesn't break on us." Vincent knew well and good he didn't have the means to break the glass and considering the arena had been the choice of his opponent he figured the man before him could fight without breaking it as well. That or his fighting involved breaking glass. In the end it was what it was and Vincent was apathetic about it, he only awaited the starting gun.

Can I partake in this fight as well? Ignite asked with hope to join this fight, the target of the person she wanted to ask this question to was the man who just entered the arena, clearly ignoring what he had just said. Elyx placed his hand to his face and almost smashed his nose in the process, it was embarrassing to be standing next to her as of right now. Ignite, I don't think that is that biggest of our concerns right now. Elyx said before putting his Violion up. I am a Wind Wizard, I promise to prevent any broken glass from hitting us. Besides, this seems to be Fiber glass, almost like plastic. The boy explained before he played the Violin slowly to cast out his first spell. The boy began to string through the violin as he was going to use a Wind-Make Awakened spell. The air around them began to spin around the boy with gentle breezes, but enough to send other magic spells flying again from him. Fire and Earth now would have a problem, water always had a problem with wind, the boy was now ready for combat against this man who came in. He seemed to shwo more of a promising fight than most enemies he encounter on jobs, maybe Elyx might actually lose this battle. That would be nice, to meet someone as strong as himself. All right! I'm ready when you are!

Vincent shrugged "Fight however you wish." Without any further words he sprinted forward throwing his arms wide and curling his hands into fists, "I went through a bit of trouble to get here for this fight so you had better not disappoint." The odd thing was Vincent showed no signs of superhuman physical ability and he didn't appear to be about to cast a spell. He was charging in with the apparent desire to slug it out without augmenting himself with magic in any way.

Ignite jumped into the air happily she then put out her palm, charging a ball of fire in between her palms. The She Phoenix loved to battle, and Elyx could not help by smile as she was accepted into this fight. All right! Prepare yourself! Ignite exclaimed as she then shot the ball of fire with her hands put out as if a Haduken arose from there. It was a simple spell, probably not worth the time. The fireball was up front in the site of the opponent, it's not going to serve to be effective. The damage may be worth something, but at it's speed and approach. Elyx's second spell was Wind Lerale Boost: Stealth Claws. His clothing will changed to a Black T-Shirt covered by a short-sleeved white jacket. The Pants will be demin blue jeans with two holes on the knees. The user shoes will be black with a white streak running through the sides of each shoe. The eye color will changed to a Light Grey color as well. The boy was floating above the ground, and soon, with his speed boosts, he zipped back towards the opponent. He quickly charged back towards the man with his claws outstretched. He aimed forward like Ignite fireball as well, aiming his claws to the stomach.

Vincent could see nothing but pain in his future. But that was fine. He had completed his objective. He barely had time to shield his face with his arms when the fire ball bit sending him reeling backwards leaving him unable to defend himself as Elyx's claws slashes across his stomach. With a cry he collapsed onto his rear end clutching his now bleeding stomach. Then he was smiling, his teeth grinded together in pain but he was smiling. After a moment he rose to his feet revealing the slash wound had been apparently burned shut "That hurt like hell but was worth it. I've finally got some power again. Blue Magic: Wind Lerale Boost: Stealth Claws!" Vincent's attire suddenly transformed to match that of Elyx, and claws of wind formed around his hands. He laughed a little looking at his new found power "But I can't beat you just being a copy-cat. I'll have to add my own twist and by my own twist I mean hers. Blue Magic: Fire Control!" The claws themselves caught fire as Vincent augmented them with the Demiphoenix's fire abilities.

Finally ready to fight Vincent flew at Elyx throwing his arms wide like before, except this time he had magic. Using speed that matched Elyx's he closed the little distance and swung his claws inward trying to slash Elyx across the chest with both hands. To be attacked with one's own spell, oh the irony. But Vincent understood he was a one tricked walrus if he couldn't finish this fight before the spell expired he would be in trouble.

He can use Lerale Magic... How!? He doesn't have an instrument! Elyx exclaimed before the Wind-Make Awakened spell was then cut off, at the wrong time as well. whatever the case, he knew that he did not have much time with Stealth claws. Fire and Wind together can cause chaos, this opponent was Elyx and Ignite mixed together, what's worse? Stalth Claws lasted for quite a while. When the two of them locked in combat, they would have both been eve if it were not fire used in his magic, but fire added power behind Elyx's opponents attacks, and eventually, the boy was cut off guard and a chest scratch was obtained, causing the boy to jump back and force his magic to hold his body above the ground. Elyx spun himself back up onto his feet, only to see a little bit of help on the way.

You forgot about me! Ignite exclaimed, the time she was given to charge up her next fire attack. She raised her hand in the air to cast out the spell, which they caused a pillar of fire from above to shoot above the enemy. She was doing this from behind, and if he moved forward, he might be able to lock in combat with Elyx again, but he should probably keep his eye on Ignite as well.

While sure Vincent would love to stop and gloat over and explain the power of his magic he had slightly better things to do then that. Also bigger things to worry about, like the approaching pillar of fire. With his enhanced speed and reaction time he flew out of the path of the fire pillar, just barely avoiding getting severely burned. It was becoming apparent to Vincent that simply having the magic of both of his foes wouldn't compensate being at a numbers disadvantage. He was just grateful they didn't have conflicting elements or the absorbed magics would blow up inside of him.

In an attempt to turn their team work against them as soon as he dodged the fire pillar Vincent added his own fire power to it, doubling it's potency, then with a bit of effort altered its path just enough so that Elyx was in its path. But Vincent knew a thing or too about fighting with copied powers. If he could dodge the pillar using the speed he stole from Elyx then so could Elyx. So still putting little focus on Ignite; Vincent would charge after the pillar looking to slash at Elyx however he dodged. Sure the pillar was now more powerful and the element of surprise was likely added to the pot he wasn't expecting the fire to connect.

The speed gvien to the enemy was just insane, even for Elyx to deal with his own speed and awareness, it was not something he would expect anyone of his level of doing. To master the spell as well, Elyx had to give this man a lot of credit for learning so much about it. However, there was one thing that the man did not have Leviathan Iris. Leviathan Iris used it's Keepers Safekeep ability, and when the pillar of fire was about to hit the boy, the barrier of light surrounded the boy, and his body began to heal from the previous giant slash he received before. Ahhhh... Elyx said as the fire was being sent over the barrier, though it did begin to crack the first ability provided the boy healing as well, keeping him from keeping his health barely above average. Once them impact was made, Elyx was back with the bubble around him, the barrier not broken, but it was about to be.

That was amazing! But I'm not just done yet! Elyx exclaimed as he leaped forward towards the enemy once again. Ignite backed him up by shooting a half circle of fire behind the man quickly. Elyx attacking from the front, both sides and behind him. Still though, this was stealth claws with fire he was dealing with, Elyx had best to be careful. The boy floated towards the man, planning to throw both of them through the wall of fire.

Vincent was distracted by the barrier of light and as such was unable to do anything about Ignite's flame wall. However even once he noticed it there was no time to get out of the way as Elyx attacked. Faced with the reality that defense was his only option Vincent countered Elyx's claw strikes with his own, he hoped his flaming claws would be able to over power those of Elyx. But this would not go to plan as his foe naturally knew the spell better then Vincent and as such possessed much greater skill with them. So which each strike Elyx delivered, despite blocking, Vincent found himself pushed back until his heels were to the wall of fire. He planned to make a desperate strike at Elyx in a last ditch attempt to turn the fight around but before he could do his claws suddenly dissipated and his clothing turned back to normal, "What!? You activated your spell first! Mine should have lasted longer even if only by a little bit!" Then Vincent's fallacy hit him and he smacked his forehead "It was the damn fire! It burned up the oxygen reducing the duration of the spell!"

Resigning himself to his fate he held his arms wide for Elyx to finish the battle. After all how could he have hoped to win with but one spell? But thus was the nature of blue magic, he had to start his collection somewhere. Maybe he could have desperately fought on using the Demiphoenix's fire and maybe somehow he could defeat Elyx with that but there was no way he was going to beat the girl with her own magic. He had nothing more to gain from prolonging the battle, so with that he just hoped his foe would end it quickly.
