Brute Force Liberating Slaves (Minh/Emilia)

Minh had no reason to doubt her logic with how she structured it, but he did see through the tone of which she used, seeing a touch of battlelust flowing through her even. However, Minh did not care for anything kinda taint or darkness she may have as long as it was directed against his foes and nothing else. Plus, she was not one to carelessly do harm if it did not benefit her, and Minh knew that he could count on that tendency to keep her from becoming some destructive force that he would have to rid of later on. As soon as his attentions were turned, a mass of slavers came out from their flank, seeking to cut them down like the rest had tried. They did so with much fervor until coming across the scene of slaughter with a pile of dead comrades sitting by the feet of the mages who had cut them down.

Only then did they stop themselves slowing down to a crawl as if taking in the reality of their attack's success against these two with Minh looking like some abomination. Cheepie, on the other hand, had devilish plans for the mass of slavers below him. With one swoop, the little avian creature surged down heading towards a set of massive metal storage shelves. He rammed into it, making a heavy dent in one of the shelves before throwing the whole construct and all of its heavy contents down onto the slavers below like an artillery barrage of projectiles.

Emilia stood by, flat-footed, simply waiting as the first group of slavers approached. "That's right, come on and fight us. We're tired by now, right Minh?" She laughed, her bloodlust not even masked. The slavers slowed as they viewed the rocky monk and the laughing warrior. She picked up Trauma now and readied herself. "You boys ready to do this, then? Come on! I haven't had enough fun yet today!" More maniacle chuckles came from her as she stood, waiting in anticipation for the cowards to approach her, only to have Cheepie knock down a set of shelves on them, sending a rain of crates and other large items on them. With shrieks and screams they were forced back, a few of them crushed or otherwise disabled by the falling plunder while the others fled the scene.

Emilia's face was one of disappointment as she watched the first group flee, a bullet whizzed in front of her face as the sound of a gunshot hit her eardrums. She turned to face the direction the shot had come from ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). "Getting a bit ahead of yourselves, ain't ya?" The group stood there a moment, stunned by her rather disturbing look and how little she seemed to care that she nearly had her brains blown out. She pointed to the toughest looking of the slavers. "First, you." She charged forward with disregard of the riflemen and the rookies armed with cutlasses, simply plowing through two of them in her dash for the more well-armed slaver.

He fired a jet of water at her that she ducked under before trying to slash at her with his cutlass. She easily blocked it before smashing him on the shoulder with Trauma. He staggered back and she pressed the attack, striking him again, breaking his collar bone before raising Trauma a third time. She didn't strike with the head, this time, though. No, instead she plunged the spiked handle down into the slaver's chest and let go, grabbing his cutlass from his hand before throwing it at one of the gunners, sending it through his chest. She grabbed Trauma and pulled it from the slaver's chest, charging at and smashing another rifleman.

Minh watched Emilia charged into the fray knocking aside slavers before taking out the elite slaver, and with her going so far deep into the fray to rid of the greatest threat, the monk had to serve as the much more greater threat to attract the mass of slavers off of her. He did this by stomping the ground with such power that shrapnel scattered around while unleashing a bellowing battle cry which had most of them turning their heads to then see Minh barreling down upon them. Many of those closest to Minh back off foolishly because Minh didn't stop until shoulder ramming one of the men flying past Emilia smashing into a shelf with his head visibly shattered apart.

The other near Minh were too slow as he lashed out with a straight right punch into the torso of a slaver with his guard dropped followed by an immediate left hook across his jaw. Minh quickly turned in wide arc while progressing further into the slavers with one rocky arm whipping out with such force that it threw multiple men back. This, however, gave the riflemen still standing a clear line of fire which they took immediate advantage of as a volley of shots rained upon Minh who stood there motionless as each shot crashed on him with an audible crack. The only thing seen on him from the volley were small cracks where the shells had hit him, and before the riflemen could respond, the male was already upon them with his arms throw more men about like a bulldozer.

Few of the riflemen remained after Emilia and Minh's initial assault. Those that did were now focused on the earthen mage. But more opponents were still present. Emilia stood idly as they surrounded her, a smile on her face. "Well... you've got me in a bit of a pickle now, haven't you?" She said with a rather disturbing smile on her face before she raised her weapon and shield. "Well go on, then. Show me what you've got." She called out to them, a grin on her face.

The slavers looked at each other for a moment before one ran at her from behind. Hearing his footsteps, Emi turned and deflected his cutlass with ease. She swung Trauma at his leg, bending his knee sideways with the impact, dropping the man with a howl of pain. She stomped on his arm as he landed on the ground, breaking the bones with ease. This man was out of the action. "All at once. One at a time is too easy."

There was a pause before the 7 remaining rookies all charged at her. "That's better." Emilia said as she detonated a Force Pulse once they were all within a relatively short range. They were scattered backwards to slam into nearby stacks of cargo or just go sliding along the floor. While they figured they could usually take on a mage of Emilia's power, they realized that she was different from most. Her martial focus, and her ability to seemingly shrug off what few attacks could pierce her plate armor meant that there really wasn't much they could do against her and the rock mage, who was made of freaking rocks. What could one do with a cutlass against a guy made of rocks?

Those still able to stand lay down their arms. Emilia grinned at them. "How disappointing." She said, before walking over to Minh once he was done having his fun. "Let me know when you're ready to take on the leaders. I'll bust the door open." There was a glint in her eye, not murderous but playful, pranksterish.

Minh looked up to Cheepie with a nod before looking back at Emilia who seemed ready to be moving on. "Well, we don't have anymore business here as it is with the remains of these men already waning and retreating, and along with the probability of any of them starting or rather spearheading another human trafficking operation. Speaking of which, we really need to ask if the further pursuit and destruction of the other operations overseas would provide us more of a reward. Though, with the end of this main one, it is going to be most likely that the whole thing will shatter. Forgive me, I am just very careful with these kinds of jobs as I like to uproot and burn the roots rather than just cutting off the body and being satisfied with that." He ended his thoughts with a solemn look at Emilia before grinning slightly as he proceeded to make his way before the entrance, waiting to be released inside to unleash hell.

Cheepie would take off during this time up to the rafters to provide a sorta cover for the two's rear, but it was still a bit unsettling to know that all standing between a possible counter ambush from the back was a small sparrow. Then again, not many people would see Cheepie the same after seeing him in action against their enemies, especially with the small creature leaving behind a trail of death. Though, it was not going to be anytime soon that these guys would come back to pull anything like that after suffering heavy losses.

Emilia shrugged at Minh's suggestion of seeing if they could get more reward for fighting slavers overseas. "I doubt it. It ain't inside Fiore's borders, so Fiore probably doesn't care. Besides, with transport costs and time, its probably better to stick with Fiore jobs for the most part." Answered, leaving out the part where she refused to travel by boat if at all possible for... reasons. Practical reasons, of course. Not at all because of fear of the ocean, no, just because she was completely unable to float and that meant traveling by sea left unnecessary danger. Also because she was scared shitless of the ocean, but no one needed to know that.

Back to the task at hand. "Right then. Let's do this." She said before moving in front of the door. She channeled force into the door, setting a trap for the next one who wasn't her to touch it. "Wait to charge in, I have a plan." She said before kicking the door down, quite literally. With a crash, the door came off its hinges and slammed down onto the ground. The captain and her first mate were there, waiting. Scarlet fired her pistols at Emilia, but the force mage had already moved out of the doorway, behind cover. Carver charged forward at his incredible speed, unaware of the trap that the door truly was. As he stepped on the door, the force spell within it detonated, propelling him upwards into the air where he couldn't control his movements. Needless to say, the glass cannon was easily defeated as he was propelled at his own 100 mile per hour speed into a stack of crates, impacting them with a dull thud and knocking them over. His body lie limp among them, his nose shattered and bleeding along with a large cut on his forehead. He was definitely down for the count, leaving only Scarlet.

"Right, one down, one to go, keep her alive." Emi said. "I'll take point!"

With that she stepped into the doorway and launched herself forward with Bullheaded, not giving Scarlet a chance to shoot as she slammed into her before the other woman could take proper aim, and sending her flying back into the wall. She was able to recover quickly, landing on her feet after hitting the wall. She took aim and fired at Emilia, the shot impacting her in the stomach, but not dealing too much damage, for the most part.

Minh watched as Emilia broke into the office first with a place clearly in mind if she had asked to stay, and before he heard a massive crash which could only be one of the two targets that they needed to put down before being able to move on with this job and get the rewards that have been hard earned so far. When she had spoke, Minh made his way inside with quick and loud, thudding stomps to find what seemed to be the first mate face first in a pile of crates. Satisfied with how this was going, he knew that taking out these leaders would be a clear sweep. The remaining leader was a female, who had to be the captain of this while operation, and seeing that she had expended some of her ammunition on Emilia, knew that it would be best to dis arm her before she would do anything too hasty with the firearms. What they read about Scarlet was that she was ruthless towards police and authorities of the sort with a passion, and she'd take her own life over being face with a court. Minh did not care if she did kill herself or not, but the increased rewards were probably worth the effort of keeping her alive rather letting her off herself.

With that in mind, Minh made a quick and steady approach towards her before having her fire off more rounds in his direct that hit with a cracking sound. However, what she didn't expect was his next move as he executed his Step, crossing the small gap between them with each ease before engaging in a grapple in which he took hold of both her arms with a sudden motion with her in a small panic. Minh then threw his head forward to give her a nasty headbutt right on the forehead to daze her if not knock out.

Minh's grapple wasn't nearly enough to disarm the woman, it seemed, as she kept an iron grip on her pistols, despite being unable to move her arms fully. "I'll die before you get me in the noose." She growled, trying to aim her gun at her own head. Emilia grinned at the woman, walking up to her casually and smashing the weapons out of her hands with Trauma. "You won't have to worry about that, then." Emilia shot back. After all, she and Minh were just the bounty hunters, not the executioners. Scarlet scowled at her Emilia, who continued to smile right back, not at all afraid of the woman who had just shot her. "Don't be so mad, it's all in the business. You get into business like yours, you run the risk of doin' the hempen jig. Go into business like mine, you risk getting shot by people in the business like yours." Now then, it was time to secure their prisoners. Emi was honestly surprised Scarlet was still conscious after Minh's headbutt, nevertheless, she finished the woman off with a nice haymaker to the jaw of the restrained woman. "Tie 'er up and take 'er back to town. I'll get the first mate." She said before walking off and picking up the first mate. She took his keys and unlocked one of the slave cages, took the shackles off of two of the slaves and used them to bind the first mate, then tossed the next set to Minh. She dropped the keys in front of the now free slaves. "Go free the others." She ordered with a rather bored tone of voice. "Come on Minh, let's get our cash." She said, walking off out of the warehouse.

Minh picks up the first mate before forming earthen bindings to immobilize the captain as she is still left unconscious, and he would sling her onto his shoulder as well to keep her close. He'd be accompanied by Cheepie as the two of them exit the area to follow alongside Emilia who seemed incredibly intent with the result of this whole endeavor.. He also made sure that the remaining captured girls make their way out as well as freeing all of the rest, and while he did want to stay and make sure all was well, he was on a job with the return of these two criminals being his main and most important objective to complete. The two legal mages make their way off the harbor, making their way back to the nearest Rune Knight station to drop off the two before acquiring their award. The men present there were not so welcoming to them for their service, giving both mages looks of extreme content for their direction of work. Apparently, their bloody romp through the slavers' domain had reached the station, and while their rewards were to be granted, their 'work habits' did not earn them much respect from the more lawful types who saw their direct and brutal tactics as bad as the criminals they were sent to subdue and capture. But, Minh didn't have much of a care for morality when doing a job like this, and in the event of pursuing a goal of dire importance, nothing should stop one from achieving it.
