Afternoon Freakout! [Job- Alito and Chaos]

The carriage came to a halt. Although they were in a hurry, there was no quick way across Fiore. Alito only hoped they had come in time to save the village from another attack. Alito looked out to the landscape, to see a simple village they stopped in. The driver turned around.

"Alright. Here's where we stop. If you Wizards succeed, there'll be no need to pay me." He stopped for a moment. "Just please. Get back safe."

Alito had come to like the man, talking with him the whole way. His companion, another wizard from Lamia Scale had been quiet most of the trip, but the driver kept Alito company. The man had no family, and drove people around for a living. He hadn't been attacked by bandits yet, but he guessed that's because he only carried people, not cargo. Alito felt sorry for the man, but the driver seemed happy with his existence. He was awfully cute too, not that Alito took special notice or anything.

Alito had explained to the man when they rented his services the dire situation they were addressing, saving Oak Town from attacking wizards. The driver seemed happy to help, and applauded the two men's courage to go out and fight. They had stopped for lunch shortly before they arrived at Oak Village, and the man covered both Alito and Chaos' meal. He was truly generous, indeed.

Alito jumped down from the carriage, glad to finally be able to stand fully upright.

"Thank you good sir! Chaos, are you coming? A Super-Heavy Champion never keeps a client waiting!" Alito let the sun hit his face. The warmth felt good, and he was prepared for whatever came next. He motioned Chaos to follow, and set forth to the town square, where the client said they would be waiting.

Chaos was quiet most of the trip because upon hearing about the man's tragic past with his family, he began thinking of his own family. "Seems rough" Chaos finally said. The man then explained.
"It's not all bad, I haven't been attacked by any bandits yet." The man smiled. Chaos smiled as well.

They had stopped for lunch, the man said that he would cover it, he was confident that we would succeed on our mission, Chaos wanted to make sure that his hope wasn't going to be scattered. The meal was pretty good, although Chaos was sad upon finding out there was no ice cream for dessert.

When the time came for them to leave the carriage, they both jumped out and Chaos stetched. The sun was shining and Chaos was excited for this job. "Thank you good sir! Chaos, are you coming? A Super-Heavy Champion never keeps a client waiting!"
"Yep...uh 'Super-Heavy Champion'? Well that's gonna be put to the test in this job I guess." Chaos couldn't help but smile at his strange title. They began making their way to town square where the client said he would be waiting. When they arrived they noticed that he wasn't there. "Where is he? He's supposed to be here right?" Chaos was confused. Although, after a few minutes, the client finally arrived, but he appeared to be wounded.
"What happened to you?" Chaos was concerned.
I-It's the work of him, that mind wizard. I couldn't tell who hit me, I was lucky to make it out alive. Please...help..." The man was catching his breath, they were shocked by this.

"Yep...uh 'Super-Heavy Champion'? Well that's gonna be put to the test in this job I guess."

Alito liked how Chaos responded to his Super-Heavy Champion statements. It was something he learned in his Dojo, and saying them gave him resolution to complete his tasks. He was glad it hadn't rubbed off on Chaos wrong. They passed through the town, which was still populated, for an area that had been under attack. He wondered why the people were still out and about, instead of running or hiding in case of another attack.

Chaos and him continued into the town, and made it to the town square. Alito looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of the man in the sparse crowd.

"Where is he? He's supposed to be here right?"
"I don't see him, Chaos. Maybe it would be best to wait here for him?"

After a few more minutes, a man limped towards them. He had a ban burn on his arm, and appeared pretty hurt.

"What happened to you?" Chaos was concerned.

I-It's the work of him, that mind wizard. I couldn't tell who hit me, I was lucky to make it out alive. Please...help..."

As the man caught his breath, Alito moved to steady him.

"It is alright, sir. We are here to help you, but why haven't the people evacuated? A Super-Heavy Champion never wants innocent people to get hurt."

"I couldn't get them to leave. The last attack was on the outskirts of town, and they think it's safe here." The man grunted and grabbed his side. "Please... Don't let them be wrong."

The man assured them he would get to a safe place, and that he could make it himself. Before long, screams could be heard, and then a loud shockwave, that hurt even Alito's ears. Their enemies had arrived.

Alito took a defensive stance, ready for the first group that would arrive.

((OOC: I'll let you get to this point, and then you can roll the enemy die. I'll take the first turn after you roll, if that's alright.))

"I couldn't get them to leave. The last attack was on the outskirts of town, and they think it's safe here." The man grunted and grabbed his side. "Please... Don't let them be wrong."
"Damn, we have to bring him to safety" Chaos had trouble picking him up.

"A little help big guy?" Chaos asked. Alito had no trouble picking the man up, Chaos didn't need to help him at all. Suddenly, screams were being heard, as well as a loud shockwave. The noise was unbearably loud. Chaos's ears hurt from the wave. Their enemies were here.

An explosion could be heard as people began running away, Chaos wondered. "So they finally went to this part of town. But why now? Unless the one controlling them already knew we were here and sent them after us. If that's the case, then bring it on!" Chaos smirked. A voice was heard from a distance.

"That cockyness will get you killed kid. Guess the both of you will need to be taught a little something." It was hard to see who it was due to the smoke from the explosion. What was clewr, however, was that whoever it was began walking closer.
"So, he's controlled what you say as well?" Small laughing could be heard. They both stood their ground and looked around for the opponent, as he could be anywhere. The smoke started to clear up, and it was clear who it was who attacked the town.

'Monster Dice' :

As the smoke cleared, three wizards appeared. They were obviously fire wizards, and they looked insane. They had crooked smiles and looked upon them with disdain.

"What do we have here? A few wizards came to play with us! The one in the center hissed. "Let's kill this suckers, and burn this village down!"

He launched a fire stream at the two of them, but over their heads. It was a warning shot. Alito felt the heat sizzle above his head. These guys would be no push-overs, for sure. He stood in front of Chaos, and outstretched his arm. "A Super Heavy Champion values his offense! Requip! Super Heavy Sempill Ultra Greastsword!" A magic circle appeared in front of him, and he reached through it, pulling out a large ultra greatsword, over 7 feet long. He held it up, as though it was no lighter than a rapier. He held out his other hand, and one of the gems on the hilt began to glow.

The Wizards took a step back, at first taken aback at the large sword, but then prepared for the battle, a crazy, wide-eyed look on their faces. They were still clustered, and if Alito could take advantage of that, he'd be able to knock them down a notch. But they used fire, and that would not be great for their situation, if it went on too long. Alito took a defensive stance, his sword in front of him in two hands.

"I must prepare for this battle. Stay sharp, Chaos!"

Alito pulled the sword in front of him, preparing for the first move.

((OOC: On your post, you'll need to do an attack roll to see if a civilian gets hit.))

"Don't worry, these guys will be finished in no time at all-" Chaos's words were cut short when a fireball came flying at him, he pulled out his Ice-Make shield, though, the shield melted and the remaining fire hit Chaos. "Geez, look at him, he's just all talk." Chaos was crouched on the ground and the fire mage came closer. Chaos quickly stood up and punched him with all his might. The mage fell down, but stood back up."A sneak attack? what a cowardly tactic." The mage still had an insane look on his face. He looked as cocky as ever.

The fire mage ran up to him and Chaos put crossed his arms to guard. "You can't guard fire, dumbass!" He got ready to use more fire but Chaos covered his arms with his ice-make seven blade dance and smiled before uncrossing his arms and cut the mage with the blades. The fire mage fell down."Guess you were the one who was all talk." The fire mage just smiled. Another mage grabbed Chaos from behind and held him so he couldn't move. The fire mage stood up. "If you aren't all talk, then prove it to me by surviving this next attack." Both of the mages started quietly laughing again.

"You don't actually think I'll die from a weak spell like yours, do you?" Chaos smiled.
"Well, how about I show you a little sample of what's going to happen to you?"

"No, You wouldn't!" The fire mages began laughing louder.

"Don't worry, these guys will be finished in no time at all-"

Alito moved to defend Chaos, but he was too slow. The fire his his ice shield, but quickly melted through it. Just as I suspected. An ice mage is weak to these fire mages. A Super-Heavy Champion must get creative in times such as these.

"Geez, look at him, he's just all talk."

The mages were definitely cocky, but Chaos was not offput, so Alito couldn't be either. He stepped to the side, realizing that the mages were focused on Chaos. He would strike the moment he could. He charged the second gem on the hilt of his sword, preparing himself if the battle would drag out. As much as he hated to admit it, these guys were not even the main aim of their job.

Chaos was engaging the mages at close range, and landed an attack on on the main one. The guys seemed hurt, but not hurt enough to stop his laughing. All three continued on their insane laughter. Suddenly, Chaos was grabbed from behind and was being restrained. Alito knew it would soon be the perfect time to strike.


"You don't actually think I'll die from a weak spell like yours, do you?"

"Well, how about I show you a little sample of what's going to happen to you?"

"No, You wouldn't!"

Alito's eyes grew wide. He realized just a second too late what the fire mages intended to do. He charged at them, intent on stopping their action. He was too slow, and saw the fire mage cast a fireball, which landed directly on a young man's chest. The man cried out, and crumpled to the ground. Alito was furious. "A Super-Heavy Champion never allows the innocent to die! Go! Great Ultra Swing!"

Alito put both hands on the hilt, swinging his sword in a large art with great vigor. It struck two of the mages in the back, leaving a large wound on both of their backs. The third, who was still holding Chaos, was flung back by the great shockwave, releasing Chaos. He landed on his back with a thud. That one had taken more damage, and took a little more time to get up. A few more hits might keep him down.

"Chaos! To me! We must be prepared to strike together!"

The fire mage cast a fireball, which landed directly on a young man's chest. The man cried out, and crumpled to the ground. "You bastard!" Chaos bit the mage holding him's arm.
"Gah! Try all you want but-" The mage was cut off.

"A Super-Heavy Champion never allows the innocent to die! Go! Great Ultra Swing!" Two of the mages were struck in the back by the sword, while the third, (who was holding Chaos) was thrown back by the schockwave of the sword. It let Chaos escape his grasp. "Chaos! To me! We must be prepared to strike together!"

"Right" Chaos stepped back next to Alito. All the mages stood back up, although one of them took longer than the others. He wiped off any blood on his face. "Alright you bastards, let's show you why no one wants to mess with us. You aint gonna live after today." They cracked their knuckles and had crooked smiles on them, they were somehow even more cocky than before.

"Alright, I think I have a plan, if I shoot them with my Ice-Make Minigun, then maybe you could run up and attack when they're distracted. Does that sound good?" Chaos told Alito before forming his Ice-Make Minigun. Just then, all three fireballs came at once and were aimed at the both of them."Damnit!" Chaos tried to escape the attack, but it was no use, the fireballs were just too fast, the heat was getting intense and it was impossible to dodge.

'Damage Dice' :

The mages were preparing to attack. Chaos was too distracted by his plan to see it. Alito grit his teeth. He didn't want to have to pull out this yet, but it was necessary. "A Super Heavy Champion values his defence! Requip! Super Heavy Tower Greatshield!"

A magic circle appeared over Alito, and a large shield, almost 7 feet tall, fell to the ground. Alito barely had enough time to attach it to his arm, and bring it over Chaos to block the fireballs. The heat still seared at their sides, but he had blocked a good portion of the damage. He took a quick look behind, relieved to see no civilians had been hurt in the blast. He brought his attention back to the mages; Alito didn't waste a second.

"Now Chaos! Strike!"

He charged at the mages, running at speeds impossible to a Knight carrying a shield and sword of that size, but that was nothing for a Super-Heavy Champion. The shield and sword weighed no more than a leather buckler and mace to him. As Alito approached, one of the mages laughed. "So eager to meet your doom!" And cast a fireball at him. Alito was ready, and deflected it with his shield. The spell bounced off, and he flung his shield so the spell flew right at the mage who had taken the most damage. At this range, and being caught unaware, the mage had no time to dodge, and was struck by the spell. It flung him back, and he struggled to get up, then crumpled. One of the mages was down.

Alito swung out with his sword. With only one hand, it wouldn't do as much damage, but it could still hit. The mages were ready, and both jumped up high to avoid the strike. The started preparing their magic, Alito dead center in their sights. He only hoped Chaos had been prepared for this- the mages were wide open, but so was he.

The mages were then hit by Chaos's ice bullets, one was hit by four, while the other was hit by three. They both fell to the ground, but weren't finished just quite yet.

"Ice Make Knuckles!" Chaos began forming ice around his knuckles, when they stood up, he punched one of them back down. "You little..." The other mage stepped back and tried to cast another fireball, but Chaos caught up to him before he did and punched him in the gut. He fell down as well.

They both stood back up and were furious. "Try dodging this then." Out of pure anger, one of them threw a fireball at Chaos. Chaos wasn't able to block it with Ice Make Shield in time, he knew that it wouldn't have completely been blocked, but dodging it might've meant risking a civilian's life, but not meant risking his own. He could only act on instinct and decided to instead dodge it. It went towards a civilian. "You fool" The mage smiled.

"No, watch out!" Chaos desperately yelled to her. She looked when it appeared to be too late. Chaos was unsure whether the person escaped or not, but it would all be clear once the smoke cleared up.

"Damnit, why didn't I try to block it?" Chaos was angry at himself for risking yet another civilian's life.

'Damage Dice' :

Chaos had perfectly followed Alito's lead. The two mages were struck in the air, and he was able to follow up with two direct hits! Alito attached his shield to his back, putting two hands on his sword. He came at the mages.

"Try dodging this! You too!"

The mage fired at Chaos, who was able to dodge. Alito noticed a woman directly behind him, and only through sheer luck did the attack miss her. Alito grit his teeth, closing the distance. "A Super-Heavy Champion will not let evil stand! Begone!" He swung his sword with all his might, striking direct hits from the side of the mages, who did not see him coming. Both flew back, on landing on his back with a yelp of pain, the other being thrown against a wall, crumpling to the ground. Alito stood over the last adversary. "Do not stand, fiend." The man closed his eyes, and his breathing slowed.

People still ran amok in pandemonium, unsure of where to go or what to do. Alito walked over to chaos, putting magic power into the third gem on his sword. As soon as he did, the sword shined brilliantly white, and was returned. "I will not have access to the Semphill Ultra Greatsword for a while now. I hope we are prepared for another adversary. Do you need any assistance, Chaos?"

No sooner had Alito reached out a hand to stop him than another ring of laughter could be heard. Another foe had appeared. Would they be prepared for his attacks?

The mage fired at Chaos, who was able to dodge. Alito noticed a woman directly behind him, and only through sheer luck did the attack miss her. "Woah, that was close." Chaos was relieved.

Alito walked over to chaos, putting magic power into the third gem on his sword. As soon as he did, the sword shined brilliantly white, and was returned. "I will not have access to the Semphill Ultra Greatsword for a while now. I hope we are prepared for another adversary. Do you need any assistance, Chaos?"

"Probably, if any more show up." Chaos looked around.

"I think we're okay for now, the others are too right?"

"I think we should take the injured to safety."

The injured client spoke up, "The market...the rest might be at the market." The man explained.
"Right, we'll go there then" Chaos said, but as soon as he said that, another string of laughter was heard.

"Damn, not these guys again..."

"Those guys before us were weak, we're much stronger."

"Yeah right"

"You wanna see how strong we are, fine, we'll show you, we just need a volunteer." They laughed and grabbed a man who was hiding in the background.

"He'll do just fine." They held the man and made sure he couldn't escape.

"Damn, not again...bastards, why don't you fire at us instead?" Chaos was angry and clenched his fists.

"How can we prove our strength without civilians?" Chaos remembered that they were hypnotized and sighed.
No use trying to reason with them... Chaos thought to himself.

'Damage Dice' :

No sooner had Alito started breathing than the laughter returned. He quickly turned around, seeing three more wizards had joined the fray. This was only going to get tougher. As Alito took a fighting stance, one of the Wizards prepared a spell.

"He'll do just fine."

"Damn, not again...bastards, why don't you fire at us instead?"

"How can we prove our strength without civilians?"

Alito gritted his teeth as the man fell to the ground. Hopefully he'd be okay. Hopefully, he'd survive. Hopefully, they'd make it out of this mess. No, not hopefully. A Super-Heavy Champion must be steadfast in his decisions. They would make it out of here. Alito began to yell.

"A Super-Heavy Champion chooses his opponents with Honor! But you men have no honor. You have no control! I will end you all!"

His eyes filled with rage. They needed to be taken out fast. Alito charged at them, shielding the firestream that came from one of them. He could feel pain is it burned at his sides, not directly behind the shield, but he didn't care. He hopped to the left and bashed one of the wizards in the back with the bottom of his shield. The man crippled over, shouting in agony. Alito did the same as one of the other wizards shot a fireball at his side, hitting him directly.

He jumped, and shoved into the man with his shield. His jump narrowly avoided a firestream from the third wizard. I can't keep this up for long... But hopefully Chaos will find an opening.

"Chaos! They group together, it's their weakness! They've got it bad in close quarters."

"Then I guess we'll have to get up in their face!" Chaos responded as he used his Ice-Make Seven Blade Dance again. Chaos came rushing at them and hit one of them with his blade, then turned around and hit the others. They all fell and had apparent wounds from the blade.

Chaos began catching his breath when one of the fire mages stood back up and shot him with a fireball directly. Chaos hit the ground and had a hard time getting back up because of the his burn. "How was that? You fool, no one can beat us."

Chaos finally stood back up and looked determined. "No one? Then what are we doing right now?" The fire mage grit his teeth.

"Learn your place idiot!"

This was Chaos's chance, he came rushing at them, one of the mages tried using another fireball, so Chaos used his Ice-Make Shield quickly, it broke but the damage Chaos recieved was lessened. He punched one of them in the gut, kicked the other, and punched the remainder in the face.

This time though, only one of the fire mages fell down. Chaos looked around, only to see that he was surrounded. He looked for an opening, but it appeared that they tried to cover every spot like a triangle. "Say your prayers, weak mage." They all prepared to use another fireball on Chaos, there was no escape. Chaos called out to Alito for help.

'Damage Dice' :

Alito's rage had not lessened. These punks were not going to win. Chaos was fighting so fervently, Alito would not be outdone. The mages were surprised by Chaos, and took many hits, but Chaos had taken good damage too. They moved to surround him, giving Alito the perfect chance. He jumped in, able to deflect the fireball that they had just fired.

The timing was off though, he wasn't able to aim correctly. The fireball hit a building, causing rubble to fall on a bystander. Alito shouted in anger. He was so done with these guys, and their awful regards. Sure, it wasn't their fault, but Alito couldn't keep the rage in anyways. He quickly jumped back, grabbing Chaos, as two of the wizards fired spells at them. Alito dodged them, and the fireballs smacked into opposing wizards, flung back from their own spells. The third wizard looked pissed.

"You talk about honor! That wasn't fair at all! I'll show you, I'll show them all!"

He sent two fireballs at Alito and Chaos. Alito blocked them both, struggling to protect Chaos. Surely they are almost out of magic power... We could definitely take them on in non-magical combat.

As though on cue, the man went to cast another fireball, but found nothing happened. If he had looked pissed before, he looked downright mean now. The other two slowly stood back up. They would not be able to take much more. But Alito's shield wouldn't be around for too much longer, either.

My shield... My shield!

"Chaos, we have a chance, jump onto my shield!"

He quickly jumped back, grabbing Chaos, as two of the wizards fired spells at them. Alito dodged them, and the fireballs smacked into opposing wizards, flung back from their own spells. "Thanks, I was in trouble for a second there.

"Chaos, we have a chance, jump onto my shield!" Chaos was confused, but listened and jumped on it. Alito used levitation magic so the shield would fly with Chaos.

"Woah, alright, I can work with this." The shield flew towards one of the fire mages and Chaos punched him in the gut.

"You think that a flying shield's gonna stop us?" The fire mage tried to use his remaining magic power on him, but Chaos hit him with the mage from earlier's back and they both fell, defeated.

The final fire mage also had little magic left, he used his final fireball when the shield came rushing at him. Chaos tried to block it with the shield, but fell off of it in the process, he quickly got back up and rushed at the fire mage, using his Ice-Make Knuckles to punch the mage straight in the face. He also fell down and was defeated with that last hit. "Stay down this time."

Chaos kept his Ice-Make Knuckles out this time, so he wouldn't be wasting his magic. He began to catch his breath.

"I think we should try heading market now. It's what the job said all this supposedly happens at after all. Maybe the guy behind all of this is there."
