Job Description:"Bless you for taking your time and reading this. Unfortunately, the patients in our childrens ward seem rather depressed after we couldn't keep our usual entertainment for them, this wonderful performer magician, whose asking price was getting too high for us to pay. If you could be a dear and make these children happy, I would be ever so grateful, and there is a reward of course. Much appreciated, you kind soul." - Nurse Gladys.

Noticing the job post for a hospital involving children Devon jumped at the chance to go she would not need anyone to go with her on this job there would be no one to fight with so devon wanted to go alown she wanted to see the children to sing them the prays of her homeland.

When Devon arrived at the hospital she was shown the way to where she would entertain the children and she smiled softly as she waited for everyone to arrive. Devon had decided on having her wings away so not to have the children to overwelmed. sitting on a stool Devon looked about "hello everyone My name is Devon I have come to sing for you!" her voice soft but loud enough for everyone to hear her.

"so where do I start there are many songs from where I come from but how about one that is a pray for good health!" she said and started to sing her voice fluttered softly through the air.

The song lasted a while and it seemed to entertain the children as it was soft and soothing it made the children relax as they where timid Devon thought this song would get them out of there shells. the sight of smiling children made Devon's heart filled with joy and she slowly came to the end next she opened her hand and let small lights float from her pram and dance around the room as she started her next pray. The lights danced around the room lightly touch the children witch made them giggle and her voice softly sang a pray for good heath and happiness. Devon slowly faded from her song as the children was really enjoying her lights she decided to let them play with them as long as they wished. for the next hour all you heard was the children giggle Devon done no more than keep the dancing lights inside the room.

Devon sighed softly he eyes wondered over the kids as her dancing lights faded, she needed to rest from the singing and dancing lights so she smiled looking around at the kids and pointed to the art supplies laid out on a table near by "how about we draw, paint or glue picturse and you can all show me how good you are!" she stated happerly a wide smile on her lips as the kids shouted with glee as they gathered around the tables and started to draw all sorts of patterns the glee showing on the faces. Devon moved around the room watching the children helping them if they needed it and joking with them so you could hear the laughter all the way down the hospital hallways. A group gathered around outside it had been a while since the children seemed so happy and this made the grown-up happy seeing there children or pations happy.

the children loved painting the ones that got bord went onto games witch kept them entertained wilst the other kids finished the pictures all of them where placed in a warm safe place to dry off and Devon them went onto hide and seek. closing her eyes Devon counted out loud as the kids hid "one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty ready or not here come!" Devon said loudly and started to seek around the room pooping her head under the beds as she went Devon found no one under there. Devon was soon searching the whole ward slowly finding the children as they giggled when she got close but they seemed to like the game with made Devon happy, the last child to find was hidden behind the nurses desk the woman had helped him over and showed him somewhere he could hide witch worked as he was last to be found.

Laughing together Devon smiled softly her voice started chiming she started going into another song this one had been sung to her as a child by her mother the memory was overwhelming and her voice broke and she struggled to stabilize her voice. Devon opened her eyes her voice turned normal but Devon felt the tear that had rolled down her cheek without stopping her song Devon wiped the tear away. her song continued her heart was shattering with the thoughts of her family her home creeping back at the end Devon had to take a brake, A moment latter Devon had managed to exit the hospital she had needed air the memories where getting to much she was close to a brake down why had she chosen that song it had made the children happy but to what effect and cost. Taking a few minuets Devon carmed herself then went back to the job at hand.

walking back into the room full of children Devon had put a smile on her face "I am sorry I needed some air who want to sing for me?" she asked thinking one of the children would like to sing for her on did a small girl came forward she was quiet and her voice did not quite reach Devon's ears but she just smiled and sat with the other children asking s=for quiet. when the girl started Devon was amazed the girls small voice turned into an amazing tune her mouth fell open, the song lasted a long time almost 5 minuets her heart almost broke when the girl stopped and she clapped with enthusiasm. Devon moved from her spot and looked around before she went into some nursery rhymes that all the children joined into. there where so many it took almost an hour to get through the more well known stuff.

Devon's voice started to scratch and she knew a brake was needed looking at the time Devon sore it was lunch time and she smiled widely "right food time lets go!" she stated as the children cheered her eyes went to the door did the kids go to the canteen or did the food come to them. As if a mind reader a child pulled on her sleeve "the cart comes in about five minuets we don't leave as they think its to risky for our health!" A small girl stated her eyes where doll not like they should be. Devon knelt down "your not missing much its quite doll out there!" she said in a soft voice trying to comfort the little girl. The moment Devon stood back up a nurse came in with the cart of food covered from head to toe in protective gear never touching a child almost as if she was afraid of them and what was wrong with then it was shocking seeing someone that was meant to care for people be so distant and uncaring.

Devon sighed softy making a soft smile appear on her lips aiming it at the kids before following the nurse "no wonder the kids are so bored you and your colleagues never interact with them they don't have anything catching you know!" she stated before turning back and headed back to the patients. on entering back into the room the kids where all sitting down silently eating there lunch "this is far to quiet for children!" Devon stated softly shacking her head thinking it was just a dream "they don't like us being loud at food time!" one of the kids responded it was shocking how much these kids where told they could not do a lot of things normal children would do. Devon moved to a seat and started to sing a kids classic "if your happy and you know it clap your hands" her voice chimed.

Devon chimed through her songs never stopping never going flat she sang for hours then the end of the day came the children became sad when they heard Devon had to leave and she said she would sing one more song "hush little children don't you cry Devon's going to back a pumpkin pie, if that pie doesn't taste real good Devon's gonna get a mocking bird, if the mocking bird don't sing Devon's gonna by you a demand ring, if that demand ring turns to brass Devon's gonna bye you a looking glass, if the looking glass gets broke Devon's gonna bye you a billy goat, if that billy goat don't pull Devon s gonna get you a cart and bull, if that cart and bull fulls over Devon's gonna buy you a dog named rover, if that dog named rover don't bark Devon's gonna bye you a horse and cart, if that horse and cart fulls down you will all still be the best kids around."

as the song drifted to an end the kids sighed with sadness they had had fun the whole day Devon tucked each child before heading to the door she turned quickly "each of you are special don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise!" Devon stated turning off the lights and shutting the door Devon walked away sad to leave the kids behind. Devon Started her long walk back to blue Pegasus she had joined the guild a little while ago she had her reasons but she had found it very quiet Devon had not quit bonded with any of the members at this point she wasn't quite shore if she fit in the guild not quit yet anyway. On her long walk back Devon thought of all the things she could do in the guild if only she had someone to team up with being shy was the thing that was holding her back.
