Hunter goes Gardening (a wizards grace)

The last demon disappeared and pein fell on his knees to try get his breath back. It was hurting like hell but he had to hold on it was nearly over. He could feel that the magic in the place was disappearing a bit. Not that he had that of a good magic sense tough. He was feeling a little bit calmer now that he had stabilized his breathing. His clothes were totally red from the attack. His pants and body weren’t that bad since they were black. But his jacket was pure white. he probably won’t be able to clean that out anymore. So another piece of his reward was already gone for a new jacket. That meant less money for hunting. This wasn’t that ideal but the reward was pretty good. Was too early to think about that tough. He still had to defeat a last group. He didn’t even finished that idea or another group of corn demons was slowly rising. Comon this is the last final stretch don’t die now. He grabbed his sword tight and looked at the positions of the enemies. Only five enemies this should be an okay fight even if he was a bit wounded.

The corns went for it with their body slams again. Pein tried to dodge as good as he could. But dodging when he was wounded like that was no easy task. His chest hurt with every movement but he could deliver a blow to the last corn as he charged past him. They tried to attack with there veins again but he blocked most with his sword. He got close to one of the corn demons and slashed his veins off and then stabbed trough him to kill him. Then got hit by some veins but it was not that hard of a hit. He grabbed the vein again and pulled the corn to him and stabbed trough it when it was close. He then used the body while it was disappearing as a shield to get to the next demon. As it diapered he lashed the demon in front of him and then kicked it away. To end up charging right in to it with his sword. Piercing it to the tree. He pulled it out of the tree and jumped backwards to dodge an enemy attack. He rolled forward to the enemy on the left and slashed him in two.

There was only one more enemy to defeat. Pein looked at the corn demon as it was unsure what to do. Pein crouched and jumped up as a kangaroo again with his spell. After a split second he crash landed with a kangaroo spirit around him behind the demon and slashed over its back. He then ran to the side of the demon and slashed it again to finish it up with a slash over its total body to finish it off. The demon disappeared. And as it was disappearing the crops that looked dark were turning back to normal. The evil presence that was spread over the land was slowly backing off again. Pein fell on one knee while he was coughing up some blood. He really had pushed himself a bit too far. The tension of his body faded as the battle was over. In the place the tiredness and stiffness kicked in is body. He still had to go to the job giver to tell that the job was completed. But he couldn’t move an inch at the moment. Maybe it’s better if I just lay down and sleep through the night and go in the morning.

The sun was risen high in the sky as pein was ion its way to the village. The long nap he took didn’t do wonders but he could at least walk again. When pein entered the village there was loads of sounds around him from farmers yelling that the crops were normal again. Pein ignored it and walked to a big building where a beanstalk grew out of . it was completely green to and had countless small windows. As he walked through the village people looked at him and his dirty clothes whispering if he was the one who destroyed the curse. Pein just walked to the door with a smile on his face. Recognition was always fun to receive. Even if it was from humans. Before he could open the door it slammed open. A tiny round man walked through the door. He was dressed in a very official coat and wear a big top hat. He adjusted his molecule and looked at pein from top to toe.
“hello I presume you’re the mayor. I completed the job. All the demons got hunted. I don’t know who started it tough but I don’t think they’ll be back soon.”, pein explained to the man. “ah youre very welcome to have done that kind sir. I am dalachia the mayor of bean stalk village. Come inside and well talk about your reward and our thanks to you.”, the mayor said excitingly. Pein followed the mayor inside for the reward.
