A Moment of Peace (Kaseki, Open)

It was peaceful afternoon as Malm laid down on a soft patch of grass with his reddish-brown ferret companion, Flare, lying next to him. While he wanted to just lazily enjoy the day, his mind wouldn't allow him. There was just way to many things for him to figure out for him to just relax.

Malm sighed as he sat up. "I don't know Flare. Should I join Fairy Tail? Am I really ready to join a guild?" He asked the Fire Ferret, who just lazily opened one eye to acknowledge Malm's presences before closing it again, "If I do, what am I going to tell Alexei and Bea the next time I see them. 'Hey guys. Long time no see. Sorry I joined a guild, so we can't be a team anymore.'" Malm sighed again as he lied down again, "Like that will go well."

"You really think so?" said a voice. It was the voice of none other than Kaseki. He looked over at Malm from where he lay. It was the place where the waves met the shore and ate away at it. It couldn't be known how long he had actually been there. But knowing Kaseki, it was a long time. "Malm, we're Dragon Fang, we stick together. Just because of a silly name of a team you think we would disband? Why, that would give us more reason to do missions together." Kaseki lay no more than a few meters closer to the edge of the cliff. He inched his way up. "Why, what do you think?"

Kaseki could appear just as a wave rushes the shore, and he could disappear like a tear in the rain.

Alexei walked silently through the field, his face grim. He'd been wandering around for a few days now, somewhat aimlessly; he was dreadfully bored, and needed something to do. As much as he hated to admit it, Almyra had been a decent source of entertainment. She may have been completely insane, but at least insanity was entertaining. Still, even madness had a method, so Alexei had left her before he grew bored of her. He needed to find another source of entertainment and excitement before he went insane, however, hence his current wandering.

The sight of two figures in front of him piqued his curiosity. What were other people doing out here? Maybe they would provide something interesting for him to do. Once he got close enough to recognize one of them, however, his heart sank. The wooden being in the distance could be none other than Kaseki, the being he had clashed with twice before. His face morphed into a snarl as he crouched low to the ground; he might as well be the one to make the first strike. His cloak turned a shade of bright white, activating it's speed-boosting capabilities as he applied Blacklight Barrage to his legs and arms, further speeding him up. He then dashed full-speed towards Kaseki, aiming to tackle him into a wall Alexei would create with his Hard Light skill. If that failed, he would use said wall to rebound, taking the wooden man by surprise for another attack. His companion could wait until later.

Malm was a little shocked when he suddenly heard Kaseki's voice out of nowhere. Well, at least until he recognized it to be Kaseki's voice. A part of him wanted to ask how long the tree man was standing there, but he elected not to.

"No offense Kaseki, but I honestly don't see what Dragon Fang has to do with my current situation." Malm said as politely as he could as he sat up to look at Kaseki, "While I'm sure Bea would eventually be okay with it, it's Alexei I'm really worried about. He already has made it not secret for his disdain for me, and I fear how he would react if he learned I was going to have to leave Glory in the Limelight to join a guild."

Almost as if on cue, Malm heard Flare hiss at something. Confusion then grew to worry as saw a wall of light appear near Kaseki and a blur of red rushing towards him. "Kaseki watch out." Malm called out, not sure if his warning would reach him in time.

"Just when I was in a good mood." Kaseki thought to himself. The simplicity of humans and their own conflicts, that was their downfall. Humans disappointed Kaseki, with only few of them as an exception. He did not move. He did not acknowledge Alexei. He was much to busy relaxing. He would let the child tackle him. It would be his own waste of time and energy. Kaseki has matters to attend to. So Alexei had made contact with the body. To his surprise his body turned to water just on mere contact. The water fell, or rather, covered Alexei. Kaseki would have laughed at the sight, but he could not see. He was with nature.

"Why do you wish to play such petty games?" said Kaseki. His voice in the open grassy field, why it seemed to go on forever. No one can win the war of sound with the breeze. No voice could match the crashing waves. His voice was never where he was.

The grass began to bulge from behind Malm, the opposing side of him from the pink haired boy. The ground began to open up. His face emerged, and like someone buried in the sand, the dirt parted ways to the side as he sat up. "... Malm, Dragon Fang has to do with the problem. Your team? Bea would understand, she would remain your friend. Alexei and the other would have to understand your situation. Sure your team can't be official, but all good things must come to an end. It does not mean that you all can't do jobs together." Kaseki said wholeheartedly to Malm. He meant every word he said. It was true, a team never defined friendship, friendship is what defined a team.

Spell Used (Signature Spell):

Alexei rebounded off of the wall as planned, landing feet-first with his body facing Kaseki. "I warned you," the Light God Slayer growled, "that the next time we met, we were going to settle this. Are you-"
Alexei suddenly cut off as he remembered that there was another person around. He turned slowly to face Malm, his face dark. "It's you, huh?" He said quietly; whether it was out of malice or resignation, nobody could tell. He was silent for a few moments before looking Malm in the eyes, his face hard. "From what it sounds like, you're considering joining a guild. Let me just say: I don't give a damn where you go, or what you do," he told the plant mage somberly. "Everybody has a right to their own path, and I won't try to keep you on your current route if you don't want to be there. On the other hand," he continued, turning to face Kaseki once more, "don't expect any mercy if our paths bring us together as enemies. If you follow this...thing, that will likely happen." The Light God Slayer's eyes narrowed as he glared at Kaseki. "Prepare yourself," he muttered before dashing towards Kaseki again, aiming to lash out at the Demon of Life with a devastating kick.

"Oh..." Malm said in mild surprise as he saw Kaseki's form turned out to be nothing more then water. Though he guessed he shouldn't be surprised seeing how Kaseki had used the same spell on Malm to help the plant mage get a hand for real combat. That training didn't exactly go as planned, but Malm did learn quite a bit about fighting and Kaseki during it.

What was more of a surprise was when he saw who it was who just tried to attack Kaseki was none other then Alexei. He had no clue what exactly was going on, but it was obvious that the steel mage wasn't exactly happy with Kaseki. Though was he still a steel mage? Malm could of swore he was, yet he started to doubt the fact seeing how Alexei was now using much more light base magic. How much has happened since he last met the red head?

"Uhh... Thanks for the advice." He told them both awkwardly after they both gave him their two cents. While his thanks was honest as they gave him the conviction he needed to make his choice, he was uncomfortable being caught in the middle as the two as they (or at least Alexei tries to) fight. Especially when he sees both of them as friends, and had came here specifically to be alone and relax.

"Alexei, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you have against Kaseki. I mean sure he is a dark wizard and isn't exactly the most uhh... What's the word I'm looking for? Likeable of people in the world, but I never saw you as an agent of justice. Speaking of which, why are you using light magic? I thought you were used metal magic." Malm asked Alexei as he stood up and prepared himself to back away from the two as they went at if he couldn't somehow find a way to stop the fight.

Wait a second. Where did Flare go?

Kaseki smiled as he took the hit. He didn't mind. That boy would hurt himself more than it did to Kaseki. "A heart of hate will harm you more than it does to others. You must learn to live a full heart of love." Kaseki was sickened by the boy's intentions. It bored him.

Kaseki turned toward his friend, "I say, join the guild. Let you feel it. If it feels wrong, they will understand."

There was not much for Kaseki to say or do. These three would have to come to terms. As for his assailant and his hatred of Dragon Fang, he would have to wait.
