Wandering the lands, Lucas had found himself in the land known as Rose Garden. He remembers the area from his childhood, but didn't remember it being anywhere near as lively. It seemed like a festival was going on everyday, 24/7, but this was better expressed at night given all the beautiful lights. Blues, Greens, Reds, Yellows, even ominous Purples were hung overhead in lanterns by strings stretching from rooftop to rooftop. Crowded streets, laughing and playing children, romancing teens, ripening couples, and golden and well aged elders. They were all out and about shopping and enjoying what the streets had to offer.

Somewhere on the roadside, Lucas had decided to set up a small stand himself, but instead of a stand it was more so just a section he had claimed for himself. A nice gaudy carpet laid out on the ground, he sat on it cross legged, with an accumulation of things in front of him and the wall of a building behind him. This wall though was covered with a red carpet like the one he sat on, making this small section have more of Lucas' influence on it. In front of him on this carpet he had see through red and blue dice, two lanterns, both lit, but burning with scented candles that had a sweet scent, some blank slips of paper, and the trade mark of all roadside gypsies a stray monkey that lingered on his shoulder as he waited for an interesting soul. Clothed in what he normally wore, his casual samurai clothing, he was simply cross legged as he sat patiently with a brown small chimp on his shoulder.

Alexei made his way down the streets of Rose Garden, looking for something entertaining. As much as he hated to admit it, his companions added some excitement to his life; they were off exploring a different part of Rose Garden at the moment, however, leaving Alexei with little to do. So here he was, exploring the 'magical' city. He'd been told that it was a sight to behold, but he was honestly somewhat bored; once you'd seen one part of the city, it felt like you'd seen all of it, in Alexei's opinion at least.
In a desperate attempt to stave off the boredom, Alexei began to examine the various street vendors. Most of them, like the city itself, were boring once you got down to it; many sold the same tourist-trap items, and sometimes even the same type of food (not that Alexei wanted food right now, anyway). Only one of them caught his eye: A strange, blond man in samurai garb, seated on a gaudy carpet with various seemingly-random objects in front of him. Unlike the other vendors, there was an air of novelty around this one; it seemed like an interesting place to inquire about, at least for a little while. Alexei made his way over to the vendor and made eye contact with the man, ensuring that he knew the young adult was there before he began to speak. "What exactly do you do here?" Alexei asked quietly.

Almost falling over asleep in his own burning incense, Lucas noted a pair of footsteps had halted their journey in front of his "stand" if it qualified to be called that . . . Scanning up form the shoes, to the pants, to the shirt, to the face, Lucas was intrigued. This one had a delicious air about them, one which Lucas would be sure to fully ingest in the amount of time that he would be given to hold his attention, may that be seconds, minutes, or hours, it didn't matter, for the moment their eyes locked, Topaz to Ruby, Lucas opened up a window to his world and would use the gift he was blessed with to cast an illusion on this mans mind. Lucas wasn't aware that he could use this gift for harming souls, but instead he was always raised to believe that it was a unique way of fortune telling.

So within that instant their eyes locked, the grin of a serpent would slither onto Lucas' visage as his lips parted and his teeth were devilishly shone. He meant no harm, but he liked to keep a mysterious aura about him and his realm -vending stand-. Though the man was now vulnerable to his ability, that would do nothing for Lucas, though it would be much funner that way. Instead he modestly waved out a hand offering the man a seat on his carpet. If he did sit the space in between them would be occupied by all of Lucas' odd items. The monkey chittering and chattering would scurry from Lucas' shoulder to the visitors and reach out for a small cord with a fancy tassel on its end. Pulling this, a new carpet would be rolled out, matching in color, but it would enclose the space, leaving the only exit up, this being the exit the sweet smoke from the lanterns and incense took. "Peer into my eyes and instead . . . I will tell you what you do here."

Bright Night for some Mischief [Open] Lucas310

Given the man did as Lucas directed, he would soon find the world being overwritten in a solid and bold ebony and a skeletal ivory, he was now in the realm of the Malefic Illusion.
