Beowulf cut a strange figure as he walked the halls down to the guilds main common area. Then again even in a guild such as this Beowulf would always cut a strange figure. This was firstly because he walked on all fours, but this would only be one of the things you noticed. Another would be that he was smoking a pipe that seemed to puff in strange colours. Another was the scar over his eye. However, the strangest thing was that he was not even vaguely humanoid. Beowulf was a wolf who had gained intelligence and magic via exposure to a high background level of eternano. He had been outcast from his pack, taken in by a circus where he learned to use his magic, and then escaped. Now he was a low level member of a dark guild.
He had yet to meet many of the members of the guild and as such decided to descend to the common room and see who was about and if any jobs took his interest. He was a mage now, and whilst taking jobs would be trickier as a wolf, it was not impossible. As such he would go on some and do the job of a mage.
He stalked into the hall on the alert glancing left and right. He always went cautiously worried someone would try to make him a slave again. For now the guild hall SEEMED empty, but scents told him that people were nearby. He walked over to the guild notice board and focused slightly generating a smoke cloud beneath him which lifted him up to a level appropriate to see all the notices on the guild board.
