    Magic

    Primary Magic: Shadow Fire Magic.
    Caster or Holder: Caster.
    Description:
    The Shadow Fire Magic is a magic type created through John's darkness inside him and the fire that burned him, instead of killing him he absorbed it, making it a part of him. He had woken up hours later after he had been left to die from his wounds, instead he found his hand on fire, being unable to really put it out but he also noticed that the flame didn't hurt as the rest of his burned torso and arms did. The Black flame that flickered around his arm was the first sign of magic that showed itself to him.

    The Shadow Fire magic is a destructive magic that was born within John, seeping into the darkness that was his soul after the death of his family. Unlike normal fire who needs a fuel like Wood, paper or other flammable materials to spread, the Shadow Fire only needs a shadow. Meaning it can spread across metallic surfaces as long as a shadow is there. The darker the shadow that it burns from the stronger the fire.

    John uses his magic as a weapon and a bit of a defense, the way he uses it as a defense is to disappear into the shadows, as the black flames can be used to camouflage him in the dark, making him very hard to notice.

    Strengths:

    - Destructive nature, allowing him to set buildings on fire with ease.

    - Spreads with ease, it allows him to spread his fire through shadows.

    - Gives him fire resistance against fire on his rank of 25%

    - Can manipulate normal flames as well. (Normal flames as in fire created by igniting a fluid with a torch etc.)

    - Can create his own source of lighting, making his shadow fire stronger.

    - Area of Effect magic.

    - Can't be eaten by Dragon Slayers (Neither Fire nor Shadow)

    Weaknesses:

    - Can Harm allies as well as foes.

    - Has no real control of them after setting fire to an object, can guide the flames at the start but not afterwards.

    - Shadow Fire weak to Holy magic and the normal fire is weak to wind and stronger water mages.

    - Certain spells have a channel time and long cooldown.

    - Shadow Fire is best used offensively.

    - His spells makes him work best alone because they might damage allies otherwise.

    - No single target spells.

    - Can be eaten by Demon Slayers.

    - Can be eaten by God Slayers.

    Abilities/Powers:

    Spells

    Name: Shadow Jump.
    Rank: D
    Type: Defensive.
    Description:

    Shadow Jump is a way for John to travel between shadows within 10 Meters of him as long as he has seen the area before and that there is nothing blocking him. When activated it looks like the shadows slowly swallow him, wrapping around him till he disappears. The spell can only be activated when he's standing in shadows, making it easy to prevent him from casting it by aiming a light source directly at him as he can not jump from his own shadow. He can only jump alone from one shadow to another and it has a long cooldown compared to the small activation timer.

    Strengths:

    - Allows a quick and clean getaway from a troublesome situation if he is given a few seconds in a shadow.

    - It allows him to move soundlessly in and out of buildings he has already been in before and know the layout of the shadows.

    - Can be used to gain an advantage in a surprise attack.

    Weaknesses:

    - 4 Post Cooldown.

    - 1 Post Activation.

    - Can be interrupted by casting light upon him, making the shadows surrounding him disappear.

    - Makes him unable to return any attacks for the brief duration.

    - Short Range of 10 Meters.

    - Can't jump another person through shadows, only works on him and alone.


    Name: Body of Shadow Fire.
    Rank: D
    Type: Offensive Fire.
    Description:

    John wraps himself in his Shadow Flames, making the black flames flicker around him as he walk, leaving a trail of burning shadows where his feet touch the ground. He can utilize this spell as a hand-to-hand enhancer, making him more potent  when it comes to close  combat melee fighting. When walking in light the black flames are visible to the naked eye, but in the dark it's as if the light source had something moving in front of it, casting shadows upon him. He considers the spell an Area of Effect as he leaves a burning shadow when he move, but it can also be considered a single target spell. The spell doesn't last very long and has a short cooldown.


    Strengths:

    - Improves his unarmed combat abilities by 45 to 60% Depending on the amount of fire that he has gathered.

    - Can be used to set fire to a surface by walking across it.

    - It leaves shadows behind for his other fires to start in or jump to.

    Weaknesses:

    - 4 Post cooldown (Starts when spell ends)

    - Lasts 3 Posts.

    - Makes him easy to track.

    - Can't jump to them with Shadow Jump.

    - 1 Post Activation

    Name: Soul of Fire.
    Rank: D
    Type: Fire, Offensive
    Description:

    Soul of Fire is an passive/active spell. John doesn't react to fire like other humans do, instead of taking damage from it, he has a small chance of absorbing it, or if it's a spell cast from another mage, he can revert the magic and make it his own, allowing him to cast it back against the original caster.

    When walking through wild fire, it looks like the fire bends around him, becoming blacker the closer they get to him. If he's using Body of Shadow Fire when moving through neutral fire, it will stick to him, increasing the amount of fire that moves around him, thus enhancing the original spell. This spell also increases in rank along with John, (When he reaches C-rank, this spell moves up one notch as well.)

    Strengths:

    - Can enhance his Body of Shadow Fire when moving through wild fire.

    - Can turn a fire mage's spell against it, if they are of equal or lower rank than him.

    - Allows him to move through wild fire almost unharmed.

    Weaknesses:

    - Conversion of another mage's fire magic requires them to be off lower rank to have guaranteed success. There's a chance of him being able to convert the fire of an equal ranked mage, however he can not convert the fire of a higher ranked mage.

    - Fire Conversion has a 4 Post Cooldown.

    - Can not move through Mage created fire without taking damage, if they are of equal or higher rank.

    - The Conversion Spell and passive has no range, as it requires the fire to make contact with him.

    - 1 Post Activation


    Name: Cataclysm.
    Rank: D
    Type: Fire, Offensive, Area of Effect.
    Description:

    John channels his spell for a couple of seconds,  throwing most of his mana into ít to then discharge a large fiery explosion with John in the center. The fire reaches out for 3 Meters in a circle around John, the explosion itself also reaches up around 3 meters as well into the air, if the space allows it.

    When channeling the spell he has to stand still for the entire channel duration, it's also quite visible on him when channeling. His limbs gets wrapped in flames, his once almost pitch black eyes starts glowing fiery red.

    Strengths:

    - wide Area of Effect

    - Allows for large amount of destruction.

    - Deals twice the amount of normal D rank spells 2 Meters in, decreasing to the normal amount of D rank damage when closer to the edge of the explosion.

    Weaknesses:

    - 8 post cooldown.

    - Drains a lot of mana to cast.

    - Takes time to charge and cast.

    - 3 Post Cast time.
