Maiden Snatcher (Aaron and Orin)

The east forest was a seemingly calm place around this time of day, especially since it was warm and sunny out. The skies were clear, the breeze was gentle and Orin was eager to start the mission. She had even arrived an hour earlier than she needed too because she was so eager. That probably wasn't the smartest idea, because now she was impatient. Though, it was her fault. She didn't blame the man she was waiting on at all, it was her fault for coming an hour earlier. Either way, she was still eagerly awaiting this man's arrival. She wondered what he was like for a moment before brushing the thought off and deciding to see what he was like for herself, rather than pondering on it. Daydreaming about a man she didn't know wasn't very appealing to her.

Orin looked at her wrists and arms, pulling up her sleeves to look at them. They were cut many a time, but they seemed to heal the day after she got them. These cuts were from earlier today, when she got aroused from accidentally slitting open her wrist. Now her kitchen was a mess that needed to be cleaned up. Maybe she was procrastinating by coming here early as opposed to cleaning it up like she should have? Maybe. She didn't really care though. For now, she decided to stop thinking about it and instead kept pacing around the front of the East forest as she waited for her "partner" to arrive.

Meanwhile, Aaron had been half way to the entrance of East Forest when it had hit him. It was nothing out of the ordinary, at least not for him, it was simply an abnormal case of narcolepsy. Such an affliction is what has lead to the current scene. . .

Aaron lay against a tree, his face pressed roughly against the trunk, his body arched in what most would consider an incredibly uncomfortable position. This youth however seemed unaffected, a smug smile upon his maw as he mumbled in his sleep. “What? There is no way I could eat all that food.” Just as the last word left him, he bit into the tree, his fangs ripping into it with ease. That was when his eyelids ripped open. “Damn that was a good nap.” He mumbled as he sat up, his word jumbled as he was still chewing upon a piece of the tree. He seemed oblivious to it as he just kept chewing it up. Upon realizing what he was eating he simply shrugged and spat it out.

Aaron grumbled some as he pulled himself to his feet. “Why the hell is it so hot outside?” He snapped angrily as he kicked the tree he had been eating rather violently. He once more shrugged this off, dismissing the excessive heat as being unrelated to the fact he was wearing a thick darkly-colored hoodie. Soon enough he was once more on his way. A good five minute walk later he had arrived at the entrance to East Forest. “Hm? The hell are you lookin' at?” He snapped angrily at his “partner” when he saw her examining the cuts upon her arms. “You onea' those freaks?” He asked bluntly as he pointed at the cuts, an annoyed scowl resting upon his maw. Aaron, by far, had to be one of the most unruly people in the Fairy Tail guild. He was very much unlike his comrades, he was brash, rude, careless, and in most cases, someone who could easily piss others off just by being present. Though, this was simply a defense mechanism, he didn't want to get close to anyone. He knew he wasn't safe, nor were the members of the guild. The longer he stayed with them, the better chance he had of being discovered by the Kingdom of Pergrande. Despite the distance between the countries, he was still someone they wanted dead, regardless of the method.

Orin smiled upon seeing Aaron approach, disregarding his comment on her cuts. They were her business, not his. That is, until they got in combat and she was forced to use her magic.

"Most people consider me to be a freak, so I guess I am." she said, pulling her sleeves back down to cover her cut marks from earlier today. They'd disappear tomorrow, and be replaced with new ones very shortly after. "So what is your name, sir?" she asked, her tone of voice being very polite and careful. She prided herself on the way she spoke, and disliked shortening words or slang or anything of the sort.

"You may call me Orin, a nickname from when I was a mere child." she said with a smile. She stood upright, chin up, with her arms straight at her sides as she smiled comfortingly at Aaron, trying to be nice despite his rude and vulgar behavior. She wasn't stuck up, but she certainly did seem like it. She was actually trying to be nice, but if her posture and speech didn't say "stuck up bitch", she didn't know what did.

"Come, shall we begin?" she asked as she turned, her tails flowing behind her as she began to walk into the forest, waiting for Aaron to catch up to her. Her cat ears flicked back and forth every now and again, picking up sounds here and there before turning to face back in front of her again. She was trying to listen for anything that might sound like a maiden in distress, which is why they were here. Well, why Orin was here. Maybe Aaron was just here for the reward? She didn't know just yet.

Aaron's scowl only deepened when she said, “Most people consider me to be a freak, so I guess I am.”, his brow furrowing slightly in annoyance. “The hell is with that boring ass reaction? The least ya could do is get pissed or somethin'.” He snapped at her his arms found themselves being crossed over his chest and one another. When she said, “So what is your name, sir?” all he could do was blink a few times out of confusion. “The hell is a sir? The names Aaron, but most just call me a Monster.” He said with clear annoyance tinging his words. His tone of voice was the polar opposite of her's, it inferred nothing but rudeness and disregard for how she might decide to react.


“O-r-i-n?” He said rather slowly, what's worse, he even took the time to sound out each letter of the nickname rather than show it the level of respect others probably would. Aaron peered over at her from under the hood of his hoodie. Unlike his partner, his posture was rather poor. He stood with his back hunched a bit, his hands now stuffed within his hoodie pockets and an utterly pissed off expression playing upon his features. Despite his expression and attitude, he held no ill-will towards her, he simply didn't like the air around her. It has a horrid stench, the kind of stench that one would expect from a person that had their head shoved up their ass. Yet, at the same time, he could discern from her scent that, much like his own attitude, her's was more or less a front.


“Shut up. Don't order me around ya stupid ass human.”He snapped angrily as he carried onward into the forest. He wasted little time in running head first into what was sure to become danger. Aaron didn't give a damn about the girl in trouble, nor did he give a damn about the reward, all he carried about was kicking some ass. He couldn't help but think back to his previous job with Simon. The more he thought about it the more pissed off he became. He was generally just pissed off at himself for letting a Vulcan kick his ass like that. While he would rather be off settling his score with those particular Vulcan, he would settle for crushing these ones instead.

Orin looked over her shoulder at Aaron, a calm smile still playing upon her lips. "A sir is a polite way of addressing someone you do not know." she said as she walked calmly along the forest floor. She knew her calm and polite demeanor would vanish the moment she got into a fight, which would happen in just a few minutes, she was sure. Not only that, but Aaron might get hurt... Oh, that wouldn't be a good thing.

"Oh? People call you monster too? And yes, Orin. I suppose we're just a tad similar. Only a bit." she said as she turned to give a warm smile over to her partner. "And I'm not a human." she said, her cat ears and two tails flicking here and there. "I'm a cat."

Without saying anything further, she took her last step, bringing her feet together and looking just off to the side of the road they were on. "You can come out now, by the way. You're not very sneaky." she said with a bit of a harsh tone as she addressed the creature that was following them. She was sure it was a vulcan, as it was making quite the ruckus just to the right of them and in the bushes. "Next time, you could at least hide from us to give us trouble instead of making it easy and coming to us."

And that was when the creature came out of the bushes, showing itself to the two guild members who would then proceed to, most likely, murder it.

Aaron scoffed at her claim of their being similar. “They aren't wrong ya know? I am a Monster. . .” he said pausing as he tried to hold his composure. “. . but the guild, they accepted me as I am.” he said as lowered his hood revealing his horns. While he would never openly admit to it, to Aaron, being accepted into Fairy Tail had put his mind at ease, it was like he had gotten his family back. The whole time they had been walking and talking Aaron had been watching the bushes to the right. He has caught hold of the scent earlier. Whatever it was had been watching him earlier when he had woken up.

Aaron snickered as he heard his partner belittling the onlooker. “Good. I'da be disappointed if ya hadn't noticed the fucker.” He said cracking his knuckles, with each pop released from his knuckles his pyro-explosive flames flickered around his hands. “Yo. Orin, you hang back. This fucker and I have a score to settle.” Aaron said cockily as a rather malicious grin spread upon his features. He was beginning to get excited. “Bring it on big guy.” He said as he held out his right hand and motioned for the Vulcan to bring it on.

Despite his gauding he didn't wait for the Vulcan to charge him. Instead he had chosen to meet the Vulcan half-way. The Vulcan charging at him full speed. Aaron's cocky demeanor held steady as he dashed towards the Vulcan. The males fists now emanating an abnormal red and black aura that quickly shifted into a haze-like flame. Aaron grinned as the Vulcan made motion to grab him up only to be met with Aaron headbutting the beast. Aaron springing back a few feet. “Damn. The hell is your head made out of?” He snapped angrily at the vulcan as he rubbed his head.

Soon Aaron and the Vulcan went in for round two. Unlike the previous round, Aaron had now gathered up enough magic power that he wouldn't have to resort to a half-assed headbutt as a testament to his strength. Aaron ducking down as the Vulcan swung its right arm in an arc-like motion trying to bat him aside. “Dumbass. That ain't gonna cut it.” He muttered angrily before sending a rather vicious uppercut into the Vulcan's stomach. Aaron fist having already been shrouded in the abnormal haze-like flames set off an explosion upon impact. This explosion sending both combatants recoiling backwards. Aaron scowled some when he saw how little damage the eight foot explosion had caused.

“Oi,oi, you're kidding, right? You're about to hurt my feelings ya piece of shit.” Aaron snapped out of annoyance as he took off towards the Vulcan once more. Once more he managed to dodge the Vulcan's swing, but instead of an uppercut he leapt upwards and punched the Vulcan point blank in the face his pyro-explosive flames spread outwards upon the point of impact engulfing the Vulcan's head before exploding. The Vulcan recoiling as it howled out in annoyance and pain.

“Not done yet.” Aaron said as he followed after the Vulcan. This time he was forced to dodge to the right and unlike the previous rounds he just narrowly missed taking the blow head on. “Dangerous ain't ya?” He asked before lunging forward, dropping to the ground he would narrowly miss a secondary strike. Aaron lashign out against the Vulcan with a devasting barrage of attacks. The male throwing first a right, then a left and back to a right. Each punch he threw leeching more and more his pyro-explosive flames onto the Vulcan's fur. The last and tenth punch dealt setting off the explosion. The combined number of punches and the mass of flames producing a larger explosion that he was usually capable of at his current level. The smoke soon clearing from the aftermath of the explosion to reveal Aaron standing, his much smaller frame holding the wait of the now knocked out Vulcan. He would with seeming ease fling the Vulcan off of his being and onto the ground.

Orin grinned when she saw how easily Aaron took down the vulcan, but unfortunately the girl was nowhere in sight. They'd just have to keep going. Well, they would have to after Orin took care of the vulcan that was sneaking up on her. Whilst Aaron had been distracted with the other vulcan, another had started creeping up on her. And just like the other one, it was not quiet or stealthy in it's ways.

"You're all the same..." she muttered, an angry undertone apparent in her voice. Without hesitation, she placed the tips of her nails against her skin and dug them in violently, moaning as she did so. Blood soon began to flow from the wounds she had given herself, her face turning a little pinkish from how good it felt to her. The vulcan tried to grab her, to which she responded by jumping up and landing on the vulcans arm, spinning around and flicking her blood in it's face. Shortly afterwards, Orin jumped off of the vulcan as it brought its hands up to its face, screaming very loudly in pain. Should Aaron look down to the wounds Orin gave herself, he would see that the blood that was dripping was literally steaming just from being exposed to air. It was that hot.

"Oh? Can you not handle the heat?" she said with an evil grin. "Then I doubt you'll be able to handle this." she said, before the blood on her arm created a long gash that ran halfway up her forearm. The cut was deep, allowing the blood to flow from her arm quickly and freely. But it didn't just flow. It spurted from her arm like a fountain, covering the vulcan in lava hot blood that burned away at its skin. It tried to cover itself, but only ended up getting more blood on it by spreading it around. It could only howl in pain more and run away as fast as it could, barreling down trees as it did so. It's eyes were closed from when Orin flung her blood on its face so it couldn't see where it was going. It didn't even mind running through trees, as long as it wasn't getting lava blood sprayed on its face.

"Good, it's gone." she said, using her magic to stop her blood from exiting her wounds. With a flick of her unharmed wrist, the blood she had gotten everywhere returned to her body, re-entering the wound it exited from. With a cheerful giggle, she turned to Aaron and gave a warm smile. "Shall we keep going then?" she asked before continuing to walk down the path.

Aaron watched with slight confusion and disdain as Orin cut herself open and used his blood to handle the Vulcan. “And people call me fucked in the head. . .” He muttered to himself as he watched the Vulcan run off. Aaron off of pure instinct found himself compelled to chase after the Vulcan, as he ran he ripped off his shoes and threw them towards Orin. “Watchem' for me, ya idiot.” He snapped angrily at her. The instinct driving this decision was not one any human holds, it was much more primal, it was the kind of drive that one could only acquire from living in Sin. Aaron letting this animalistic side take full control soon found himself on all fours running after the Vulcan.

Unlike with a human, this act of dropping to all fours held no impedment upon his speed or ability to make use of the forest. Aaron lunged towards a tree his hands seeming to act like claws allowing him to scale one of the falling trees. A malicious grin forming upon his maw as he jumped from falling tree to falling tree. Soon enough he had caught up to the raging Vulcan. “Whata' pain the ass.” He mutter out of annoyance as he allowed the red and black haze to flow from his arms. The haze gathering around his appendages his hoodies sleeves being reduced to ashes in mere seconds.

As the sleeves burned away the transformation started to take root. The first noticeable change being that his skin had burned away and turned in thick golden fur. His muscles swelling and becoming more pronounced as his hands shifted and turned into claws. Aaron smirked as he gathered the residual haze around his forearms. The haze seemed to swirl around his arms and finally take on a flame-like appearance. The red and black flames flickering to life wildly around his arms as he leapt into the air. He clasped his transformed fists together, drawing his arms upwards and behind his head. He would wait until he was right above the fleeing Vulcan, his arms swinging downward. Aaron would rather brutally slam his clasped fists down upon the tip of the Vulcan's cranium effectively hurling the beast head first into the ground. The impact of his fists upon the head of the Vulcan, given their current form resulting in an explosion that would hit with twice the damage. The first flame filled explosion being set off by his right fist, while the second explosion was set off by his left fist.

Aaron hit the ground sliding on all-fours the ground being ripped up by the sheer force of the slide. His teeth having taken on a more fanged appearance. His canine's no longer being the only well pronounced and elongated teeth within his mouth. His horns seeming to have grown extensively. They now peaked off at six inches and had a slight curvature to them. His sclera having turned pitch black while his pupils narrowed, shrinking as they became more focused. He had a cocky grin upon his visage as he saw the Vulcan begin to pull itself from the ground. “Bring it on ya fucker.” He snapped at the Vulcan who roared at his angrily in response his challenge.

Aaron drawing himself up off the ground a smirk forming upon his maw. “Good. I managed to get that shitty blood off your ugly ass mug!!” He cheered excitedly as he charged forth. He gave the Vulcan enough time to recover from the blow he had dealt it before he began dishing out a new set of blows. This time he simply threw one vicious explosive right and left hook after another into the Vulcan's face. By the time he reached the seventh punch the Vulcan had already blacked out. He watched as the Vulcan fell to the ground. The Vulcan's face burned badly blood gushing from its face profusely.

Aaron stood there panting heavily. “Stupid bastard making me chase him like that.” He grumbled angrily as he began to kick the fallen Vulcan. “Damn it. Now I'm lost. This is all that stupid Orin's fault.” He grumbled out of annoyance as his arms reverted to their usual state. If one looked close enough they would notice that his arms were covered in nicks and cuts. The end result of the back to back explosion's recoils. “Oh well. Guess I should find someone else to beat up.” He said as he began walking deeper into the forest.

Breakdown:

Orin sighed and followed Aaron, running after him at a leisurely pace. She didn't really see the need to waste her energy when they haven't even found what they were looking for. The cat girl just shook her head as she followed the trail of destruction that Aaron left behind. It took about five minutes for her to catch up to Aaron and see what he had done to the vulcan. "Aaron!" she called out, giving chase once more. "Where do you think you are going? We have not completed the job!" she shouted as she chased after him, leaping over the debris and vulcan with ease. She was about to catch up to him, when she was cut off by another vulcan. "Oh? I see you are trying to irritate me." she said, the wounds on her wrists and arms reopening so the blood could pour out. "Then I suppose I will dispose of you quickly. Unfortunately for you, that means this is going to hurt. A lot." she said before her blood started floating around her. With a sigh, Orin quickly went to work disposing of the vulcan.

It reached down to grab her and she didn't even move. The vulcan wrapped it's hands around her and lifted her up, holding her in front of it's face. It stared at her with a perverted grin, pulling it closer to her as it puckered up it's lips for a kiss. The only thing it would hear before it got it's wish to kiss Orin was "Die."

In that instant, blood exploded outwards from her body in a fountain of lava hot blood. The vulcan dropped her and started screaming at the top of it's lungs. It was deafening, Orin found, so she'd have to do this even quicker. With a sigh, more blood became forming in the air around her from the blood she was levitating. Her figure wasn't visible anymore, as the steam from the blood was obscuring her figure. Slowly, Orin began to walk towards the Vulcan, a wheel of blood forming in front of her. "I apologize dearly." she said, lifting her hand to point at the vulcan. The wheel of blood began spinning at high speeds, it's sharp edges looking deadly even from a distance. "But now you must die." she said before flicking her wrist towards the vulcan. The circular blade of blood flew towards the vulcan and sliced into it, piercing the skin so it was bleeding, but only barely. The thing must have had some tough skin. It didn't matter. It was bleeding now, and that was all that mattered. With a snap of her fingers, the blood that leaked from the vulcan caught fire, and soon the blood inside it was on fire. It continued to scream and cry as its insides literally began melting, and it took half a minute before it finally collapsed to the ground dead. With a sigh, the blood around her either vanished or re-entered the wounds on her arms, which proceeded to close up immediately.

Orin walked over to Aaron now, finally catching up to him. "Now you realize why I am a monster too." she said with a calming smile. "I do not have fancy transformations or anything, no impressive spells or effects... just burning and death. Lots and lots of burning and death." she said before continuing to walk into the forest. "I believe the creature came from this way. We have been here long enough, so it would be a good idea to finish this job and move on, yes?" she said, continuing to walk past Aaron and move deeper into the forest.

Orin frowned as she watched Aaron pummel the poor creature into unconsciousness, and she put her hand up to cover her mouth to hide her frown from Aaron. He probably wouldn't like it if she said something about what he had done. He did seem to love violence after all. And apparently he'd get more of it, as two vulcans and several of the smaller demon creatures surrounded them.

"Hm... I suppose I could leave the bigger vulcan and half of the little ones to you? To me, you seem like one of those people who strives to find a challenging fight, so I suppose letting you have the bigger one would be a good choice. No?" she said, blood beginning to pour like waterfalls from the cuts on her arms, as well as forming in the air around her. It steamed and seemed as hot as lava, and it even bubbled too. The creatures came at the two, making Orin smile just a little bit. "To be honest, I like fighting too. If only a little." she mumbled to herself as the creatures converged on them. Orin pointed at the smaller, lesser vulcan and a sword of blood formed in her hand. The smaller creatures leapt at her, but with a few strokes of her sword they were easily dispatched. All that was left was the vulcan. It kicked at her and she side stepped, slashing at its heel and then cutting it's other leg when she stepped towards it. The vulcan fell forwards and she slipped underneath its legs to avoid being crushed.

"Apologies." Orin said as she jumped onto the vulcan's back. "I do hope you have a peaceful slumber." she said before she pierced it's brain with her sword of lava hot blood. And now all that was left were the creatures targeting Aaron.
