    here’s how things work:

Naruto stepped on a dirt path. It led to a tower, supposedly full of legends and myths about worshippers of the Sun, something rather hard to believe. Looking around, the woods and the animals all looked just as usual, the birds singing as they perched onto the tree branches, all like how a forest should turn out. The sun, in the other hand was quite bright that day, the peaceful blows of the gentle gusts of winds sweeping past the blonde man’s cheeks as he stood, idle. “Well, I should wait for someone else, I guess.” Naruto said to himself, nodding in agreement after. It had been his first job since the one that involved the legendary Sky Tower, and had been telling stories about it ever since he returned home upon completing his adventure there.

Knowing he can’t possibly just improve by one little journey, Naruto decided that it was time to start taking on jobs again like usual, hence the place he was headed to at the moment. There was a dirt path leading to the tower where he should complete his job’s task for the day, the one he was stepping on with his two legs. Naruto wondered if the job brief written on the job flyer was actually the full truth, as things about someone getting lost in somewhere then not wanting to go home to stay sounded absurd, to a sense. Shrugging, Naruto thought there were impossible things that were possible anyway, a lesson he learnt from the journey to the Sky Tower he had.

Before starting the next part of his plan, he thought it would be a good idea to test himself by taking on a relatively more difficult job than normal. If he couldn't do it, joining the Rune Knight would have to wait, but if he could, he would immediately travel to Era as soon as the job was finished. Of course, with a job needing a higher skill level of sorts, he needed someone else to assist him, somebody that was probably already waiting for him outside of the tower. The last time I was here I learned to control chaos... I wonder what sort of impossibilities are going to happen there today he thought as he made his way down the dirt path that led to the big tower that was built seemingly in a completely random place.

Sure enough, somebody was waiting for him outside the tall doors of the Mystical Tower, a blonde haired man that for one reason or another, seemed awfully familiar. He walked up to the man casually and looked at the shadow he was casting, looks like I'm a late. I shouldn't have taken the scenic route for memory's sake. Shaku regretted ever making other people wait, but with no way to go back in time, he just had to settle for it. Outstretching his hand towards his partner on the job, he introduced himself "I'm Shaku from Tartarus, pleasure to meet you. Looks like we're partners on this job". He actually preferred working with legal mages as opposed to dark mages on jobs, since most of the dark mages he came across were egotistical, asocial, insane, you name it. Legal mages had some of that too, but not to the sheer severity as most other mages from his side of the spectrum, and he was genuinely excited to get on with the job.

Naruto waited, sighing along the way. It had been about 10 minutes since he had started waiting earlier, and there were still no signs of his supposed partner’s presence after. He stood on the same spot he was, tapping his feet, not impatience, but rather excitement. It was completely random where the tower was located, and the apparent said fact intrigued his interest in knowing more about it, completing the day’s job along. Standing in the same spot he was, Naruto soon changed his standing spot, dragging it towards under a big shady tree, the sun starting to wet his skin with his own sweat from the piling heat on him. The wait wasn’t that hurtful anyway, so Naruto decided to forgive the whoever would be his partner for the job, regardless if he or she had a good excuse or not.

Sighing, Naruto turned his head to the path leading to the tower, the scenic sight sapping away his attention from the reality. A simple pat, however brought him straight to the reality soon after. Turning around, Naruto could see a man, black haired, nice pair of eyes and all, quite the girl’s favourite type, maybe? Smiling, Naruto decided to leave a good first impression of him on the man, replying his introduction after. “Oh, the name’s Tamao. Tamao Naruto. You from Tartarus? A dark guild?” Naruto paused, thinking for a short moment. “Well, it’s rare to see a gutsy dark mage like you.. Hah whatever, it’s not that I’d sell you to the council or something. I’m from Fairy Tail,” Offering a handshake as he spoke; “Nice to meet you, Shaku, wasn’t it?” Giving off a sincere smile, all Naruto wanted was a good adventure for the day, and to be able to complete the day’s job with a well ending.

“Oh, the name’s Tamao. Tamao Naruto. You from Tartarus? A dark guild? Well, it’s rare to see a gutsy dark mage like you.. Hah whatever, it’s not that I’d sell you to the council or something. I’m from Fairy Tail” he responded to his blunt declaration of being from a dark guild, curious. Naruto returned the handshake and assured him that he wouldn't be 'selling' him out to the Magic Council or the Rune Knights. "Thanks, I appreciate that" Shaku said, feeling that he should thank the man for not making his life more complicated and difficult than it had to be. The fact that he wouldn't turn me in says some things. Like that he doesn't generalize dark mages, which is a good thing. He seems aware that some aren't just maniacal killers with a god complex and a mental disorder. Maybe I can even get him to join me like I did with the girl from Eclipse Soul...

Excited at the notion that he could potentially recruit a new member to his crusade, a smile emerged on his face. He quickly got over this and continued with the task at hand, which is why they were here, after all. Shaku walked towards the old stone doors and pushed it open, his hand pressed against the cold, slimy moss that had grown from years of neglect. You'd think a cult would take better care of their hideout... Then again, maybe it's on purpose to give the appearance of a building that has been abandoned. It's not too much of a stretch. "Let's hope the girl isn't on the top floor, I want to find her as soon as possible" he said, not turning his head to look at his partner who was behind him. He knew that danger could strike at any moment, and he was ready for it.

“Sure man. No problems.” Naruto nodded in reply, Shaku’s gratefulness delighting him slightly. Not all dark mages are as uncool as how cliché evil people are, some of them just tend to be awesome. Knowing this, Naruto hoped that this Shaku here would be in the cool category, rather than the lame, old fashioned maniacal laughing dark mages as Naruto knew. Sighing, Naruto kept his mouth shut, observing the momentary blank the man Shaku went through for a short moment. It seemed that he was having his own thought, maybe planning something? Shrugging, Naruto didn’t want to care, all he wished was that whatever he was planning, it better not be any lame ‘I will destroy everything mwahaha’ kind of plan. If, he was thinking of a plan anyway.

“Well, anyway, let’s get on the job?” There was no reply given, Shaku was already in front of the door to the tower. The moss seemed disturbing, whoever was there intended the place to look like how it was; abandoned. Not turning his head to the blonde man, Shaku pushed the door open, looking prepared for any danger that might befall them any time now. Naruto sighed, things are getting too cliché. “Oh please, not this danger alert scene.” Naruto walked right into the tower, leaving the alerted Shaku behind. There was actually nothing too dangerous, though it was still a bit dark. All went well when suddenly Naruto fell down onto the ground. “..!!”

It was then revealed that it was just a rock. Naruto trip on a rock, hence the sudden fall. “Cliché, but still needed.” Referring to the ‘be prepared’ thing, Naruto sighed, getting back onto his legs. Hoping Shaku won’t have a laugh, Naruto coughed a couple of times, pretending to get all serious after. “All right then, time to get serious.” Slightly blushing, Naruto turned away, embarrassed.
