    The Job:



    Well Oak was a boring town, minus the chick that gave Faust some jewels for just finding a ring on the ground. He left immediately and headed straight for the train station. The train ride to Clover would not be too long a few stops here and there and he would be right there. Clover was home to a fancy guild called Blue Pegasus. The guild was one of the strongest legal guilds in all of Fiore. Faust was semi nervous to enter the town but the thrill of it somehow made it all the more fun. He sat on the train waiting for the train to reach Clover but it would have to go through another town before that would happen. The town that the train had to go through was the town of Era, the Head Quarters of the Magic Council, a ground that was not too fond of him or his guild mates after they attacked Magnolia.

    The train stopped in the town allowing a few people to get on and off, lucky for Faust no Rune Knights seemed to come on to check people on the train. After the people got settled and had their ticket stub punched the train was off at a slow but steady pace. The scenery fly by the windows and the sun was beginning to set slightly into the hillside. Faust leaned on his arm and sighed, this train trip was rather dull. He almost wanted to just teleport off the train and go roam around in the woods for a while until he got bored. That plan would be satisfying if there were stronger beast in the woods rather than bears and lions he wanted to fight something big and strong. Faust had felt that he had been working rather hard lately and was getting close to actually achieving a breakthrough in his magic. His mastery over teleportation was improving greatly he could be on the verge of becoming a stronger mage.

    The trained neared Clover and Faust knew that he needed to get ready to get off. He wanted to check out a small bit of the town before he went to a hotel, Clover town was rather quaint looking, a very mountain town that had prospered greatly due to Blue Pegasus’ wealth and fame. People came from far and wide to see the guild hall and join its ranks. The trained slowed down to a halt and Faust once again exited the train. As he exited the train a flyer flew up and hit him right in the face. He read it over and headed over to the home to fix the roof and get rid of a pesky dog. The house would be a few blocks away from the train station but thanks to the map on the flyer he would find it rather quickly, a few turns and he would be at the home in no time. As he approached the home he wondered if the dog would show itself or would he be able to just get through with no problem.

    As Faust walked up to the home he seemed to have walked straight into a group of gnats and flies. He swatted the bugs away and used his Arctic Aura spell to cause the temperature to drop in the area hoping to kill off all the flies in one go. If he was not able to kill them all at once he would just have to try a different method along with proceeding into the yard to try to get on top of the roof to fix that leak. There was some materials in the yard past the bugs he could see a ladder, several pieces of wood, nails, and a hammer. All the things one would need in order to fix a roof. The flyer had pointed out where at on the roof the leak was so Faust just needed to go up there and patch that area. He just needed to get past these stupid bugs first.

    It seemed that the flies and gnats seemed to have lived despite his spell’s attack his aura still radiated off of him The flies would have to follow Faust and brave the cold or give up because Faust was nothing to let a bunch of bugs ruin his job. Faust’s pace did not slow down. He went straight for the ladder putting it in place where it would be nearest to the leak. The ladder was not too heavy but an awkward shape to carry making it kind of annoying to get into place. Once it was set up he had to drag the plywood to the roof and sat it up there while he would go back down to retrieve the hammer and nails to that he could fix the leak. Once all the materials were up there he went to work. He easily found the leak and set a piece of wood over the area. He then grabbed the hammer and nails and begun to nail the wood into place. He made sure that the whole area was covered before he went back down.

    The gnats still seemed to live even after being around Faust’ presences for so long, he was beginning to wonder if these were normal gnats after all. Faust cupped his hands causing a flurry of snow to fill the area. This would cause his aura spell to grow in strength and bring the temperature down even more so than it already was brought down. His aura would be flickering away soon and he wanted to deal with these pesky bugs before it did so or he was going to have to start swatting them with his own hands. The flurries took over the whole area covering the home with a light dusting. It brought on a bit of the holiday cheer in Faust mind. Christmas season was coming upon them fast and soon. As Faust walked through the snow storm he could not help but to actually swing at a fly flies that had somehow found him in the snow. He swing a total of two times at these bugs hoping to kill them and be on his way from the job.

    With the bugs dead and the roof fixed Faust walked off into the distances of the street. He did no look past him but as he walked snow fell causing Clover to have an early visit of winter and ol Jack Frost. He walked down the streets whistling a rather somber tone, an old mourning song from back in the day. As he walked he passed up a few people who gawked at his magic radiating off of him. No it was not that strong, nor was it a powerful spell, but the combo of the two got the attention, the snow even colder from the aura, the aura even stronger because of the snow they complemented each other rather well. He headed off to the next place of his choosing, Magnolia town, the place where he hoped to be able to finally gain the strength he needed to become somewhat of a threat.
