Stealing some fudge [closed mission]

Rain poured on the miserable cobble streets of Peace Village. It had been this way for the past few days. It had caused minor flooding to occur in the town’s lower levels but most of the town being built on top of a hill meant a good majority of them would be safe and dry from the floods, at least for the time being. As Faust walked he held a large black umbrella over his head, he was wearing a black leather, long coat, blue jeans, a cyan blue colored t shirt, and black leather dress shoes. He walked with a bit of a haste in his step. He had been lost in these streets for the past twenty minutes and was growing rather annoyed of this town. He had rarely been to this village due to its rather puny economy or significance on the world. The town was more or less used for a vacation spot for families and mages. Faust had been up and down the streets a dozen times it seemed. He had seen the same stupid flower and chocolate shop at least six times. He would stop and ask somebody for directions but it seemed that the rain had kept most people inside, somewhere he was wishing he was at now.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper that had some minor directions on it.


After rereading it again for the tenth time Faust folded the paper back into his pocket and walked down the street again. This time he took a right turn at the end of the street followed by a left, right, then another left. At this point he was now in a new area that was unfamiliar looking to him. He used his nose to smell out the smell of chocolate in the air to help him find the place, he figured if its neighbor building was called the Fudgery then it would have to do something with chocolate.

Even with the rain washing away most the scent Faust was still able to smell the faint sweetness of chocolate, a personal favorite type of food for Faust. The building was somewhere near him but was still a block or two over. He immediately picked up his pace and let go of the umbrella allowing it to go blow in the wind, as he did so he activated a white aura around himself which instantly causes the rain to freeze and become snow around him which he quickly inhaled giving himself a small burst of stamina. Now that the rain was snow the scent was much clearer, he could tell the place was only a few streets over. As he ran down the street he saw the sign, Sandy Court, he knew that he was here….finally. He ran onto the street seeing a rather quaint cottage looking building with his clients name on it, the building beside it was a much larger and grander building with the name The Fudgery written write on it.

Faust walked over to the Fudgery looking into the widow, the second page of the request spoke about breaking into this place and stealing a recipe from the owner who was out of town at the time. As he looked in his saw a small back door at said office on them. Faust smirked, this was going to be child’s play if even that. The man slipped his hands into his coat pocket instantly teleporting into the building. Walked over to the office door, as he did so his aura caused frost to form over all room and the window. Faust opened up the door to reveal a room with a single desk and a file cabinet. Faust opened up the file cabinet flipping through the files until he found the one that he was searching for, the fudge recipe. He grabbed the folder, slammed the file cabinet shut and walked out of the room shutting the door. He teleported instantly again outside of the glass and was heading his merry way over to finish this job.

Faust walked over to the man’s house. All the lights were out minus a small light in the very back. He knocked a short rhythmic 5 knock pattern and waited for the man to come out and greet him. For a moment he wondered if he should knock again after the man did not show but right as he was about to knock he heard the creak of footsteps walking down the stairs, a moment later he saw a shadow of movement from the light in the back. The man was wearing his nightgown and looked rather dazed. Faust flashed the papers and the man soon realized what he meant. The man quickly darted to the back again before opening the door for Faust. When he returned he had a small envelope in his hands, Faust reward most likely. When he opened the door he took the file and handed the envelope to Faust without saying a word. He quickly turned around and slammed the door on Faust, slightly ticking off the Ice Demon. He rolled his eyes and turned around walking down the street, snow still falling gracefully around him. Peace Village might not realize it yet but a demon had roamed its streets tonight.
