Alexander Faust’s Snow Top Mountain Chalet
- Báilián Huāshān (White Lotus Mountain):
- Báilián Huāshān (White Lotus Mountain) is a mountain that is found in the far northern range of mountains that Mount Hakobe is in. The mountain is nestled right night to the largest mountain in the northern part of the range. The two mountain were nicknamed the linked brothers due to the fact that they were connected and shared many paths and cavern systems. The mountain that Faust has set up as his home is located on the smaller of the two mountains which he named White Lotus Mountain due to the gentle snow that falls. The mountain is rather tall measuring at a height at its top peak of 18,505 feet, 5640.33 meters. The mountain forms a minor valley at its base, though there is less snow here it is still often common even in the summer months. During the spring and the fall the valley gets a light dusting normally having anywhere from 1-3 inches of snow, during the winter the valley’s snow can get upwards to 1-2 feet deep if strong enough winds carry it from the mountain.
The mountain is mainly covered in patches of grass and other plants that can grow in the cold temperatures, though rare there are a few. Evergreen trees and some minor brush can be found on the mountain until about halfway up, where the stairs break away from the forest and twist through the larger mountain’s path. The lower valley and lower base of the mountain have few paths that cut in and out of the area, along with various homes of small families that prefer the simple mountain life. Livestock is often kept by these people as are small gardens for the short summer months. Most of the people are settled in the valley where the evergreen pines and other winter trees are sparse and the soil is a bit less rocky. In this area there are few wild animals that roam the area mainly, deer, rabbits, birds of all kinds, squirrels, and the occasional bear or mountain lion, stray packs of wolves that have wondered into the mountains have been known to be spotted, every few years the valley does have the grave misfortune of a beast from the larger mountain to wonder down the Èmó de Iǐchuí, The Demon’s Spine. The valley and lower base of the mountain is home to many caverns and cave networks that often ran through the surrounding mountain network, few have braved these caverns and returned alive though many have attempted to map them.
As one travels up the mountain they will reach a forest made of evergreen pines and brush. Here wild hunt is more plentiful, bear, deer, and mountain lions are common sites but squirrels and rabbits are also more common, all the game in this area also tend to be slightly larger than the valley’s area. Few live in the woods due to the large number of bears and mountain lions but those that due have often said it makes them feel free and accomplished with their lives. At the break of the forest is the start of the real Demon’s Spine, an intense hike to the top of the mountain where a large fortress protected by the mountain range itself. The area past the forest is a steep hike with winds reaching speeds of nearly 90 mph, records are up in the low 100 teens, causing avalanches, blinding snow storms, and -20 C at night. Along this path there is no animals or plants found in the valley minus an occasional frozen tree or shrub that has been frozen in time on the mountain. What is found up here are beast that have evolved to survive in the harsh mountain’s artic environment. The creatures are often times away from the Demon’s Spine and up higher in the larger mountain they do come down from time to time and prey on those that are traveling. Few hidden caverns are found around this area, hot springs are also found in various areas around and near the path. Some parts of the path is built upon the hot springs so that the stairs do not have ice form on them.
As one nears the location of Faust’s home caverns are frequent as are hot springs, the area surrounding the chalet up to 200 meters will be only covered in a light snow similar to the valley. The area will be a rocky mountain side that is covered with nearly an inch of snow at all times, no matter the season this is about the most that it will ever gather due to the hot springs heating up the area. The chalet overlooks a direct line sight to the valley and on a clear day one can see right down to it. The chalet has a perfect 360 degree view of the top of the mountain allowing for optimal views and tactical location.- Báilián Huāshān{White Lotus Mountain}:

- The chalet is actually a group of multiple buildings and outdoor structures that are on top of several smaller tips of the mountain actually rising up. The areas are connected by sturdy bridges made of wood and rope enchanted to be able to withstand the wind and low temperatures of the mountain, as is most of the buildings and their foundations. The buildings/structures are mainly about the size of an average house each, six in total with a large one the size of a small guild building or palace at the back of the cluster. The six buildings/structures are: two living residencies, one half outdoor half indoor training/exercising/ gym area, one meeting area/ library, one food storage/large dining hall and the final normal sized building is an armory. The large building is Faust’ actual own residency.
Faust found this mountain range early on in his time in Fiore. He stayed in the mountains for a little while practicing his Ice Demon Slayer magic and befriending the wildlife that roamed the mountain. Faust was able to gain respect among the beast that lived in the area from the valley up to the top of the Demon’s Spine. The creatures allow Faust safe passage along with those that have his blessing, usually a token that symbolized the chalet and allowed the creatures to know who they were. Faust believed that the area would make a perfect location for a nice safe base of operation, it would be a long trek up a rigorous and harsh mountain along with an environment that made Faust feel at home. The mountains have dozens and dozens of cave networks running throughout the whole area that Faust was able to easily navigate with the help of his new animal friends, this would let Faust easily get to the top of the mountain at a fraction of the hiking trek.
Faust used the rocks that he found on the mountain along with several material that was magically enchanted to allow for the builds to survive brittle winters and strong winds, even blocking winds to the point of gentle breezes, and the harsh blizzards to light snow falls. The buildings are all about the width of 100 meters x 100 meters, the large one that is Faust main building is about four times the average buildings’ width and five times their height. The buildings are cloistered in a fashion where three of the buildings are wrapped on the outer ring, they are in a circular fashion following the Demon’s Spine. The first building is connected to the Spine’s rock formation, each building is connected by a bridge that are about 10 meters in length and 3 in width, the bridges can hold a weight up to roughly 600 pounds. The buildings each site on top of a rock formation that is roughly 150 meters in radius (all different shapes and sizes), the main building is seated upon a formation roughly the size of 500 meters. The formations that the buildings are built upon, including the large jagged rock walls that have at least one cave system entrance and the natural hot spring runoff. The jagged rock walls often protect the building from the area where the wind would be hitting the harshest.
The path leading up to the chalet is a rocky and snowy staircase. There is small guard outpost and courtyard. The area has two large massive jade doors that can be slammed shut blocking off the chalet from strangers while Faust is away or has the area under lock and key. The doors weigh roughly a ton and are nearly impossible to budge without using the opening lever on the opposite side. If the gates are open a person can see a rocky peak that has several buildings dotting its top in a circular fashion that has the main center building near the center of the area overlooking the valley.
These first three buildings in the chain is: the main dinning hall/ storage area, followed by the male housing area, with the female housing building being the third. The main dining hall is a white, green, and tile building with gold ascents. The building has a massive double, red, circular door. The building is circular in shape that is roughly between two-three stories tall. The buildings’ main entrance is the large mess hall that has three large oak tables formed in a partial square fashion with a large hearth in the center. Surrounding the main tables are small kitchens and bar areas that are used throughout the hall. The main dining room plus the kitchens take up about a third of the building’s space the final fourth of the building is left for storage on food and other main necessities for the chalet as a whole. The building has no windows and only one door in from the front and one door out from the back, this is to add even more security and defense. The door that leads to the inner chalet from the back of the storage area and main hall is at the back of the dining area that is right behind Faust’s own chair. The door is always locked and needs permission to enter the inner area. If the door is unlocked will lead down a hall way that will dip down into the mountain’s rocks and pop out on a small area that has the bridge leading to the next area.
The housing buildings are nearly identical in every way. They are both roughly 100 meters in diameter 10 meters tall. Each building hold 6 rooms, each large enough to fit a bed, dresser, and desk. The rooms are fashioned in a spoke manner with three main hallways. There was a main hallway that led to the inside of the housing area and to the main commons area in the building that had a small kitchenette, table, sofas, and chairs. There are three bathrooms found in each building, one on each hallway.
There are two bridges that connect each housing building to another building directly across the peak. The one opposite to the male’s is the gym/ training area that held a small outdoor sparing area while there was a large gym on the inside with dummies and weights. The building opposed to the girl’s is the library which holds a rather large collection on multiple topics. A final bridge connects the gym to Faust’ own building which is massive compared to the others standing at a height of at least 10 stories tall. The building mimics the looks of the other buildings, circular, white/green tile and gold fixtures. The building holds Faust’ own private home which has his own room, 5 guest rooms, large kitchen, private study/ large office, small personal gym, emergency food and other needs storage, and several other rooms that could be used for various purposes.- Buildings outside the main hall:
