- Clementine Rosa Alvarez was born to a young mother in the slums of Neutral Grounds. From the moment she took her first breath, her mother resented the child. She had become pregnant way too young and didn't have the means to prevent the pregnancy. She still took care of Clem, but didn't play with her, talk to her, or enrich her life in any way. As she grew older, Clem began to catch on to her mother's opinion of her. She remained quiet and stayed out of her mother's way as much as she could. There was never any anger or yelling, just silent glares of resentment. Clem was the cause of their strife in her mother's eyes, and she knew it. The two did everything they could to get by. Stealing, rooting through garbage, and in her mother's case, soliciting men for money. It was a difficult life to live. Clem learned how to steal and immediately wolfed down any food she could find. If one didn't eat their food as soon as possible, it could be stolen or go bad.
When Clem was 12, her mother fell pregnant again, much to her dismay. The girl became frustrated with her mother and decided to join a gang to help provide for her despicable mother and future sibling. The group welcomed her with open arms, and taught her even more intensely in the ways of the street. For once, Clem was getting enough food and money to get by. Her mother was actually not disappointed in her. Things seemed to be looking up.
On what would be her final heist, one of the gang members killed someone right before Clem's eyes. The vision scarred the young one, and she swore to never participate in such things again in her life. The gang leader warned her that if they saw her on the streets at night again, they wouldn't hesitate to kill her. She ran home to find her mother in labor. The woman was clinging to the floor and losing too much blood. There was no way to help. Clem could only watch as, like the moon, her mother's life waned before her eyes and her brand new sister's life waxed. The girl was left with a dead mother and a newborn infant, which she named Amilianna after her favorite bakery that she often stole from.
For the next 7 years, she took care of her sister to the best of her abilities. Ammi grew up loved and cared for, a stark difference to Clem's upbringing. They still had very little food or money, but the eldest tried her best to hide it. In the night, Clem began to roam the streets and spray paint. It brought her peace in the turmoil of raising a child on her own. Her main subjects were dragons, but anything went. She signed every drawing with a flourished C, yet nobody ever found out it was her. Over time, her skill increased tenfold.
The two perused the streets during the day to avoid the gang activity at night. As Ammi grew older, she learned to help her older sister trick and scam people for food and money. The two started to get by more easily, but Clem got careless. Pedestrians on the streets in the daytime began to recognize them and chase them off. One old woman called the Magic Council's Child Protection office and reported the two. They were ambushed by Rune Knights. Clem and Ammi tried to escape, but Ammi was too slow. Clem watched as they hauled her crying sister off. She never saw her again.
Clem decided to hitch a ride on the next train to get away from her awful home and the memories of her stolen sister. She had heard of people using magic in other places, but since Neutral Grounds suppressed magic, she had never seen it for herself. The 19 year old never looked back.

↠ Love - Clem has never been romantically involved with anyone. Her inexperience and trust issues make her fear falling in love, though she longs for that kind of connection deep down.
