Personality:

Jacqueline's personality is closely related to her past and magic, as she feels those are what has made her into the paranoid and distrustful woman she is today. As a child she was never accepted for who she was, showing great promise in the magical arts but unable to use the skill due to her families beliefs. Using magic had dire consequences and prices she wasn't ready to pay. Constantly having to hide what she felt was a big part of herself meant that no one would ever truly know her and to this day she feels the same way.

Once she was a girl who enjoyed helping others, doing what she could for her community in order to give thanks. That kind selfless girl was naive and foolish. She didn't know the horrors the world had to offer and when she did learn, they corrupted her. Now she is a woman struggling. Struggling with insecurities and having no choice but to push others away so that they cannot see her weaknesses, and there are many. To conceal her self-hatred she puts up a cold and calculating front, but it is just that. A front. A mask that can be torn off with just a few simple words, and the strong independent world she has made for herself, the lie, comes tumbling down.

Like a baron cornfield, Jacqueline is trying to build herself up from nothing, weave together the loose strands of straw and salvage what's left so she's not completely lost. In the corn maze called life, her attitude is a defense mechanism and she knows that she'll never find her way out, but with the walls she's building, no one will either. This is something she's accepted, that there is no escape, no end to the madness, but it's something she'd like to change at some point before she's truly disappeared into the field altogether.

Likes:

• Pumpkin Pie: One of the better memories from her childhood. Who can resist the nutmeggy sweetness of good 'ole fashion pumpkin pie!
  
• Autumn: When the leaves change colors and crisp, vibrant hues of orange, red, and yellow can be seen flying about as the trees shed their skin. That's when Jacqueline can be seen, setting up her scarecrows for the season!
  
• Rewards: After slaving away on the farm, she was always rewarded with something. Whether it be a hot meal, a new dress for mass, or love and affection from her parents. It's safe to say, she never went unrewarded and expects the same treatment.
  

Dislikes:

• Religion: One of the things that made her parents hate her and it's also one of the things Jacqueline hates the most about this world.
  
• Manual Labor: You'd expect the farm life would've taught her the values of hard work and manual labor. Well... It didn't! It only taught her nothing good comes from putting your all into something just to have it blow up in your face.
  
• Waking up early: As soon as that rooster cooed, she was expected up and out in the field doing her chores. On an empty stomach, how cruel!
  

Motivations:

• Self-Help: She knows she has problems, she acknowledges she needs help! But it's just easier if she just sweeps them under the rug...
  
• Friendship: Jacqueline didn't really have it on the farm, even if she wouldn't take a bullet for them it would be nice for someone to do it for her.
  
• Finding her tribe: Finding a place where she belongs, a place where she is wanted and valued for her eccentricity and magic!
  

Fears:

• Crows: Ironically enough, Jacqueline fears crows. Every aspect about them freaks her out. From the way they perch themselves on buildings to the way, their beady eyes watch you. They've just never settled quite well with her.
  
• Her Past: It's a well-known fact that Jacqueline's past wasn't all butterflies and daisies, but rather conformity and obedience. She fears the memory of her past coming back to haunt her... Especially her father.
  
• Mazes: How can you escape a maze when you can't even navigate your own mind? It's the idea of finding your own way out that scares Jacqueline.
