If there was no way to be what she was created to be, then 88 decided, as her very first personal decision, to rebel against what she was and all she was taught. The clone was taught to obey unquestioningly and feel nothing. She was to be only an efficient, useful tool. However, she didn't care if emotions were a hindrance. She wanted to develop them and feel them to see what they were like. She wanted to be like other people, joking and laughing and arguing. She questioned orders she was given, if only to try and grasp why it needed done or what the goal was. It wasn't an explosive display, but her quiet rejection of her previous life left room for the curious clone to grow into the bare bones of a normal girl if given enough time.

In her time with the Rune Knights, 88 further developed her identity, albeit slowly. That isn't to say she still isn't socially awkward and introverted, but her stoicism has given way to glimpses of what her friends and fellow soldiers helped mold her into. She may sometimes still be hard to read and utterly emotionless when the situation calls for it or she doesn't know what to do, but she's also able to display compassion and fierce loyalty to those who have earned their place within her roster of comrades. Friendly competitiveness drives her within groups, both for fun and for improvement. Some references or uses of sarcasm may be accidentally taken literally, but she can laugh it off or appreciate a good joke in her own muted way. She won't hesitate to offer her honesty. 88 is fascinated by creepy things and collects entirely too many knives and says weird things. Her humor, though in its infancy, is dry/wry/dark humor. Her expressions are often serious but polite, though she does blush easily.

One of her biggest flaws is that, though she is by no means a leader and needs someone to follow, she also tends to have a mind of her own with some orders depending on the order and who gave it. If she sees a better way around that is more efficient, she might very possibly do it her way instead.
