Personality:
“A friend of mine, Gangting an Earth Demon Slayer, with each step of his, the very ground below would tremble at his sheer might.” ~Johann on Gangting and Slayers.

Gangting was born as a peasant, under the name Qiang, and was a warrior. This made him rather manner less and rough even thoughts he became a king.  But his status has given him a new sense of himself, he grew less patient and some things are above his standards to do. He isn’t fast insulted but when angered, he will go berserk. He doesn’t see himself standing above his friends and thus, he treats them as equals to him except that he does stand higher in command. The commoners didn’t have to bow to him or any of that but were required to show immense respect to him. Gangting did saw himself more and more equal to the gods them self. Which was his downfall but restored his mind after being defeated by the god Tudigong and from that point he was buried in stone. Gangting lost most of his arrogance after his downfall but still, some see's himself as a (lesser) god. He does still want to reclaim his kingdom and save everyone from demons and other monsters. He did try to retake his kingdom, alone and that was his mistake. He died at steps of his palace, so close to victory. It was Johann learned of his death and found a way to bring him back from Hell. Death had taught Gangting a lesson and it changed him. He knows he is not invincible and needs others to retake his kingdom. He will henceforth make more allies and even joined a guild.

Gangting was from a young age a very capable warrior and commander. Thus, he had not a lot of people who gave him commands, therefor he doesn’t listen to other’s that well except when people give him advise, then he might follow up on it. A second reason for not following others is because he studied under a war god of strategy and tactics. This gave him the feeling that none other on earth would be as a good commander as him.
Gangting has fought many battles, on his own, with a small army fighting skirmishes or with a massive armies’ in epic battles and long sieges. Gangting is large and fast with kicking but he is very cumbersome. So, he won’t always hit his target. He mostly goes on a rampage against the enemy destroying anything in his path if he can hit them. Gangting can get blinded by his berserker rage and then lose the difference between his foes and friends. This can lead to massive loses on his own side.
That doesn’t really sound like the type that can lead an army effectively. But he does. He uses his Earth Demon Sense’s to feel the vibrations in the ground to make a visual sketch of the surrounding from miles of his position. Thus, he is able to know what the best position for his army is and he can feel where the enemy army is and roughly the size of it. This gives him a huge advantage.  Of course, he has also studied under the war god of strategy and tactics which has given him the knowledge on of the art of war. Of course, he grew too arrogant to realise that there some who are better as him and that is one of his weaknesses.

*Natural rock formations: He loves looking at natural rock formations and tries to remember them so he could make them himself one day for fun or during battle.
*Desert and mountain creature's: Gangting has a love for anything that has to do with mountains and deserts so he loves those that inhabit them as well.
*Fighting: Gangting loves to fight and love's to wage war. This has to do with the fact that he was militarised at a young age.
Dislikes:
*Demons and Dragons: Gangting hate's Demons and Dragons because they have terrorised his village for ages. He fought against them when he was young and later when he had become a Demon Slayer. His Demon Slayer nature gave him, even more, hate towards demons, like natural hate between the mongoose and the cobra.
*Modern Transportation: Gangting isn't used to these methods of transport and gets motion sickness. He prefers transport with a chariot or by horse.
*Vegetables: He simply doesn't like green food, it's for his food. It's the food for cattle that he eats, as simple as that.
Motivations:
*Tribal culture: Gangting is from a small tribe and village and deeply cares about everyone in it. They all need each other in the harsh environment they live in to survive.
*Militarism: He is trained from a young age to be a warrior and have a warrior’s mindset thus, he never gives up and always goes on where others stop.
*Stubborn: Gangting is as stubborn as a gigantic boulder when he wants to do something he does it and if something is in his way he will make a way.
Fears:
*The destruction of his tribe: Gangting is afraid that his village but this eventually happened.
*Flying or high heights: Gangting doesn’t like to be far away from the ground, if he shoots himself off towards the enemy it’s all right but too much time spent in the air or away from the ground terrifies him because he will feel powerless.
*Being powerless: Gangting doesn’t want to feel powerless. He wants to be able to do something when he needs to and he will very worthless if he can’t do anything.

Appearance: Gangting’s hair is short and his face is crowned with a beard. His body is wide and tall and very muscular. Scars seem to litter his body. He wears a dark bronze body armour decorated with gold. He wears below this a crimson linen skirt and a skirt of bronze strips to protect his legs. He usually wears a crimson cloak trimmed with white fur.
