The type of magic solely developed by the Foss family. Over the years this family of musicians managed to create a non-combat magic used for only two purposes, becoming better musicians and spreading their love of music to whoever will listen.
Filled with many types of music related spells, The Musical Arts is the true heart and soul of the Foss family.
Strengths:
• Fits Astrid's daily life and needs perfectly.
• Very convenient magic overall for a musician.
Weaknesses:
• Every spell's range relies on hearing range to work.
• Less effective on people with hearing loss or who are deaf.
• Not useful in combat situations.

Description: With just a simple touch or look Astrid can learn any song/score/instrument and memorize it.
Strengths:
• Can easily learn and master even the hardest of songs or scores.
Weaknesses:
• Does not work with any other form of media. (books, scripts, etc)
• Causes memory loss of other events and things in the user's life.

Description: Anywhere, anytime, Astrid can create background music to fit whatever situation is happening.
Strengths:
• Everyone within hearing range can also hear the music.
Weaknesses:
• Can be annoying to other people.
• The sounds can eventually be tiresome to the user.

Description: This spell summons temporary instruments if Astrid does not have have one within reach. These instruments can play like any other. They however, have a strange silver glow to them.
Strengths:
• The sound is like that of a true instrument.
Weaknesses:
• The glow can reveal it is not a real instrument.
• Cannot summon instruments she does not know how to play/has not seen or touched.

Type: Voice manipulation
Description: Voice manipulation. With this spell Astrid can make her voice sound completely like something or someone else. From different humans, monsters, and even animals. If they make a certain sound, she can imitate it.
Strengths:
• Spell is not only limited to human sounds.
Weaknesses:
• Can only imitate sounds she's heard before.
• Depending on the sound it can wear the throat down quite a lot.

Type: Emotions
Description: While either singing or playing a instrument, Astrid can use the melody to bring out any true or hidden emotions within someone as long as they are in hearing range.
Must have OOC permission for this to work on playable characters.
Strengths:
• Can bring out even the most hidden emotions in someone.
Weaknesses:
• If the target is resistant enough it may not work.
• As well as joyful emotions, this can also bring out some very unpleasant ones.
