History:When Gilbert was young he was abandoned and left at a old temple where he was raised by the monks of the temple as Gilbert got older he would be trained hand to hand combat and different forms swordplay but when he got to the age of 7 this when Gilbert first learn of his Magic and the destructive nature it had at first Gilbert was amazed by this new power as he had only readed books about magic so he never seen or witness it before but now for the first time he was able to see the amaze power surge from it but as Gilbert practice and got more used to his magic there was side effect that he did`t about as it began to twist his mind and become more cold and merciless also easily angered.
So after one day get into a agruement with one of the monks something inside Gilbert snap as he gave into his anger and allow his darker half take hold of him he went on a all out rampage killing all the monks who lived in the temple every single one even the children who stay there but Gilbert would not stop there as he continue his rampage go to village to village murdering and burning all that was in his path earn himself the title The White Demon.
But one day as he was walk towards a another village Gilbert sees a young black hair girl collect some water Gilberts does`t why but something about her kinda makes him feel bit nervous as he attempted to talk to the girl at first she just laugh at Gilbert nervous attmept at talk to her but as the days went on Gilbert set up camp outside the village as he got to know the girl and have feelings for her but sadly one of the villagers who lived in the village was a survivor from a old village that Gilbert had destory in his one of his many rampages so this Villager devise a plan on capture the girl so he could lure Gilbert and kill him so as the villager plan went according as plan. Gilbert would go to the destination he was told to go to but as he got there the villager could see from the terrifying aura emitting from Gilbert that he had no chance so he killed Rose as his way of reveage for all the family's and people he had killed.
As Gilbert witness rose blood drip from her body a intense rage inside him overcomes him as he attacks the villager but seeing no chance against Gilbert does nothing but let his death happen but just as Gilbert deliver the killer blow a image of rose appears to him so he stops as he thinks to himself "I can`t do this rose would not want me to kill this man even after what he had done".
So he stop his attack as he spare the man life then Gilbert turns around as he grabs Rose dead coldless body tears begin to drip from his eyes as he kept repeat to himself "Why could`t I save you rose I have all this power and I could do nothing but cause death and destruction Whyyyy"he says in anger and that Gilbert buried her body near nice river as he vowed to never become the White Demon again and from that day on would he travel around all of earth land t a bit until he decided to join a nice looking guild in the county fiore called fairy tail.
Personality:Gilbert is a headstrong,rash chatter box who loves talking to people he always been one of those people who prefer talking and get to know them instead of start fights. but he was not always like this as when he was younger he used to be shy talk to others and quite aggresive it kinda of the reason why things happen as they did when he was younger but he got past that side of him only show some of it like his passive aggresion which does sometimes with out notice which leads to him get into trouble but instead of get all serious about it he just laughs takes the station as it is and just lets things play out as they are instead of change it but when left to his own he most times is either hang out near a river as he learns to control his magic or is sleep in bed as he problay can`t be bother do anything on that day but deep down in Gilbert persona lies kinda of darkness that scares him so he trys to keep most information about his past a secret as he scared of people look at him as some sort of monster.
