    Magic

    Primary Magic: Monkey Sage Magic
    Secondary Magic: Not yet achieved
    Caster or Holder: Caster
    Description:
Sage Magic is an art that stems back to the days of Zeref and Acnologia. What made such magic favored back then was the fact that it wasn't exclusive to one group of people, therefore anybody could learn it. However, it was a certain tribe of people who made the magic very famous. You see, what they would do is that they would choose an animal, and train with it. That's all there was to it. However, there were only two locations to do this: In a dark chasm known as the "Giant Chasm" and in a huge, hollowed-out tree-like building called Treehollow. The reason why those were the only two places where one could learn Sage Magic was because the two specific locations had special properties in the Ethernano, which enabled the original Sages, or the animals themselves to imbue their powers into their students. There was also a grant risk taken with learning Sage Magic. In order to properly handle the powers of their animal, the trainee's magic power mixed with the animal's magic power absolutely had to be at a 5:5 ratio. Any less and the Sage Magic would not work, at least not properly. Too much and the victim would go through a process similar to Takeover Magic where they would turn into the animal that taught them. However, this was permanent and the victim would end up losing every bit of their humanity. So one had to be incredibly careful when learning Sage Magic, which is why it started being phased out over the years.

Sage Magic is applied by tapping into the "Animal Energy" that the user has mixed into their Magic Power. By doing this, they are able to adopt certain traits of the animal they trained with, such as blending in(with a chameleon), flight(with an eagle), and strength(with a lion). The traits adopted completely depend on the animal who trained with the user of this magic. Sage Magic is more of a physical-style magic, however, there are people who are able to take their animal energy and use it to create more magical-style spells. The way to know if a person has mastered Sage Magic is when they have the ability, or spell, rather, to change part of their body into that of the animal they adopted their powers from. This is known as "Sage Mode" and is incredibly rare, because the risks involved with achieving it are high. In order to achieve Sage Mode, the user of Sage Magic has to allow their Animal energy overtake their own Magical Energy. This is signified by a 7:3 ratio. The user has to achieve a 7:3 ratio exactly, or the technique will not work properly and the user will lose all of their humanity and turn into an animal.

While a person can only take the characteristics of one animal, Sage Magic is limited only by the user's imagination and will. The masters of this magic can access Sage Mode anytime at will. The choice animal that Kenpachi has trained under is the Monkey, and as such, gained above-average speed, strength, endurance, and fighting instinct.

And yes, this includes all of the great apes.

    Strengths:
The monkey, or ape, is perhaps well known for its massive strength. A gorilla is about six to fifteen times stronger than your average professional fighter. Based on that power differential, you can forget about winning an arm-wrestling match with one. Kenpachi's strength as such is above-average, and at full power is a rank above the strength of mages of the same rank as him.

A specific species of monkey holds the record among its species for being the fastest. The Patas monkey has a top speed of 34 Miles per Hour, or 55 kilometers per hour. Also, the average gorilla can reach speeds up to 25 miles per hour. Those who have trained under the monkey have generally above-average speed compared to peers of the same rank(about a rank higher)

Another trait Monkey Sage trainees adopt is the instinctual fighting responses, which are faster than a regular human's.

A fourth trait of being trained under the Monkey Sage is that your body becomes more robust. Mind you, this can only be achieved through training, but their bodies are designed to go through more punishment than a regular human. Which means that  they have the durability of the rank above them.

    Weaknesses:
If by any chance the user of Sage Magic should ingest or be injected with poison or venom, their body will go into a "Safe Mode" of sorts, to expel the venom/poison from the body. This is more of a defensive mechanism, but it renders the user of Sage Magic immobile for ten posts.

The user of Monkey Sage has also adopted some of its behaviours. As such, the user will uncontrollably run away from gunshots.

Sage Magic in general is a very close-combat oriented magic, so people who use projectile-type magics will have quite the edge.

If the user of Monkey Sage magic takes more than 30% HP damage in one post, their brain triggers a "Gorilla Rage Mode" which uncontrollably forces the user to attack anyone and everyone, even allies, for a full three posts.

Pain sensitivity is heightened and all buffs in the strengths are disabled when HP is below 40%. That is because when that happens, all of the muscles in the body become flaccid because they can't take the damage and extra strain.

    Lineage:
    Strength of Hercules:
Description: Son of the God Zeus and a mortal woman, Hurcules was the strongest man alive. He received his strength not only from his father, but also from his step-mother Hera; who was tricked into giving him her milk by Artemis. Hercules was strong enough to lift the Argo into the ocean so it could set sail. However, Hera cursed him with madness that led him into a life of misery and anger. He performed 12 trials for the Gods to redeem himself, but his madness overcame him and led him to his end. Spartans claimed to be the sons of Hurcules, inheriting his god-like strength.
Ability: Double physical strength and endurance, but slightly less agility.
    Usage: Passive

    Unique Abilities:

    • The user of Monkey Sage magic is able to take a giant leap of about 100 feet, once per three posts.

    • This is a passive ability. The user of Monkey Sage Magic can leap and bound through trees effortlessly

    • The user can talk in the monkey language.
