    History/Story
    History:
Silence, that was something Serena had always known, from the moment she was born, until the present time. What followed the silence, she knew, were the yells of the adults who had claimed to be her parents, her caretakers in life. Why, she had always wondered, that whenever silence had disappeared, the only thing left is noise and hatred. She had been neglected often, her parents only remembering to feed her twice a day and to send her to school. School was nothing less further from what her home was, there was no silence, ever, unless the teacher was talking, then the faint traces of silence would echo around the four walls she often entered. Nothing different from the four walls of her home, however, it was a lot more peaceful than the catastrophic household she never called home.
One day, Serena entered the household, there, her male caretaker stood, eyes filled with shock and anger while her female caretaker stood at another corner, gun in hand. The silverette's eyes widened and she fled the household, running, running somewhere away from the sight. Upon fleeing, she had bumped into a passing man, who looked at this girl curiously, before asking her a question. "Where are you going?" he asked, the 8 year old swallowed her words, looking up frightened at the man before racing back home, the only other shelter she had ever known off. It wasn't even suitable as a home in her mind.

There, in the front door she stood, looking at the sight in front of her, a knife stuck in the female's chest and the man was leaning against the wall choking out blood. His blood shot eyes traveled to the door and narrowed in annoyance when he saw the girl. With a shaking hand, he pointed at her and choked out the words, "It's all your fault Serena, all yours," before his last breath left him. The girl stood there, dumbfounded, why, why was it her fault they died?

Two years passed, she was 10, and in an orphanage. She was friendless, but somehow, she had always went to the same school she had always been to when she was 6. No one seemed to know, that her parents had killed themselves. Why, she always wondered, why do people hate each other amidst the noise? She hated the noise. Nothing good ever came out of it, so why do people continue making it? Her golden brown eyes seemed to blend in with her dead composure, and friends had no existence to her well-being. Everything was blamed on her, destruction, chaos, the only time when she was noticed was when people blamed her existence. Everything was so dark, why did people hate her?

Suddenly, her world became touched with a tinge of light, because of a woman who had probably been in her life for a long time. Auralei, she was called. The woman had thought her about the existence of magic, and the moment when her world became just a little bit brighter, was when she taught herself magic. Auralei seemed enthusiastic about teaching Serena more about magic, because after all, Auralei was her tutor, her sister, her friend and a mage even though people began to resent her. She was 12.

She became more well-versed in the knowledge of magic, though she kept part of her reclusive nature, she still attempted to know more about human nature for the girl still had questions she still hadn't found the answer yet. The image of her parents' dead bodies were still imprinted in the back of her mind, pools of blood splattered on the kitchen floor. The silverette never had nightmares of them, no, she had hallucinations of their deaths. Even then she kept visiting the empty household of the Tearre's. Auralei would usually accompany her to the house. Auralei was 20.

Serena always knew Auralei had a secret she would never tell anyone, not even her little sister, but Serena would never question Auralei. After all, since Auralei never asked why Serena always visited the empty house that stood in the forest's entrance and why there were still bloodied weapons lying on the kitchen table and why the faint scent of metal still lingered in the air. Serena always told Auralei she loved her and that she was happy that Auralei was always there for her when she needed her, but Auralei never did. Auralei would only smile sadly, as if she knew something bad was going to happen. It did.

It was the 20th of April, Serena's 15th birthday, when Auralei was nowhere to be found. No one knew who Auralei was, no one, not a soul. When Serena checked the Tearre household which was the brick cottage at the entrance of the forest, tears streamed down the silverette's face. Auralei was there, on the floor, mouth wide open and the thick red metallic smelling substance leaked out continuously from the almost cold body of Auralei. "Au-Auralei? Why are you bleeding like the caretakers?" Serena's voice came out weak, her pale pink fingers trembling as tears continued falling endlessly. Auralei was still alive, somewhat, and her last words to Serena felt like she was stabbed in the heart multiple times. 'Serena, I've always hated you'
And Serena was 15, Auralei was 22.

Hours later, people found a girl bent over a long dead body, dried up tears and puffy eyes and a limp body, as if all strength had left her. Agony had clouded her mind, and thus the girl was scarred. Why did people hate the silence? Why do people hate anyways? Perhaps it was because it made them live. That was the answer Auralei had given Serena when she was 11. Those words still lingered in her mind. She was given a new home, a mage family who took good care of the girl. Her silence said many things, and she would speak when needed. After all, her mind still had the last few words of her sister Auralei lingering in the back of her mind. She was 16.

The first question the 12 year old Serena had asked Auralei why she was hated by so many, Auralei would reply, "Because you're special, Serena. You're not like others,". "Is it because I know magic? she would ask but Auralei would shake her head and reply with a smile, "No, it's because you know things no one would ever bother to ask," and the conversation ended there.

RP Sample: Serena sat at a far corner, her dark hazel eyes scanning the room, listening intently to the conversations around her. She inhaled slightly as she resumed reading the novel she had in her hands, a sequel to one of her favourite book series. No one was really interrupting her at the moment, leaving her to dwell peacefully in the fictional world brought to her by the story she was reading. Just then, her perfect fictional world was disrupted by a distant voice pulling her out of her dreamworld fantasy. With tired eyes, she peered to the side of her, only to realise she had fallen asleep after drinking so much.
