Cat on the Loose [Job]

It was a pretty okay day at the Sabertooth guildhall. Several members were playing cards, others were drinking, but Blake was reading a book he got from the man on their last job. Across from him sat the boy about his age who he just met about a week ago. That was Alex. He was fidgeting with some stuff that they got from the job. Blake casually glanced over at the request board and saw the bartender hanging up a new poster. He put the book down and walked over to the board leaving Alex to whatever he was doing with the objects. "Oh look, another job that has to do with someone's lost pet." He took the poster off the wall and quickly walked over to the bartender as she was hanging up more posters. "I'll take this job ma'am, so will he." Blake not even looking, pointed in the direction of Alex who was still playing with the machine-like parts. "Okay then." The bartender responded. Blake walked back over to their table shoving his book in his backpack. "Alex, we're going to the train station."

As Blake and Alex arrived at the train station they asked when the train that goes to Beanstalk Village will get there. The train man said,"Your in luck! It just arrived, hop aboard!" Alex and Blake then hopped onto the train and took a seat, the train driver announced on the speaker that the ride will take at least 5 or 6 hours. After a long 6 hour ride to the Beanstalk Village Alex and Blake stepped out of the train and fell down from not standing for a while. As soon as they regained balance they walked to the location of the women, Mrs.Doi, and they arrived at her home. They knocked on the door as she answered knowing what they were there for. After a brief talk Alex and Blake looked at each other and nodded as they took off into the large village. Alex decided to split up and take the left side of the village while Blake was taking the right side of the village.

Blake searched the right side of the village for any traces of the kitten. "If I were a kitten, where would I hide?" Blake looked over people's back fences and saw that several of them were having grilling food. Blake thought that the cat might be there but he had no luck while searching for it. Blake looked around frantically because he heard footsteps approaching him. 
He dove into the nearest bush to wait it out. The figure passed by not even noticing Blake. He popped his head out of the bush looking for what might have passed by. He slowly got out and then felt instant pain on his back, the force flung him to the ground. Blake rolled over onto his back clutching it tightly, he saw a man with a frying pan ready to attack him again. The man swung at Blake again but Blake saw it coming, he rolled out of the man's range. As much as it hurt, he sprung to his feet and began to run.

As Alex was searching the left side of the village he heard some rustling in a garbage can in a dark ally. As he approached the garbage bin he noticed some growling, he thought a kitten cant make that noise! He then started to back up in caution, but he just had to step on a twig as the angry wolf was disturbed from his trash digging. Alex ran for it and hopped a fence before the wolf bit his leg. He rested a little and then when back to his adventure of searching for the lost kitten. He thought about where would he hide if he were a kitten then.. it hit him! He ran all the way down allys streets and all over the left village to find where the village bakery is. He saw a huge billboard pointing towards the bakery. He showed up and saw the kitten pondering around in the shop. Alex stared at the kitten ready to take action.

Blake sprinted and jumped, he dashed and cut, he even swam and climbed. All of that and it didn't even change the fact that there was still a psychotic man with a frying pan chasing him around trying to make his face into a pancake. "It's not like I can fight him, he's a citizen." Blake growled under is breath. Just then an idea popped into his head. He began to sprint towards the other side of the city. "I have to find Alex, he'll know what to do." Blake ran through the city noticing that the old man stopped following him. He was deep in thought about how him and Alex could be so connected when they met a week ago. "There's no way, I know where he is?" It's like there was a GPS inside of his head telling him where Alex was. Blake sprinted off towards the bakery hoping to find Alex. Once he arrived at the bakery he saw Alex crawling on the floor of the bakery towards an unsuspecting kitten who looked like it was choosing it's favorite type of bread in the bakery. "I think he's got it." Blake decided to step back and let the man with the plan handle it.

As Alex was commando crawling on the floor of the bakery he reached his arms out and snatched the kitten as he said," I got it!!" As soon as Alex grabbed the kitten, he scratched Alex's face. Alex was stunned and let go of the kitten, the kitten then made a break for it towards the door. Alex called for Blake but as soon as he looked, the kitten dashed between Blake's legs. Alex ran to Blake and they started to chase after the kitten, they jumped and ducked and weaved and dove and after all of that they caught the kitten in a ally way. Alex and Blake surrounded both of the exits, they closed in on the kitten making sure both of their legs were closed. Then Alex grabbed the kitten and held it at a safe distance from his face. Alex and Blake then returned to Mrs.Doi with her kitten. Alex handed Mrs.Doi her kitten as she said," Oh thank you wizards! How could I ever thank you??" Alex said," No, the pleasures all mine! Hope to see you around again some time! Bye!!" Alex and Blake left talking to each other about what happened in the two sides of the village while they were riding back from the Beanstalk Village. Alex and Blake then returned to the Sabertooth guild hall and gave the completed job to the bar tender, Alex and Blake were then ready for more.
