Be a Model!

Hakumi was excited to be on her first job. She decided to pick a neutral job because she was interested in meeting different mages, hopefully, not any weird ones. She had yet to talk to anyone in her guild, so she thought that this job would get them to notice her, since the models would appear in the sorcerer weekly magazine and she noticed that some of her guild mates read the magazine. She thought that if they saw her face in a magazine, they would be more tempted to talk to her, as she was sometimes afraid to speak to new people.

Before she left for the forest, she had packed a two piece bathing suit that was ice white with pink lining, it had frills on the top part, and a skirt indication on the bottom. She thought it would boost her appeal, since her body probably wasn't as matured as the other girls that would be there.

After she finished packing, she left her apartment and set out for magnolia. It was a hot sunny day, but she wore her usual outfit there. She took a train to Magnolia, and walked to East Forest. She kept an eye for female mages that looked like they were also going for the photo shoot. She saw one girl that was absolutely stunning! She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a mature, curvaceous body. Hakumi was originally going for the front page, as she know that she had a pretty face, but if this girl was also going, she could forget about that front page cover!

Hakumi saw a few other girls that were also quite beautiful, but they were nothing compared to the first girl she saw. Hakumi started to think of things that she could do with her magic that would make her pictures prettier than the other girls'. She thought that she could use her rose garden, but that seemed a bit extreme, so she came up with the idea to conjure some cherry blossoms and place a few in front of her while the picture was being taken. Then she started to think about what facial expression she should make. Some girl might not show any expression at all and just pose while being pretty. Sometimes, that has a great appeal.

She was almost ready to give up on her goal, but it was too late, she was already at the forest and she didn't want to look like a coward. She eyed the crowd of females looking for the one stunning girl she saw. She saw a few of the girls she had seen walking toward the forest around the same time she did, but she didn't find who she was looking for. She began to gain hope for her goal. After all of the people attending showed up, Chanelle started speaking in a megaphone and said,"Models find your swimsuits and get ready for your pictures!"

Hakumi started feeling a little bit embarrassed, she was the only one to bring her own swimsuit, she was so focused on trying to be on the cover, she hadn't taken the time to pay attention to the extra details on the job request. She hadn't even paid attention to the fact that all of the other models she saw weren't carrying any bags.

She began to search around for one she wanted, but then she notices that all the other girls had went to one of the staff workers for their suits. Hakumi just guessed that they would provide them with one that best suits their figure. Hakumi started walking to an open staff worker, when she saw what she was afraid of. The gorgeous woman she saw on the way to the forest. Hakumi started filling her head with doubt, but she decided that she cannot give up! She will continue to work to her goal, and even she doesn't achieve it, she'll still be happy she tried. She walked up to the free staff member and her started looking closely at Hakumi, until finally he said,"You, my dear, are magnificent, such a child like face and body on a more mature age." Hakumi started blushing, as she was used to getting teased about her size.

The man made Hakumi feel that she still had a shot at winning. He found a swimsuit for her that was like the one she planned on wearing. Frilly, just prettier. She started looking around at the other girls and saw how gorgeous the swimsuits were. She started getting out of her head and started focusing on having fun.

The man working with Hakumi also did her hair, he didn't put any makeup on her, as he said it could ruin her childlike appearance, it would make her look older in the face, but younger in the body. After all of the girls were ready, the photographer started taking their pictures. Hakumi noticed that most of the girls had serious faces, or were smiling. She didn't see any of them using their magic in their photo. She could use that to her advantage.

After majority of the other girl went, it was the beautiful girls turn, her skin looked so silky smooth and her complexion was perfect, it was like she had never set foot in the sun. Hakumi was amazed by her picture, but she wasn't going to give up. After all of the other girls went, it was Hakumi's turn. Her picture was taken in the water, Hakumi was smiling and playing with a beach ball, when the photographer snapped the photo, she had some cherry blossom petals flow past to make it prettier. By the time it was over, everyone had gotten their award. And when the magazine was published, Hakumi was on the front cover!
