Glory In The Limelight [PRIVATE]

So I believe we should discuss what exactly we all want to happen during our first mission. So... Anyone have any ideas?

On a more serious note, we should start with the basics. Things we should agree on before going too deep:
Do we want the man to actually be having his money stolen, or do we want him to be blaming somebody else for his clumsiness?
If the man isn't having his money stolen, what's the purpose of the man in black?
If the man is having his money stolen, is the man in black working alone?
What kind of path/strategy do we want to take in stalking the man?

In my personal opinion, I want the man to actually be having his money stolen, since it would give us something to do beyond observing. As far as observing goes, however, I feel like Alexei and Bea should follow the man personally since they don't have any other mode of following, while Malm follows nearby through Plant Sense. Aster's passive flower growth kind of makes him unsuited for tailing a person; instead, maybe we can have him act as a distraction so that everybody else can tail more efficiently? Have him grow stuff in the square as an act, and see if the man in black makes any pickpocket-y moves while that happens.
What do you guys think?

Well actually I was thinking of a similar plan Chaos. There's just one problem I have with your plan, and that's dealing with Malm's Plant Sense. It only allows him to sense plants, not people. So unless the target is the only one walking on a field of grass, it won't be much help without some preparation ;)

So here's what I've been thinking. Like Chaos said, we have Bea and Alexei on recon, keeping an eye out for anyone suspicious. Meanwhile, Malm will blend with the crowd and act natural while Aster will create some kind of distraction. Again, mostly just as Chaos said. Where my plan differs though is that once one of us had identified someone who can be the perp, they plant a plant on him so that Malm is able to follow his movements even when he goes somewhere they can't otherwise reach.

It's not exactly a great plan, but it's the one I think Malm would come up with.

P.S. In case it wasn't obvious, I believe the theft should be real too.

Hey guys. I don't know if he sent you all a PM or not, but iMuse has sadly decided to leave the site. Just thought you all should know.

This now leaves the question on what we should do dealing with Aster. Should we carry on as if he's not there, make up some excuse on why he had to leave, or something else I can't think of at this time?

Sad as it may be, I think the first option Timmir put up makes the most sense in this case, since he didn't have a ton of interaction with us IC past the first thread. If we make excuses, we'll have to keep making excuses, and that would be obnoxious. I have to leave in a second, but I'll think of some other strategies we can use (or just modify this one) and respond more when I get back later today.

What we could do, as been done many times in the past, is make an excuse. Have someone "play" Aster. "Aster" would look at his communication device, be surprised, and apologize because he has to go. Its quick and easy. Just as long as we don't delve on it. That way, we don't have mods wondering why we ignored iMuse throughout the thread. The excuse would serve as an exit.thread for him. Just my opinion :)

Okay then. I think I'm going to go with Sonya's plan. It gets him out of thread quickly and easily without much trouble.

Ugh... I don't really know if either of you would see this, but I just want to inform you that I'm starting to have thoughts about Malm joining the guild. The only real reason why I haven't made any real decisions about this yet is because I don't want to be forced to leave our team :( So yeah... I didn't want to do anything without at least telling you both before hand and hearing you feedback.

Honestly, Malm, I wouldn't feel any ill will if you left. Sonya's mad busy, and I keep fading in and out; this team isn't really going anywhere in the foreseeable future. I would like to keep RPing with you; Vivian might make a Pact with Malm soon, so we'll still be able to RP together. Not to mention that I've been trying to cut down the amount of relationships with people Alexei has; for a self-proclaimed loner, he's gotten quite a lot of companions >.>
Anyway, I wouldn't mind if you left the group, since it doesn't feel like we'll go anywhere soon with it, and I'll still be able to RP with you through Vivian. Do what you want, I won't have any ill feelings no matter what happens ^_^

I'm perfectly alright with doing our job thread. This will still be something that'll happen sometime in the future.

Also Chaos. Do you possibly want to do a thread with Malm and Aster having a falling out to explain why Malm decided to leave the team?

I'm totally fine with finishing our job thread, and I've always figured we would. I don't think we really need to do a 'falling out' thing, though; we don't need to tell the story outright, and if our characters run into each other again, it'll create some interesting tension. Of course, that's just my opinion; if you want to do a falling out thread, we can go ahead and do it.

No, we don't have to one. I'm just trying to think of a reason why Malm would choose to leave the team other then wanting to join a guild. I'll think of something.
