The king of Thieves!? (Tsu & Daichi)

It was quiet down by the docks, Daichi liked this because it gave him time to sit down and enjoy the tea he had just purchased. He had his black suit trousers rolled up to just above his knees, with his shoes and socks just next to him, still looking pristine as if they hadn’t been worn yet today. His black suit jacket hung open, swaying slightly in the light sea breeze, revealing his white shirt underneath, buttoned up all the way, and tucked expertly into his trousers. It was best to look prim and proper, even while simply dangling your feet of the edge of the dock while you enjoyed your tea. It was a wonderful day, and Daichi was beginning to wonder whether his partner to be would think the same. Taking another sip out of his disposable cup, taking a moment to savour the barely passable for tea taste, Daichi thought about the task ahead of them, and just how dangerous it could be. Still this reprehensible thief needed to be brought to justice, and they were lucky enough to get the chance to do so. “soon, and we shall meet. The thieves we shall defeat, and to victory we shall greet.” Daichi mumbled to himself before taking another sip and waiting for his partner to arrive.

It wasn’t long till Daichi heard someone approaching him, so he turned his head to get a better look, and caught a two fingered wave followed by a friendly greeting. Daichi choose not to respond at first, simply choosing to place his tea down next to his shoes, and push himself back up. Folding his trousers down he heard another sentence pass from this mans, was it a man, his voice seemed to sound more like a man’s, mouth. “Unfortunately as the lowest within the guild, this is all we can accomplish, but it matters not.” Finishing up his sentence by, putting his shoes and socks back on. Once finished Daichi took a moment to look over his comrade, taking a particular attention to what looked like to be a collection of guns. There wasn’t much he knew about his partner to be, but for now he seemed friendly enough. “ My name is Daichi, nice to meet you.” Daichi says while extending his hand out in an attempt at a handshake. He quickly follows this up with a gesture from his other hand directing to the boat. “ Shall we?” Daichi was looking forward to this mission, not only was it a chance to get to know a fellow guild member, but it was a perfect opportunity to help others in need, as this thought crossed his mind, the tiniest glimmer of a smirk began to emerge.

There was a moment where Daichi was unsure whether or not Tsu was going to return the favour. But of course he did, they were from the same guild after all, it didn’t matter whether or not they liked each other, they were part of something bigger, and the friendship still has lots of time to blossom. When Tsu had walked to step onto the boat, Daichi took a moment to just take in his surroundings one last time. “Oi Daichi what are you waiting for?” obviously this Tsu was just as anxious as he was to get going. Daichi picked his tea back up then Joined Tsu on the boat, hiding his slight apprehension at the idea of getting on a boat. Traveling was never the problem, the only problem was the lack of dry land, no ground no magic. Daichi always feared traveling over water, in case he needed to defend himself.
They hadn’t been traveling long when Daichi noticed that Tsu didn’t look to good. “ugh..sorry Daichi I was always bad with vehicles… Tell.. Tell me when we get there.” Apparently Tsu seemed to get travel sickness. This made Daichi tense up, what would happen if they were attacked now, Daichi with no magic, and Tsu unable to do much, alarm bells started ringing inside Daichi’s mind, this was definitely not the most logical team to send over water. No matter what Daichi decided that next time there would need to be someone else there, or for him to carry some kind of weapon just in case. Daichi decided that the best thing to do would be to try and make Tsu concentrate on something other than the traveling and feeling sick, so he began to brew a calming camomile tea. It didn’t take him long, and when he was finished he went to pat Tsu on his back, and present him with the cup. “Not far now, but this should help, focus on the taste, you won’t be able to enjoy any other tea ever again.” The island was pulling into view, there wasn’t much that Daichi could make out of it, what with trying to keep half an eye on Tsu and holding the warm aromatic tea out for him to take.

Daichi found an almost instant reaction coming from Tsu, his Calming tea seemed to be doing just the trick. This made Daichi feel relieved, enough so that he decided to make himself a cup, hunched over his little teapot, Daichi didn’t even realize when they had reached solid ground again. The first indication Daichi had that they had reached their destination was the sudden absence of his teammate, Tsu, who had already left the boat and thanked the old man who had driven the boat for them. Hurriedly putting away his tea kit, Daichi picked up his cup and strode of the boat as well; just to be hit with a sudden heat wave. Great I’m going to be sweating like a freak in no time, was the only thought going through Daichi’s mind, hot weather and him never mixed well. “so… what’s the battle plan?” Tsu seemed to think that Daichi already had a plan. Taking a moment to enjoy his beverage Daichi contemplated their predicament, obviously they needed to find this cartel’s hidden base, but a base hidden inside a desert wasn't going to be easy to find. After pulling the cup away from his face and holding it at about hip height Daichi thought it about time he answered.
“I have no idea, I do however reckon our best bet is to head to the highest dune, and see what we can in the surrounding area.” Confident that his decision was the best course of action, Daichi took another sip of his tea, before Turing in the direction of what appeared to be the highest dune and heading off in strong confident strides. This was not going to be easy, Daichi knew that, but he also knew that no matter what he was going to get these lacrima back for the people who needed them. These thieves better watch their step, because they have already wronged people, and in Daichi’s book that meant no quarter would be left to them.

It wasn't long before Daichi felt the full force of the desert heat hitting him hard. Sweat was beginning to fall all over his body, and he had to undo several buttons on his shirt, just to remain able to concentrate. Daichi was usually calm and collected, but he knew that much longer in this heat and he’d just give up and collapse. At the top of a dune, Daichi simply fell to the floor, taking a moment to breathe, and try to cool off. Not working very well, Daichi thought that taking his jacket of and holding it above his head for makeshift shade might make enough of a difference, but before he could he noticed Tsu staring of into the distance. It appears Tsu was also drenched in sweat, but he was definitely coping better than Daichi. “Looks like we have some company!” Daichi couldn't make them out, but he knew to trust his colleague’s eyesight, that was the point of a team, to make up for each other’s shortcomings. Daichi forced himself back onto his feet. “How do you want to handle them?” Daichi strained to return to his usual cool and confident stance and way of talking. This was one of those times that Daichi needed some kind of direction, he didn't know what was coming, and he didn't know whether the approaching force was friend or foe. How many were coming, and what type of attack they use if they do want to fight, neither of them seemed dressed to slink away stealthily in order to surprise them. The way Daichi saw it their best course of action was to face them head on, but he didn't want to take the lead, not in his condition. Daichi looked at Tsu and waited for some kind of direction, or indication he had a plan.

Daichi’s eyes open wide in surprise. His colleague made a run straight for them; this was not going to be safe, let alone easy. But Daichi could see them now; they were armed to the teeth, some with scimitars, and others with giant hammers. Tsu had made a run for them and was practically upon them, suddenly a phrase rattled through Daichi’s mind. “Oi Daichi follow my lead”. Tsu had made a brief stop, But Daichi could already taste the salty tang of his own sweat, the sweltering weather was not his environment. Daichi knew that any moment now something bad was going to happen, and he didn’t have to wait long to be proven right. Within seconds Tsu had sent one them flying, the attack should have knocked him out cold, but The guy simply got up of the sandy floor, brushed himself of and cracking his neck, made a very bad joke about Tsu’s appearance. Unfortunately, it seemed to have the desired effect, Tsu started to glow with a weird aura, and some kind of mask appeared next to him. “Your so dead…” The men all around Tsu spread out, getting ready to encircle him, Daichi sprinted forward now, feeling the sand beneath him push back with every step, urging him forward. Daichi usually preferred waiting to see what his opponents fighting style was before going into the fray, but he was not about to let his team mate get surrounded. Within seconds Daichi had intercepted one of the swordsmen, who took a swing at him in a downward ark from up on the left. The swordsman made a motion to move to the left around him, so as to encircle them both. Daichi knew this would not be good for them, and as such decided to try and dodge the attack, and duck down for a low sweeping kick, in order to trip him up, and then jump over him, with a strong downward kick when landing, so as to keep the swordsmen down. This fight was just getting started, and Daichi had no idea how strong these men where, so no need to let them see his true strengths until he had to. “You know they technically have us five to two right?” Daichi will say no matter how well his attacks go. Taking a quick glance at Tsu to make sure he was doing alright.

Daichi's second attack missed by an inch, as the swordsmen rolled out of the way of his attack. He now knew one thing for sure, these guys were fast, and quick to recover, that and they were going to pay for his new suit. Daichi's jacket and shirt had a diagonal cut going through them, ruining the entire ensemble, so since he was overheating anyway, Daichi decided to quickly fling of his jacket and shirt, and throw them in the direction of the swordsman getting up, in an attempt to temporarily disorient him.

“not anymore” Tsu said just before getting thrown back by a Giant hammer, Daichi instantly responded by lowering his hand quickly, and forming a claw like shape with it, pointing it at the feet of the scimitar wielding opponent he had distracted with his clothes, then quickly zoomed his hand off in the direction of another one trying to go after the hammer he had just thrown. Suddenly a clump of Earth about 15 inches in diameter, shoots out from beneath the distracted man’s feet, forcing him to loose balance and start to fall over, and then hurtle right into the hammer wielding man’s chest. Daichi continued his motion by bringing his left foot up in a spinning arc down into the scimitar wielding opponent’s hand. The Weapon less man was now being thrown backwards himself. The scimitar slammed quickly into the ground, allowing Daichi the chance to grab it, and swing it around expertly turning back around to face his other opponents. With Tsu temporarily removed from the heat of battle, Daichi needed to keep their attention until they got back. Charging back into the center of the group Daichi went for a simple left to right slash at another opponent, only to be hit by something, he couldn't describe. They had MAGIC!!! Daichi’s vision had been completely obstructed by smoke, his eyes and throat burned from it as well, he felt so very helpless, a point proven to him, when a hand came to grip around his throat and pull him up.
