ARC OF THE FOREST
Ancient Magic: Solitary Benefit- +25% to Damage Reduction.
Gil holds in his possession a fearsome and powerful magic. “Arc of the Forest” is a form of ancient magic, one that closely resembles “Great Tree Arc” but with a couple of key and noteworthy difference than its cousin magic. For one, “Great Tree Arc”, power lies within the ability to manipulate trees and properties of earth within them. This form of magic does not grant the user the power to manipulate the properties of the earth, but does instead, allows the user to absorb the moisture and magic power from targets. Furthermore, this form of magic grants the user the power to turn into and become a living forest- thus, they are not limited to simple tree type flora.
With this magic, Gil can transform into, become, and generate various forms of plant life from their body, granting them a wide range of defensive, offensive, supplementary, and auxiliary options. This ability to turn into plant life is incredibly versatile, allowing them to regenerate from damage, and with some training allow an opponent’s attack to pass through him. This magic also seems to offer some degree of control the environment’s fertility level, and when activated, plant life seems to grow and overtake whatever is around them. This can leave a battlefield transformed into an forest.
When in battle, Gil can use the power of this magic to generate various constructs and weaponry. Such as turning his fingers into root-like tendrils to pierce an opponent, and then absorb the mana from their body via the absorption of moisture. Alternatively, Gil can generate massive fists made from trees to erupt from the ground, dealing damage to an area, and knocking an opponent into the air. Or he can choose to simply enshroud an area with flora and use the created flora to bind, entangle, and entrap enemies in the area of effect. Barriers and shields can also be formed form the plant life Gil can create.
UNIQUE ABILITIES
Elemental Mimicry: Arc of the Forest grants the user an incredibly important and remarkable power. It turns the user into the element in question, in Gil’s case a forest human. Granting him the power to transform into plant life in order to shield and heal their body. In short, this translates into two different things- number one, Gil regains 5% of his total health each post while in combat, and number two, Gil receives passive shielding burst-type spell equal to his rank. This passive shielding cannot be replenished, one destroyed it is destroyed for the thread. The shielding provided by this ability maxes out at S-rank.
Escaping Growth: The healing powers of the Arc of the Forest is incredible. Gil can use the transformative abilities of the Arc of the Forest to survive attacks that would otherwise severely deform, disfigured, or maim him- allowing him to break apart, reconstitute, and heal his body. Once per turn, Gil can utilize the regenerative powers of the Arc of the Forest to heal himself equivalent to a burst type of spell of his rank. Furthermore, after receiving damage, the user can teleport away from his current location. Note, this does not prevent damage, and damage must be sustained first before teleporting away. The range of the teleportation is equal to burst type spell of his rank. This ability maxes out at S-rank.
