    " “

A black cloak drifted aimlessly through the wind. The only decorative colour that dotted the barren landscape of the Phoenix Mountains. Luminous red-eyes pierced the misty veil that the clouds provided as a singular and lone soul stood atop one of the snowy peaks that overlooked a small clearing below. Figures gathered in the clearing, silhouettes that were hard to make out. The indiscernible noises that rumbled from their vocal chords made it impossible for regular individuals to discern but there was one man in particular whom existed an objectively-driven life. A man who'd focus so hard on his task that he'd make the impossible seem possible.

Clu had his arms folded and he watched the group at a distance with that unrelenting, observant gaze of his. It was one of his primary characteristics after all. The art of identification. His ability to seek and destroy was a talent he and others valued greatly. There wasn't a man or woman on earth that he found impossible to track. Though saying that, there were certainly indomitable foes. Sure, he could find any culprit responsible for a crime but bringing them down was another matter. Soulless yet striking red sclera emphasized a heavy-set gaze as similar thoughts drifted along his consciousness.

    "1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. 5..“

The devilish gentleman's finger danced along each silhouette in the distance as he systematically counted them one by one. He wanted to make sure they were all there before he made his grand-entrance. Sure enough, they were and Clu prepared his frontal yet not so confrontational assault.

The stick-like muscles in his legs twitched as his body leaned forwards. The thin mountain peak that once provided stable support with which he perched on soon gave way underneath him and rocks crumbled between light footing. Floating for a brief moment, Clu plummeted down the mountain-side where he gracefully directed his body to slide down the cliff and promptly appear in the clearing where the organisation known as the "Copycat Gang" continued their dauntless meeting.

"Who the hell are you? Get the fuck outta here if you know what's good for you!“

One of the men shouted in his direction; pointing a fat finger in Clu's direction. The darkened wizard's red eyes glimmered in delight as he watched the finger rather than the man behind it. He took a few steps forwards and the whole group tensed as if expecting an assault. The black cloak fluttered behind him and with each step, a footprint carved itself out within the snowy clearing.

"You must be Randy. I've been told you're quite brutal.“

Clu's sharpened teeth glimmered with delight as he observed the heavy-set club attached to Randy's waist. A brutal thug of a man who clearly favoured brute force over the tactile methods that some of his compatriots employed.

"1...and then there's Toby the Defiler, Kim Strange, Wade Booklet..“

Clu's eyes dashed from left to right, observing every little detail about the apprehensive group of dangerous individuals that lay themselves exposed infront of him. They watched him warily but not one dared to make a move as if this black-haired man's very presence intimidated the daylights out of them.

"Oh.. and of course. The one with the talent, Zack Storm.“ Clu smiled in his direction, directing those monstrous, luminescent red-eyes of his to make point blank eye contact with the self-appointed leader of this gang.

"You saying we don't have talent? I'll fucking kill you!“

Randy screamed a monstrous war cry and withdrew his club from it's sheath. In a rather crude manner, the brute stumbled towards Clu whom remained perfectly still until the club was practically inches from his face... and then it happened. Practically unseen to the untrained eye, Randy was on the ground, tears of blood streaming down his right eye and the club that he once held proud as a weapon split in two by his side. A wickedly sharp dagger had pierced his iris in the space of a second.. but how? The gang looked on astonished and Clu only smiled in their direction.

"Now.. gentleman. Let's say we continue this civilly, hm?“

"I felt a Funeral, in my Brain,

    And Mourners to and fro

Kept treading – treading – till it seemed

That Sense was breaking through –

And when they all were seated,

    A Service, like a Drum –

Kept beating – beating – till I thought

My mind was going numb –

And then I heard them lift a Box

    And creak across my Soul

With those same Boots of Lead, again,

Then Space – began to toll,

As all the Heavens were a Bell,

    And Being, but an Ear,

And I, and Silence, some strange Race,

    Wrecked, solitary, here –

And then a Plank in Reason, broke,

And I dropped down, and down –

And hit a World, at every plunge,

And Finished knowing – then –"

"Ah... What lovely verses... Such beauty portrayed in the simplest of ways..." Anastasia gushed, a rosy pink tint rushing to her cheeks. It was times like these when she felt the most content. The young woman knew this poem by heart, and would often quote it in times when she was filled with passion. As she made her way towards her destination, the feeling of excitement threatened to burst from her chest. The brutes in which she had been entrusted to take care of seemed as if they would be quite the challenge, indeed. Such a challenge, in fact, that she might receive a walloping. "Hnnnn!" A shiver jolted up her spine at the thought of something so... So delicious. If she were to complete this mission, though, she would need to keep her composure. There would be plenty of time to enjoy the agony once everything was said and done.

Following the footprints that had been left behind in the snow, Anastasia found herself approaching a camp of sorts. If you could even call it that. Perhaps it was more of a base of operations? It mattered not. What mattered now was destroying her targets. Everything had already been beautifully planned! She was going to sneak in and...

    Oh...

Just as she had been about to creep in to the camp, a tall, dark figure descended from above, appearing before the gang. What the hell was this guy doing?! These were supposed to be her victims, not his! Marching forwards, the silver haired woman grumbled, tossing a glare towards the man in question. "It would seem that this brute has gone and ruined everything..." Anastasia snarled, tone biting with sarcasm. "He claims that he wants civility, though his actions portray anything but... Pitiful, really." Reaching down towards the holster that clung tightly to her left thigh, she retrieved a dinky looking dagger, bringing it up to her face to get a better look. A small smirk crept it's way across her features as she raised it to her lips. Tongue darting outwards, she dragged the dull, metal edge across it, getting a taste of the weapon. "Mmm... Yes... I believe that this belongs to you, Mr. Storm. I'm terribly sorry for keeping it from you. It was bestowed upon me by one of the men who wants you dead, but I have no use for it now."

For a moment, everything was still. Silence fell over everyone who was present for that one, vital moment. But in the next, everything would change. It happened in a flash. If one didn't look close enough, it would have been missed. The weapon that was once in Anastasia's hand was now buried deep into the forehead of the young girl who stood behind the rest of the group. Soon after, her body hit the ground with a muffled thump. It was like music to the deranged woman's ears. "Oopsie! I guess I'm a better throw than I had first assumed! How tragic!" Insanity almost seemed to pool within her violet eyes as she stared at the corpses that now lay across the snowy terrain. The rest of the gang members looked on in fear, unsure of what they could do to stop the two mages who confronted them. "What is it that you want?! Money?! We can give you all the money we have! Just please stop this!" One of the men pleaded, clasping his hands together in a gesture of desperation. Retrieving her lovely little revolver from her holster, Anastasia raised it, aiming it towards the man who had spoken. "Oh, no, my dear. I'm afraid that I have no use for your money... All I want is..." She paused for a moment, a sinister giggle rumbling within her throat.

    "Your lives."

The chill was a snap against the flesh. A reminder of everything that was occurring as she stood watching beneath the shade of the nearby assembly. Hoping to catch them unaware was difficult now. The entry of this insane pair may have served as the advantage on her part, then again, unfamiliarity in hysteric murderers wasn't meant to serve as reassurance.

Seven cast her red eyes across the gruesome scene with a prominent furrow in her tanned features. Vigilant to every action that unfolded in this dilemma, her fingers tightened across the unsheathed weaponry. Many shades resounded the flicker of the light through the scarce amount of foliage. Like a prism, it had even aroused a glimmer against the silver lining upon her form. A chance was evident now in the startle of these hooligans.

With Toby alarmed by the loss of his comrades, he barely had the chance to comprehend the woman behind him. Comparable to a blink, one moment she had not existed and the next, she was there. Lowering her blade through the flesh of his back. Light enveloped the area around them. It offered him a swift retreat into the warm embrace of death itself.

Beautiful ruby scattered across the snow, additional to the already formed markings around them. Seven rid the taint from the weapon with the flick of her wrist. With the distance dwindling it gave her the chance to glimpse towards the other bloodthirsty mass. "Don't get in my way." she commanded, gentle voice layered by the slightest ounce of hostility.

That predatory gaze wandered towards the other targets.

    " “

Crimson irises settled on the two new occupants inhabiting the subtle snowy scenery. His observant gaze worked hard at penetrating their every weakness but to no avail. There was something about these newly introduced individuals that Clu couldn't quite wrap his head around. The black cloak fluttered around his body revealing knives of all shapes and sizes within the innards of the garment that draped loosely over his shoulders. He opened his mouth to speak but no words came as he was interrupted by a shard of lightning that struck deep into the ground between the three. Zack Storm stepped forwards, his body radiating a menacing electrical glow.

"Y'all really messed with the wrong bunch. Those two brutes are nothing compared to what I can do."

As he spoke, he launched himself in the air with speckles of blue electricity decorating the atmosphere around him. Bolts began raining down on Clu, tens at a time. One barely reached his face when an explosion ignited as if the attack had found it's mark. Smoke shrouded the area and clouded everyone in a veiled silhouette. Figures were indistinguishable amidst the carnage whilst the gang yelped cries of recognition to ascertain whether they were still together. Then it happened. A resounding boom smacked into the clearing and the overwhelming sense of a heavy weight on everyone's shoulders ensued.

Zack began to cry out and the echoes of bones breaking, skull cracking, ribs snapping filled the void of enigmatic silence. Clearly the weight that everyone now felt on their shoulders was particularly strong on the young lightning mage. It was as if gravity itself had turned up several notches. The world had turned against them and the very laws of reality were defied as Zack's body was literally crushed into a million tiny pieces such was the force that exerted itself on his shoulders. He lay there, lifeless in a matter of seconds, his body a literal puddle on the floor.

The smoke cleared and the gang gasped; unable to find the words to avenge their fallen comrades. Two of them began to whimper as the realization soon dawned on them that they were far out of their league here. To add a further observation, Clu had disappeared from the rocky mountain clearing; a wisp out of thin air; there one moment and gone the next. He'd left his mark and a terrifying mark it was. The blood that was once belonged to the dead Zack Storm had traces of fingerprints in it. Only a few more centimeters away you could see the reason for such a phenomenon. A message.. written in blood.

"I leave the rest to you. You'll see me again, of that you can be sure.“

TAG: @Blood Minus @Seven. WORDS: 1,306/1,000. NOTES: NOTES HERE

Violet eyes gazed blankly at the scene that had begun to unfold before her. It would seem that the two of them weren't alone here in this snowy graveyard. Whether it was by fate or pure coincidence, it looked like they were all here for the same purpose. It was truly obnoxious having to share the battlefield with two oafs. If she had come here alone, everything would have already been finished. But no, these buffoons had to go and complicate things. A small sigh escaped from the young woman's lips as she noticed Zack approach, pitiful lightning strikes crackling in an attempt to intimidate the trio. It was sad, really. This man stood absolutely no chance, yet he attempted to make himself seem tough. Didn't he know when to just quit? "I would sta-"

Anastasia was quickly interrupted when the man leaped upwards, electricity raining down from his palms and towards the strange man who had stolen her thunder. Almost as if by reflex, she took aim with her revolver, index finger lingering menacingly above the trigger. Now would be her time to shine! She would save this fool in a fantastic blaze of glory! Or so she thought. Just before the trigger could be pulled, Zack let out a blood curdling scream, and his body contorted in ways that the body never should. It was a horrifying display. One that exuded a terrifying strength. The echoes of cracking bones was music to the woman's ears. How was it that something so brutish could be so beautiful?

As Zach fell to the ground in a bloody heap, Anastasia lowered her weapon, a subtle pink tint rising to her cheeks. "Oh my~..." She breathed almost seductively. "What a marvelous display! Oh, I simply must get a closer look!" Jogging up to the body, Anastasia dropped to her knees, staring at the pile of flesh in awe. It was almost as if she envied his condition. What a romantic way to die! "Lovely, absolutely lovely!" She cried, a deranged giggle rumbling within her chest. Eyes twitching psychotically, the silver haired mage looked up towards the two final gang members. "It would only be fair that you two join him. I only wish I could give you such a glorious death as his, but you'll just have to make due with what I can bestow upon you." Raising her revolver quickly, she made two swift shots, watching closely as the bullets whizzed gracefully towards their targets. Seconds later, they fell to the ground, fresh wounds directly between their eyes. Her accuracy never failed in these types of situations.

Placing her beloved revolver back into it's holster, she gazed at the scene once more. Where had that man gone? She wanted to discuss that amazing kill with him! But alas, it would seem that he had disappeared. "How strange..." She grumbled, letting out an exasperated sigh. Just as she had been about to rise from her spot on the ground, though, she noticed something that stood out. A message written in blood? "So... So r-romantic!~" Fumbling over her own feet, she managed to make her way towards the red lettering, getting a closer look at what it said. She would definitely need to see this man again.

What could have been a spectacle to the villainous display, ended as quickly as it had started. Seven was already withdrawing from the mass of lifeless bodies. Mighty oaks obscured the hidden cottage, serving well to the rest of the gang that worked beneath the dead. Essentially unaware due to the banter within, her swift motion allow the crazed woman to relish in murder by her lonesome. The blaring echo of gunfire was all it took to ease the music, unsettled joints shrilling as the door would open. Unlucky it was for the curious advance, the first man to notice the sounds felt the shimmering blade plunge into him. Naturally as had it always been, the door jerked backwards as she shook the gushing form from her weapon.

He fell with a distinct thud against the wooden surface, this time capturing the heed of the rest. ‘You alright mate?” one of them called, struggling to push the only fragment of exiting against his heavy body. It did not budge however, as Seven stepped from the structure with a luminous flare in weaponry those were still oblivious till it was to late. Perhaps that was why they had been left to their own devices while those of higher capability met outside. As the snowy fall coated a layer against the empty vessels, she poised the prism upwards.

It etched the dull light into something greater, an explosion that swept towards the placing of the followers in a burst of flames. None would be left alive. As if something otherworldly had befell upon them for every sin they had committed. Gratifying karma that was left as a mystery.

A wave of energy travels throughout the mountains, shuddering the peak of the snowy cliffs and the slumbering birds that soar high into the sky. The object dissipates like the grains of sand in her homeland, instead here where the world is just a bit more colorful, the snow melts against her tanned skin. "So this is winter," Seven says aloud, a whisper that none could hear in the stillness of her surroundings. The flames dance high against charred wood and hidden bodies, smoke rising into the white layer above. Soon enough those would discover what just had happened, or at least, the passing of those caught in the unfortunate wrath of an element. Just how it had transpired would never be known, the three were gifted with this knowledge. A curse that was likely to them.

Seven turns back, as if to catch a glimpse of the insanity that had gotten here before her. Instead, there is nothing. A mound in the cold, the wisp of the nearby heat and the clashing current. Silver shifts from its place against the force and she moves to tuck it away from her face. With the problem gone, there is no need for Ahote to worry. She has served her purpose like she did for them. After all, this is what she was made for. There is nothing better than this. Footfall disappears with time as the assassin leaves silently, not bothering to notice the message in red.

As it did say however, perhaps they would meet again.
