Major Site Changes

Hello FTRP Community! Today marks a very important day on site as I have decided to make some major changes. I will be starting a new slate with the staff team and starting fresh, with hopefully new staff members. I hope nothing but the best for all previous staff members, but this is something that I feel like I must do. I am writing this because the current state of FTRP is not one I had imagined, and hopefully we can change things up to make it better.

First, I would very much like to thank all the previous staff members for their hard work and dedication to the site. I know I haven’t been around lately, but starting a business, a career, maintaining a social life, and being a full-time student isn’t exactly easy. This site has been part of my life for so long, and I have always been very lenient about how much creative freedom you all have. It makes me happy that some of you were able to create events and such that you wanted, along with implementing rules and such. I apologize if you ever thought I was controlling, I have always had the best intentions for each one of you.  I know deep down if you think about all the great times we’ve had, you’ll appreciate them. I wish you all the best.

Second, this site has had its fair share of toxicity. I’m sick of any passive aggressiveness, manipulation, lies, and overall drama that occurs. I have never been one for monitoring your personal conversations, and this includes guild chats on Discord or Skype or whatever. I know at times we can’t all get along, but I would rather everyone be more mature and reflect than to keep adding to it. There is nothing wrong with venting, but please don’t hold on to things. I’m not asking you to have to be liked by everyone or asking you to like everyone either. I’m just asking everyone to be cordial, respectful of each other, and open minded. Nobody’s perfect, you live and you learn it.

Third, staff positions are obviously available. If you were a previous staff member, you are welcome to apply again. Feel free to message me on Discord if you would like to have a conversation, send me a staff application, etc.

On another note, I would like to implement more suggestions from players. Feel free to message me and post in the suggestions during this time. If you really want your idea to catch on, feel free to ask your friends and other members of the community to either support it or discuss it in the suggestions section!
