    Magic

    Magic Name:
    Magic Type: Holder
    Description:
Written and illustrated by herself, Inglisse keeps a unique tome with her at all times. With a photographic memory of it, she does not always need to be looking at a page to recall a particular spell in order to utilize the magic of it. However, the book was written on observations Inglisse made in her studies and research. The particular magic of the tome contains its own laws and limitations. It houses information ranging from transformation, summoning, potions, resources and where to find them, basic casting, seals, etc.

The focus of the tome, however, focuses on five primary "elements", or aspects of the universe. Some elements trump other elements, gaining an advantage when paired against others, while most remain neutral. The five elements are as listed below, acronym SAPAS:

Sacramentum - The Unknown. Anything that cannot be categorized among the other four elements naturally falls into a section best known as 'mystery'. Sacramentum has an advantage over the Mind (emotions, mental states, psychology) of individuals, but is weak to Sorcery (magic, spells, manipulation and law breaking of the natural world). Components include the eldritch, the void, abyssal energy, dark matter, abstract concepts, time, etc.

Animus - The Mind. Emotions, mental states, and psychology all belong in the category of the mind. Mental powers and anything relating to the mental powers and abilities of any living being makes up the section known as Animus. It has an advantage over the Psyche (soul, spirit, aether), which it often can directly control, but is weak to Sacramentum (unknown and mysteries), which are completely out of the control and understanding of the Mind. Components include thoughts, emotions, sensory, perception, learning, dreams, memory, etc.

Psyche - The Soul. The essence that ties the mind and the body together is the soul or spirit. It is the truest part of a person but is unseen by the naked eye. The psyche includes aether and spiritual energies. It has an advantage over Alchemy (the physical and natural world), due to the aether often dictating the workings of reality, but is weak to Animus (the mind) because of the mental limits having some power over restricting Psyche. Components include souls, spirits, aether, spiritual energy, heavenly bodies, astral projections, astral planes, etc.

Alchemy - The Physical. The natural world as everyone knows it is essentially the physical realm. It is the reality that most people are familiar with. It has an advantage over Sorcery (magic, manipulation) due to the fact that Alchemy typically sets the standard and the foundation of all magic, as well as puts in place the rules and laws that magic then breaks or bends. Without the physical, there is no magic. It is weaker to the Psyche (spirit realm, souls) because of the spiritual planes and aether generally having direct influence on the physical, oftentimes setting the foundation and happenings. Components include natural elements, atoms, energies and gases, heat, space, matter, etc.

Sorcery - Magic. Sorcery, or magic, is the defining feature of many attributes of the natural world. It defines people, places, politics, civilizations, and lifestyles. Sorcery is often defined as the creation, removal, breaking, bending, or changing of natural laws. It includes the supernatural potential innate to almost all beings in Earthland, be it magic or abilities in some other form. Sorcery is strong against Sacramentum, as it brings the unknown to light and can utilize and manipulate it. Meanwhile, sorcery is weak to Alchemy, as its potential is defined by natural laws of the physical realm. Components include magical energy, summoning, transformation, creation, destruction, distortions, supernatural ability and knowledge, potential, etc.

The basic laws of the tome dictate that elements can be broken down into their components, a process known as decomposing. Components can be processed and put back together in old or new ways, a process known as composing or composition.
With the five elements specifically, crossover is possible and is the basis of this magic. The magic does not grant spells to compose a singular element but instead offers the ability to compose the components of two or more elements.

    Weaknesses:

    Unique Abilities:
Case of Identity Inglisse possesses the ability to manipulate any of the five elements, Sacramentum, Animus, Psyche, Alchemy, or Sorcery as long as they are not a part of a registered application and are within burst range. Any of these elements that she generates or uses maintain a strength and durability of her rank in magic damage. Inglisse may additionally phase her body to one of the five Sapas elements. Whenever her body takes the form of one of the elements or components, it as a single strength and durability of her rank. Having the control over Sapas gives Inglisse 25% of a boost to magic damage.

Scarlet Study The user possesses enhanced eyes and detection capacity. Combined with her research, she is able to differentiate and recognize all types of the unknown, mind, soul, physical, and magical if it has been written somewhere. Additionally, she may touch and interact with all aspects of Sapas. By spending the mana it costs for an opponent to use a defence such as shields, resistances, or durability, the user may pierce through them if they are within burst range. The user may materialize the unseen Sapas elements to visible or physical impressions or representations as she desires.

Fear Valley The user maintains an abyssal dimensional storage for herself, to keep supplies, resources, and abominations. Anything in the storage is considered equipped if it is within the limits of equipment rules. Additionally, the user may summon some of her monsters out of the abyss. These abominations are as strong, durable, and fast as her rank. Additionally, the user has 25% more mana from her abyssal storage.

Four Signs Being something of a magical researcher, Inglisse is able to summon and create scientific instruments at will, each with a durability and strength of her rank if desired. If one of these instruments makes contact with someone else, it paralyzes them for a single post. This may only happen once every other post. With OOC permission, it may cut off the magic flow of a subject so they are unable to use spells or abilities. Finally, keeping instruments within her abyssal arsenal makes her spells cost 50% less mana.

Binomial Theorem The tome magic of Inglisse enables her to cancel ill effects, debuffs, or negation for the cost that it took an opponent to cast them. Additionally, she may teleport up to a user rank burst distance away. Finally, Inglisse's tome grants her 50% magic resistance.
