Personality:
Daisuke is a monster hunter or in his language a Hoko-tzu. His training was harsh and involved many magical rituals that have left their mark on him. He became stronger and faster but lost a part of his humanity. He lost his emotions, a sacrifice for his new powers. People start avoiding Daisuke when he stays too long at one place, the lack of emotion and the vibe he radiates unsettles them. Sometimes he is even forced out by the villagers or the innkeeper. Bad luck or bad for business is the usual excuse. It would make him sad or even angry if he had the capability of showing those emotions. Instead, he feels emptier inside. It’s one of the reasons why he prefers to be on his own or around animals. Daisuke travels around through different countries and regions to find contracts to kill monsters. He has accumulated a lot of knowledge of different regions and cultures as well as combat experience.  
Daisuke is calm in battle and isn’t the one to use war cries. He has been able to force opponents to surrender by simple standing silent and unmoving. ‘A drawn sword means death’ is the Daisuke’s motto in battle, not necessarily the motto he would have chosen himself but it’s the truth about the blade he holds. The sword is blessed with amazing power yet cursed that it demands lifeforce once it’s drawn. Daisuke’s combat style involves quick strikes and accurate rather than brute force. Daisuke tries to gather as much information about the monsters he fights, that way he can make calculated decisions and lower the risk of collateral damage.  
Daisuke has a preference to fight solo, but some battles can’t be fought by one man alone and sometimes things turn out the way he cooperates with others. He doesn’t mind taking the lead nor to follow orders. He will always state his thoughts if he deems necessary.

Nature: Daisuke likes the tranquillity of nature.
Solitude: Daisuke is usually treated as an outcast until his skills are required, he prefers to be in solitude and has no one around him.
Animals: Animals don’t judge a person and they don’t speak. They are great companions.
Dislikes:
Prejudice: He dislikes people with a prejudiced view of people and the world.
Monsters: Monsters, a word that holds a different meaning for each person. But for Daisuke, it means, a being who kills for pleasure or does unspeakable things.
No emotions: Daisuke has little to no emotions due to the process of becoming a monster hunter.
Motivations:
Killing monsters: It’s a noble profession.
Helping those who need it: Daisuke might be the victim of bias at times by people, but it doesn’t stop him from helping people I need (for a price of course).
Finding another purpose to life: Daisuke wonders at times if there is more to life.
Fears:
Forever without emotion: Daisuke hopes that he will regain his emotions one day.
Failure: He is afraid that he will make a mistake someday that will cause the death of an innocent person.
Choosing between evil: Daisuke hopes he will never have to choose between one evil or the other, if he has to then he rather not choose at all.
