Ugh. How could it have come to this? How could she have been so stupid and unaware? Narumi grimaced under her breath as she had just grasped the extend of her situation. Or all she could anyways. Only a few moments before, the Kitsune had awoken in a small metal room. Bother her hands were tightly chained to the wall, but her legs were free. The chamber was dimly light, the only light coming from a shaded mesh above her, with what seemed like a glowing red lacrima above, casting an eerie red glow inside the cell. Across from her was a door with a small slot that looked like it could be opened from the outside, but no visible lock could be seen. To sum it up, she had obviously been kidnapped. But by who and why? The question still eluded her. The last thing she could remember was falling asleep in some Inn. In a remote town far from any other civilization. Her best guess was that whoever her captors were had drugged the Kitsune in her sleep, and took her to... Wherever this place was! There was a slight pain in her neck, which Narumi had only assumed was where they put the needle. Even now she could still feel the faint effects of the drug in her system. Her senses were still jumbled together, and her vision seemed slightly disorientated. However, none of the effects could stop her from feeling the faint vibration in the walls and floor, and the sounds of steam pipes and gears quickly working together... She was onboard some machine it seemed. But where?

A few minutes of silently thinking to herself, the Kitsune was finally disturbed. She could hear muffled footsteps shifting outside the steel door, and suddenly the small eye slot popped open. Her ears perked up and she slowly raised her head to see two ominous green goggles staring at her. They disappeared for a moment, and then the slot closed. Muffled voices exchanged some dialogue until the loud sound of a chain echoed through the chamber. The door shifted, and then slowly opened. Within an instant, Narumi's body was mauled by two large men in odd uniforms, both sporting the same pair of green goggled masks and hoods. They quickly unlatched the chains holding confining her, before stabbing the Kitsune's neck with another needle. She grimaced in pain, before the effects of the drug suddenly intensified, distorting her senses even more. Pulling her up, the two men proceeded to drag her out the door down a long hallway. A smaller figure seemed to be trailing them, dressed in the same getup as her captors. They were holding some small notepad, jotting down notes before finally speaking... "Subject #392 'Wraith' will be confined to the upper deck of sector B for further testing..."

A few minutes later they had finally reached their destination. Through the long metal hallways lit only by dim red lights, they brought her to a much larger chamber. It seemed heavily monitored by similar figures, except they were holding weapons. They brought the Kitsune up to a rather odd machine, and hooked her up to it. Clasping her hands and feet into small slots, they let her go as her head hung. Trying desperately to shake off the effects of the drug... The smaller figure looked over to a group of guards. "Go grab the other subject." He told them. They simply nodded and proceeded through a pair of doors...

His wrist were cold. He hated the cold. And when he shivered, it sent a jolt through his senses, causing his vision to waver as the blonde would open his eyes, slowly, after what seemed like eons of sleep. He'd search his memories of what happened prior, and all he remembers is a static presence trailing his steps and the semblance of falling face first after a harsh impact to his head still lingering atop his blonde mop, where his response was two seconds too late to even manage a defensive action. He'd recall the dazzle of lights that Rose Garden boasted to no end, the natural urge of wanting to curb a thirst to wonder, and a gut-wrenching feeling of being watched as he slid himself down a narrow road at half-past midnight.

It obviously didn't end well for him, judging by the alerting development that came in the form of heavily bound hands and his weapon buzzing crazily at his waist -a forefront distinction of trouble from his spirits, no doubt.

His empty blue stare would pan over the atmosphere around him, and for whatever reason, this entirely new setting was devoid of any form of light apart from the dim lacrima that loomed above, casting small shadows that would shuffle silently across the heavy metal walls. His entire being would react to the change with a sluggish response, grunting with a grogginess as his thoughts swirled around inconsistently in his head when a sharp and staggering pain slithered up the base of his neck. Questions arose in the rational part of his thinking, but he had no will to attest to vividly attest to them apart from a shaky breath, huffing once to remind himself that he was still alive, and twice to stabilize his mental state that was evidently robbed of its consciousness a few hours before.

Shifting ever so slightly, his ears would register the presence of chains running up along the walls as a noise akin to rattling metal invaded the empty space. It was a very limited movement as is, but it seemed to cause a disturbance from the outer regions of his current confinement. A similarly ill-lit light would waft from the crack in the large metal door, pooling at the entrance like oozing blood, and from it, a hooded individual with goggles for eyes made his presence known to the blonde, deftly clicking at a pen as they scribbled something unto a clipboard.

"...Subject #492, 'Blade', seems to be stable." a voice muttered, deeply, as if the person was talking through a form of communication device. "Will now instigate second dosage."

A pair of burly hands seemed to concede with their intentions and hauled the man's figure from his hoisted position, the chain noises causing his entire to brain react in a negative way as he endured a slow-building migraine. His face was pressed down against the floor, a pair of fingers gathering his hair elsewhere before piercing the skin at his lower neck with a long, prodding needle.

"Kh..." he groaned, not entirely from the pain of a more intense vertigo, but more so from his helplessness and his inability to stop these weird occurrences as they were. His entire form went slack as a sizzling liquid seeped into the pulse in his veins, causing his heart to slow as if sending him into a passive trance.

"Second dosage clear." he heard them say, regarding the voice with a hazy undertone to it, "Subject #492 is ready to be transported to Sector B."

Abruptly, a large, masculine figure would deftly lurch downward and toss his still state over a shoulder, mimicking the act of carrying a sack of potatoes or the similar sort on a busy market day. Was that all he was? Produce?

The next few instances, to the swordsman, were the blurry faces of men in hoods and green-tint goggles. His environment would shift, from bleak to red, to black to a buzzing shade of neon green, where an influx of machines and individuals with several guns in their hands stood on standby. There was a clear indication that the machine at the center was a spot reserved for him, but he had no means of responding to them, much less fight their intentions as his figure was aptly hefted unto a chair of sorts, his limbs tucked into a pair of openings that was connected to the machine.

Edging his head one way, he idly made out the presence of a curious figure in a similarly daunting situation. But because of the way his vision seemed to fluctuate, he'd only distinguish the black and blue coloration apart from the feminine outline.

'...Is she...part of...too..?' he thought to himself, weakly.

Narumi's conscious began to fade in and out repeatedly, but she could now feel the position she had been placed in was vertical... Her hands felt the familiar cold grip of iron, and now her legs felt the same way... Her head hung low as her ears did the same. Trying desperately to retain her vision, she could only make out the faint silhouette of her legs strapped to heavy looking machinery. However, she was suddenly disturbed by another sound. A loud banging like sound, coming from not too far off. She forced her head upwards to squint with her faint golden eyes to see the source of the sound, only to see another person being dragged in by simialr looking people to the ones that brought her here... It was a man...

"What is he doing here... Where IS here... Ugh... My head aches..." Narumi thought silently to herself, staring at the odd figure as he too was strapped into a machine next to hers. Finally, the green goggled men stepped back, and went over to odd looking consoles... They began pressing an array of buttons as lights beeped next to Naru's head on the machine. Her ears twitched with pain from the loud noises, and she grimaced, staring back at the figure who held the clipboard. "Begin test procedure on Wraith. Don't kill her. We need to learn how the magic reacts." Narumi gave an odd look that could be described as a mixture between a questioning expression, and an annoyed one. However, it didn't last long. Soon, one of the masked men nodded and turned a switch on one of the consoles...

Soon, the machine lit up and suddenly, large sparks of green electricity began shocking the Kitsune! She let out a yell of pain as the shocks reached every part of her body. It lasted for several seconds as all the the masked men closley eyed her, and the screens behind the machine. The shocks stopped and Narumi lay still... Panting as her body smoked. It burned. She had never felt pain like that before. A series of numbers appeared on the screen before the man spoke again. "Again." Her eyes widened again, and soon the shocks returned! The machine sparked and flared to life again, and Narumi was met with another wave of excruciatingly painful electrical discharges. "AAAAAEUGH!" The same process over and over again... Each time, Narumi began feeling something inside of her get stronger and stronger. Her golden eyes flaring with rage as she struggled to retain her consciousness...

He'd hear her scream, and it was a painful sound, enough to border a sense of insanity from a mind-numbing sting. Were it to be his own fate, he wondered, briefly, as a buzz of electricity caused his skin to prickle and bump. From his spot on the strange machine, he could feel the men that huddled before him being the ominous kind, their eyes seemingly searching the depth of his existence for an answer to a question that obviously didn't mean any well for him. The swordsman breathed in sharply, visibly posing a struggle, but physically unable to truly do so. His face would skew as he registered the feminine screams with a vivid image of the hell she might have been going through, desperately trying to free his limbs from their metallic binding and rip his sword off his hip. But because of the severity of an administered toxin that was steadily pulsing through his veins, the swordsman appeared to have ceased any sort of hesitation, his body like dead weight.

"Beginning procedure for 492." a voice said, muddling through his thoughts from one corner, close to the various mechanisms that lined the walls.

Inside his head, his spirit flared up significantly, forming strategies in a panic as the goggled men rolled a finger over a strange switch, deftly flipping it and causing a hysteric sensation to gobble him whole. The feeling was akin to being exposed to large amounts of electricity, racing up his nerves at a frightful pace. Terith bit back at his screams, though the action itself was nothing but vain, doing him no good as his jaw was lined into a sharp grit from the intense pain that was threatening to go over his natural threshold.

    "Increasing voltage."

With wide, open eyes, his sterling blue pupils would dilate, his breaths reaching a new found crescendo as he let out several low and silent screams. It seemed like it was ages ago when he was first exposed to a serious amount of agony like this, however, if the man were ever given a chance, then he'd definitely consider this psuedo-experiment on them as one of the more exemplary examples of pain untold, more so than anything he'd endure in his past travels.

No one gave a clear hint of why he was here, or why it had been him, specifically. Perhaps it just wasn't his day, or maybe something else entirely. But whatever the reasons, the swordsman feared that their ministrations were far from stopping.

He breathed in sharply, a raspy tone tumbling off the walls of his throat, he could feel an energy bubbling inside him, grasping at him, clawing at his insides and wishfully wanting to be set free. The color in his hair began to drain out, changing from black, to white, to black again,  until nothing remained of his blonde mop but silver strands of muffled hair, matted by sweat. His irises were visibly paling, too, adopting a golden sheen from beneath the swirl of cerulean. The men around him took to this change with a click to their pens and to his chagrin, it seemed that they were pleased with the development, several eerie smiles digging into their cheeks.

"B-bastards!" he screeched, managing one word before crumpling back under the pressure. There had to be a way out of this untimely bout, there had to be a loop hole in their operations. Otherwise, he'd see no end to this humiliating set of experiments.

The pain had stopped for now, but Narumi couldn't begin to guess for how long. Her mind was in too much of a blur to even think straight. She let her head hang down as the rest of her body smoked from the aftermath of the electrical burns. However, her ear twitched once she heard the screams of the man again. Forcing herself to look, she saw him through her hazy vision receiving similar treatment that she had. "W- Why are they doing this..? Th- This isn't right!" She thought silently to herself. She couldn't watch another person suffer like this, and it seemed she wouldn't be forced to for much longer. After giving the man his shocking, the strange men would continue the same process as they did on the Kitsune. They would eye the large board, eagerly looking for something that eluded her. And then they turned on her again... Bad idea.

"Shock Wraith again." One of them said. The men at the terminal simply nodded, and flipped the switch. With another searing burn, the electricity came back and filled up the Kitsune's body! Her eyes opened wide as she struggled to not black out from the pain! Her screams becoming a natural sound to this chamber... However, despite all the pain, she could feel something getting stronger inside...

    What was it?
    Pain.
    It was getting stronger...
    Frustration.
    Stronger...
    Anger!
    Stronger!
    HATRED!

Within an instant, the electrical surges surrounding Narumi exploded! The entire chamber was filled with shocks as the machine holding the two test subjects malfunctioned, and shut down! The man quickly ducked as the wave of electricity passed over them, however a few unlucky got shocked and were disintegrated on the spot! "D- Detain them!" One would yell nervously as the Kitsune leaped from her confinement, her eyes glowing with a blue range rather then their usual golden hue! She slammed her fist onto the ground, creating a shock wave of some sort of spirit magic. It blew several men backwards as the Kitsune raised an arm, and a magic seal appeared behind her! Bursting out of the seal were four, giant blue ghost like claws! They rushed out and began grabbing, and hitting the scientists! A few braver souls got their stun batons and attempted to rush the Kitsune. She could hear them coming however, and her hands began to glow! With inhuman speed, she immediately jabbed her fist into one, throwing him around onto his companion before ducking a swing from behind, and sweeping her legs backwards to trip her attacker! Within an instant, she teleported in a flash of blue behind another, grabbing him by the neck and throwing him into the metal wall...

The sirens began to blare, as the few remaining guards tried to prevent their escape... Narumi simply began walking slowly towards the door they were blocking, her eyes glowing with a cyan colored rage!
