Kaori & Tia; The Great Wolly Mammoth: B Rank: Private Nviajx11

This tale begins in a small tribal settlement in a frozen hallscape known as the Silent Galciers. For the longest time Lady Ceostra wanted to obtain a rarity from the land here as a means of showing her clan's capability. It was a beast no other clan had caught, and very few mages could fight without sustaining many injuries. Kaori had taken up the task after entering Lady Ceostra's room and spotting the notice on her desk. She didn't want any of the others to go since it was dangerous, and didn't tell Lady Ceostra for the same reason. Upon 'borrowing' the page, Kaori had set out to the settlement to make her preparations for the hunt.

Much to her luck, the local people were welcoming of outsiders. The notice Lady Ceostra had didn't include many details, only that she wanted to obtain a Wooly Mammoth. Kaori had met with the leader of the local group and spoke with him about the task, stating that she wished to bring glory to her ally's clan. "If it's glory you want, then you'll want to bring in the alpha. He's the biggest of them all, and no one dares attack him." were his exact words. That was how Kaori decided she'd go after the biggest and baddest of the herd, and knew that she'd need a plan for it.

Kaori had spent several months in the village preparing for the hunt. She'd worked up a plan, and even made arrangements for transport. The tent she was given on the far side of the settlement contained twenty, twenty-five foot long reels of rope and an equal number of thick spikes for each end of the rope. She'd gotten in touch with a man from Neutral Ground to have a shipment of guns made and delivered that'd fire the spikes deep into the ice to tie the target down. Lady Ceostra wasn't a cruel woman, and neither was Kaori; neither could harm an animal light heartedly.

In the time Kaori was waiting on the shipment, she'd used one such weapon she already had with her for use on smaller game to train some of the tribe's hunters. At first they were awful at aiming them, and lacked the ability to compensate for recoil; but, in time they learned. The only problem was that there was one extra gun and rope, and the shipment was yet to arrive. As noon hit over the tribe, Kaori pulled out her iLac and called the manufacturer. "Hello?" the man replied on the other end. "This is Kay, I ordered twenty-five rail cannons from you a few months back. I was wondering what the status of the order was." Kaori replied, getting straight to business. "Ah, yes. I finished the order and sent it off a week ago. It's traveling by foot, so I hired one of those guildmage folk to escort it. I explained they were being used to capture a dangerous animal without hurting it so they'd know they weren't escorting weapons of mass destruction; though I do hope they didn't get lost, or worse." her contact responded. "Thanks, I'll await the arrival." Kaori said before hanging up the line. It was roughly a week and some spare time from Neutral Grounds to Rose Garden, and from there a ferry could be used to avoid some walking.

The village was fairly small, only consisting of thirty or so adults and five children. The outside of it was lined with whale ribs, arranged so they curved outward to prevent wild animals from hopping the wall. The houses were made of logs with the exception of Kaori's which was a fur tent since it had to be quickly set up. A fire inside cast a warm, orange glow and kept it from getting cold. The townsfolk were all wearing thick, fur coats and had a decent tan to them; showing they were frequently outside. Being so far north, the settlement got several months of sunlight before getting several months of moon so the sun exposure warranted a darker complexion. When the escort arrived, she would be lead to Kaori's tent where the masked woman would be combing over some documents at a makeshift desk.

    Appearance:

It was a rather cold journey to Tia's destination to the Silent Glaciers, and Tia was as pleased as she was dissatisfied by the setting. She loved the gloominess of the air as gentle snowflakes fell from the sky, which made her not fear her skin being damaged by the sun's harmful rays, but she disliked how cold it was. She had purchased a heavy coat recently from a local boutique, while she was preparing to go on this quest. This coat was lilac, and rapped ever so gently around Tia, causing her to feel extra warm walking through the thick snow. She was following a trail to a village in these glaciers. The reasoning behind this was that she was asked to assist a fellow legal guild, Lamia Scale, in locating and taming a giant mammoth deep inside the glacier. She was told she would be meeting another woman with similar hair color to that of Tia's, but she was unsure who this would be. She figured it would be a member of Lamia Scale, but she did not know as of yet. She had been studying about the glaciers in a library of Oahu, reading about how harsh these winters seemed to be inside of these locations. She also read of only a few villages inside this area, but they were scattered in a way that would keep them safe on the outskirts of the glaciers. The snow was a beautiful white, which seemed extremely pure and balanced between ice and water. As she walked through the cold air, her footprints could be seen clearly behind her, which showed that she was wearing hiking boots. She knew that if she got cold enough she could requip a fiery book to keep her warmer and melt the snow, but she felt as though this was unnecessary.

As she finally arrived in the village, she noticed how all of the village-folk appeared tan and in heavy clothing, which made Tia look outlandish. Yes, she was wearing heavy clothing, but her skin was the palest white you could think of. Many people seemed to think she was sickly, but it was just her natural color due to her staying out of the sun. As she wandered into the village she was instructed to arrive in, she was greeted by a tall woman which appeared to be guarding the village from intruders. "Hello ma'am, how may I help you?" the guard asked, slightly raising her weapon in case Tia appeared to cause harm to the small village. The village was encased in walls that appeared to be made of bones, which were an ivory color. It appeared that it would not be easy to break into this village due to the guards standing in every entrance, but the village on the inside looked very defenseless. "I am looking to be meeting up with a guild member of Lamia Scale." she mentioned, and began to shiver as the wind picked up. "Her tent is over there, and there is a fire inside for you to warm up. Since you look sickly, I would also recommend going to the infirmary." the guard exclaimed, pointing her spear toward a tent that stood out compared to the rest of the wooden houses. "I am not sickly, but thank you for your help." Tia said, hearing a scoff come from the guard as she walked through the snow toward the tent. As she approached the tent, she bent over and slid her nails through a small peak of the fur tent cover and the supports. "Hello, I am Tia Haiku, and I am here to assist a Lamia Scale guild member in a quest. May I come in to warm up?" Tia said, faintly. She could feel the warmth of the fire through the fur coating, which made her desire to go inside of the tent even greater. However, she would wait to be invited in, therefore she would not startle the Lamia Scale guild member.

The sound of someone speaking came through the tent door as Kaori was almost done with organizing the price estimates for a special investment she was making. She'd set her pen down and got up from the desk, moving to the tent door, which was really just a leather flap held in place by magnetic clasps, and partially opened it to see a woman who was quite pale. She'd introduced herself as an ally to Lady Ceostra's clan, and requested entry into her tent. Through the slits in her mask, Kaori examined the woman to assess her threat level but ultimately determined her to be moderately threatening and not worthy of suspicion. She opened the flap and pressed herself against the girl's body, wrapping her arms around her in a very warm embrace. She was taller than Kaori by quite a bit, so the ninja's head ended up just above her bust.

While to most, the hug would look like a greeting, and in many ways it was; it was also a means of Kaori checking Tia's mental and emotional stability. She would notice a feeling of neutrality come over her while Kaori was hugging Tia. It was a sign that Kaori had used her natural born ability to link the minds of others to gain a better understanding of each other. The girl was... sweet, but not so sweet as to be naive. She'd have problems if this were a different mission, but this one would require no bloodshed, so her disdain for cold blooded murder wouldn't be a problem. That was the extent of intrusion Kaori was willing to exert on her, and Kaori released her, sliding her hands from the girl's back to hold one of her own and lead her in. "Please, come in Miss Haiku." Kaori said warmly, her voice slightly muffled and distorted through the mask. A table inside would have a chair available for her, and next to it was an empty cup on a saucer. Kaori would walk over to the fire and pull the kettle from it, pouring the water into a nearby tea pot. It was obvious that Tia wasn't the person Kaori was expecting, but she was down a man and she said she was here to help. A few moments later, one of the guards had poked his head through the curtain.

Guard: "Excuse me, another person arrived looking for you."
Kaori: "Does he have any cargo with him?"
    Guard: "Yes, twenty-five rail cannons."
    Kaori: "What of his escort?"
    Guard: "Wolves."
Kaori: "Understood, have him rest here while we work. I'll take him home when my contact gets here with the metal bird."
Guard: "Ja. One last thing... is... Is she okay?"

Kaori looked over to Tia and knew exactly what he was referring to. She let out a small sigh while looking into the tea pot, watching as the tea was drawing. "She was born in a place that was as snowy as this one, but not as sunny. Because of that her skin turned white so her tribe could blend in better during hunts. Please relay this to the others so they aren't too concerned." Kaori answered. She knew it was most likely not true, but the explanation was something easy for tribals to understand and accept. The guard accepted the reply, and apologized to Tia for the misunderstanding before exiting the tent. Kaori walked over with the tea and began pouring it. "This is Saffron-Chai tea with ginger root, I hope you like it." she said with a humble tone. While she went to get the sugar, Kaori said "My name's Kaori; you can call me Kay. Allow me to clear up a misinformation you were given..."

Kaori set down a small pot with sugar in it, and placed a small spoon next to it. She then sat down and crossed one of her legs over the other in a very lady-like position. "I'm not a member of Lady Ceostra's clan. I am an associate of her's, a good fr-" she stopped herself, not daring to label Gisen or anyone else as such "-Ally. I assist her clan where possible. Our task is to capture the patriarch of a herd of mammoth." Kaori paused and walked out the tent, coming back in with a massive gun that weighed considerably less than it appeared to. She set it down on the table and walked over to the sets of rope, and the three foot long spikes that were set aside and brought them over as well. "We'll be using these to do so. I have many issues with injuring my targets and letting them live, so I'm going for as little damage as possible. Each end of this rope will have a spike attached to it. These guns fire the spikes into the ice, and the ropes keep the animal held down. Once immobilized, a contact of mine will come with one of those metal bird things to pick it up and transport it to the eastern coast. This will cause as little harm to the target as possible, as well as endanger as few lives as possible. The only trouble will be getting the first few ropes in." Kaori would explain, after which she'd ask if Tia had any questions.

Post by anastasia 31st August 2017, 1:34 pm

As Tia was welcomed into the tent, she was greeted by a woman that appeared to be a ninja, as well as a warm and tight embrace. Tia was much taller than the woman, which made Tia blush as she was pressed against her. She felt a surge of comfort through her body, which made Tia knew this woman was trustworthy and would cause no harm to her. As their embrace ended, she sat down in an empty chair next to a table with what appeared to be an empty saucer. The woman named "Kaori" got up and poured boiling water into a teapot, which caused a small trail of smoke to come out the hole of the kettle. This filled the tent with the scent of ginger and chai, which made Tia gush. She had always been a fan of tea, and would tend to drink it while inside the libraries she frequently visited in towns she traveled to. A guard poked his head through the tent and informed Kaori of an order that she had placed had arrived, which startled Tia as she did not expect anyone to burst through that way. She payed no attention to him until she heard him ask Kaori about her health, which resulted in her rolling her eyes. "Yes, I'm fi-" Tia began to say, as Kaori began to make up a story for the city to pay no attention to the paleness of her skin. "Thank you, for clearing that up. Although that is extremely false, I applaud you for making that up so quickly." Tia exclaimed, sliding her ear-muffs from her head to around her neck. She checked to make sure her crescent pin was still in her hair, since this may come into play later for magical means. This was something she had acquired as a child, which allowed her to glide from high areas if she was wearing any sort of headgear.

As she was doing so, Kaori poured the warm tea into the glass next to her, which let out a puff of steam after it settled. Tia blew onto the tea to cool it off, and began to sip it. Kaori began to explain the mission they were set to do, as well as the misinformation she was relayed by another guild member of hers. She apologized for mistaking her as a Lamia Scale guild member, but assumed that she was used to receiving this statement frequently. Kaori walked outside and brought in a massive gun. She explained how they would use these and chains to capture this mammoth that they were assigned to attain. Tia nodded, and began to take a few big gulps of the tea Kay had made for her. "Thank you for elaborating on the details. I am feeling well rested, so shall we get going? I am unfamiliar with these parts, so you would need to lead the way. I nearly got lost on the way here, actually." Tia asked, finishing the rest of the chai-ginger tea.

Kaori hadn't replied earlier when Tia thanked her. The fact that she didn't scold Kaori for lying so grandly, but rather praised her, meant that the girl wasn't as much a saint as her looks would imply. She had mentioned that she didn't know her way around, and that Kaori would need to lead her. "I'll be splitting off from the main group. If you're coming with me, then you should know who you're working with. Earlier you thought I was a member of Lady Ceostra's clan. Understand that I'm nothing like them. I was born covered in blood, from a woman who was also covered in blood. I lived a life where blood and grass were always together. If I see an enemy, they die. If I find a loose end, they die. If I feel threatened, I attack. I lie, cheat, and steal whenever I'm required to; and do so very well." Kaori's tone was very matter of fact as she spoke. She pressed her hand to her mask and continued. "This mask is a representation of who and what I am. I'm nothing more than a shell, a means of deception, and above all; I am not a human. I lost that privilege a long time ago..."

Kaori let out a sigh and walked held the rail cannon out for Tia. "But understand I'll never attack an ally while they're still my ally, or sell them out; I'd rather die. I show those under my protection more kindness than they'd ever expect of someone nicknamed 'Demon of Wrath' and I do so with little effort. If you're willing to come along knowing death will follow, then grab one of these. If not, you can leave and be escorted by one of my clansmen with guaranteed safety." Kaori's tone was softer, and carried no signs of deceit. In the corner of the room, sitting on his knees would be a man with black hair. He wore a shihakusho on his body, and over his face was a dark grey mask that had no features at all, its surface barren like a sheet of blank paper. He was silent the whole time, so it'd be understandable if Tia didn't notice him. If Tia took the cannon from Kaori, she'd notice it only weighed a few pounds- 3 kilograms to be exact, despite being four feet long. Kaori would say "Welcome aboard." with a satisfied tone. If she decided to avoid the mission, Kaori would order the man in the corner to escort Tia to the nearest city.

After their exchange, Kaori would exit the tent. If Tia were coming along, she'd look at the man in the corner and say "Iku, assemble the hunters." with a commanding voice. The man would stand up and reply "Yes, my lady." and exit. If she were paying attention, Tia would notice that neither Kaori or her fiend made a single sound while moving around. The crunch of the ice wasn't heard even though they left footprints behind.

Kaori would wait in front the village for the men to assemble, a cart with more rail cannons in it awaited; all of them loaded. The twenty four men and women all lined up in four rows of six and looked very strong. Kaori would pace back and forth between the first and sixth man while speaking in a very strong voice. "For the past couple months you've all trained for this purpose. You survived sparring matches with someone labeled as a demon, as well as a man who earned the title of Dragon. You mastered using weapons never before used by your people, and are now going to take down a foe never before taken down." the warriors all let out a very short 'Ah-ooh' and stomped as acknowledgement of the truth in her words. "Ikuchi will be leading you into battle. Let any man or woman unwilling to follow him step forth and challenge him for his position." Kaori looked to the group, scanning for volunteers. After several seconds, no one had stepped up. "I'm glad we're all in agreement. Miss Haiku here and I will be moving ahead, clearing out anything that'd hinder you. Come up and grab your weapon, give it a name, and treat it like your woman; because just like them if you lose it, you won't get another." Kaori turned and walked to Tia. "The fun part's over. Guess it's time to work for a living." she said with a somewhat sarcastic tone and began moving forward.

The first set of enemies would come after a good thirty or so minutes of trudging through the snow. From afar, Kaori could see the outline of their white, scaly hides as they lay partially submerged in the snow. "Miss Haiku, do you see those Glacier Reptiles?" she would ask while crouched down and pointing to their location. Kaori looked around the area, and it seemed that the only direction to go was forward. To the left were cliffs that lead to mountains, to the right was an entire colony of them. "There's only four in the middle there, it'd be the easiest path. I'm not a fan of harming animals; so you wouldn't happen to have a plan that doesn't involve me skinning them afterwards, would you?"

As Tia thanked Kaori, she sensed that something seemed to be wrong. "Perhaps I upset her?" she thought to herself, tapping her fingers on the table she was sitting at. Kaori approached her and began to emphasize that she was not part of Ceostra's guild, and remarked on her gore-filled past and present. "It seems as though you have been through a lot, Kay. I wish I could say the same, but I have surprisingly been through very little." Some may seem this as fortunate, while some may see this as a curse. Tia began to feel a tear beginning to produce in her eye, which she swiped away onto her coat. This was because of the thought that she had no idea who her parents were, and desired to know who and where they were, if they were alive. She shrugged off this thought, and reached for the rail cannon in which Kay was holding. "I would never hurt an ally as well. I understand that harm can follow us on this quest, but I will risk it if it means receiving knowledge about this area. I am a heavy researcher, and I would love to learn more about this place." she explained, grabbing the cannon from her arms. This was surprisingly light, and Tia swung the band used to carry it across her chest. She flipped it onto her back, and bowed to the ninja. Tia then noticed a third person in the room, which looked plain as day. He got up and joined them walking out the tent, following behind.

Kay commanded the man, as well as twenty-three others, and explained the mission to them. She seemed to be a very strong commander to the men, in which she commented that they had been training harshly for months for this quest. "Wow," Tia commented at that, very softly. She felt as though she would lack behind, as she hadn't trained at all for this. However, she felt as though she could defend herself in great lengths if she needed to. She also expressed that they would lead the pack, straying ahead to protect these men from any threats that came their way. Tia was excited about this, but did not express it in her face at all. She had found her extremely beautiful, and was intrigued by her mannerisms. She wanted to learn more about Kaori, which she felt as though she would. They began to walk forward out of the city, walking through the thick snow. The snow was very cold, but luckily Tia had came prepared with great clothing to suit this job. She was most thankful for her earmuffs, which made her sides of her head feel warm and soft. The wind was surprisingly calm, but caused frequent blasts of cold air against their faces.  In the distance, Kaori mentioned that she could see the outlines of glacier reptiles ahead. Tia looked, and could see four standing in the middle path. She realized it was the best option to go through, and was requested to take care of the animals for Kaori, as she did not like to do that to creatures. "I will try my best." Tia responded, and began walking toward the four reptiles in the distance.

"ReQuip: Eternity of Burns." Tia said softly while she was walking, which resulted in a red silhouette forming in Tia's right hand. It then formed into a crimson red book, which had designs of flames etched in on the exterior. The radiance of this book made the snow melt around her, revealing a thick layer of rocky ice. This let her run toward the shadows, getting a better glimpse of them. They weren't too big, and had white scales. They were sitting in the snow, guarding the path. "Please move, or I will have to use force." she told the reptiles, and they all stood their guard. "Very well." she said, holding the book in front of her. She took her other hand out the pocket of her jacket, and lay her fingers on top of the cover. She swiped the cover with her nails in their direction, which blasted a cone of fire onto all four of them. These flames were pure crimson red, and emitted heat all around the area. This scorched their bodies, leaving burns on their hides. They also had trouble recovering from the attack, as it damaged them greatly. "I'm sorry, but this is necessary." she whispered to the reptiles, lowering the book to her side. The reptiles were very close to being defeated, but she did have to wait to be able to use the flame attack again. She turned around to see Kaori's silhouette in the distance, as well as the other men.

It seemed that Tia had taken it upon herself to dispatch the four enemies, to which Kaori gave no signs of being against. She watched the woman go down the snow covered hill and confront the four reptiles in a fairly calm manner. 'She's got balls.' Kaori said to herself mentally, giving her ally credit for being able to approach wild animals so casually. She watched as the fight began, and quickly seemed to end. Kaori's eye was drawn to something slowly moving across the field of white, camouflaged quite well if Kaori were another animal and not one of the ones that could see shadows. The creature was using the distraction the reptiles provided to get a source of fresh meat.

Kaori vanished from her position and began reappearing every ten yards before instantly vanishing again to reappear a bit closer. Kaori began channelling energy into her fists, causing her hands to begin glowing bright white. The large cat was closing in on Tia, preparing to pounce at her as Kaori closed in. Kaori reeled her arm back, preparing to strike. She locked eyes with the snow leopard as the world seemed to slow down for both entities. Kaori's fist lit ablaze with a massive white flame that cause the surrounding area to heat up rapidly. It was a spell she hadn't been able to cast properly during training, but even if the same thing happened here as during her training it would be beneficial. Her fist collided with the leopard's shoulder, and Kaori could feel it, a surge of energy going through her. However, as always, the energy was too much for Kaori to control. "Shit." Kaori audibly said just before her spell exploded, sending her and the leopard in opposite directions with a cloud of white smoke between the two.

Kaori landed on her knees and got up quick, but also began coughing from inhaling the smoke from her failed attack. 'That's what you get for using magic you don't even know.' the voice of one of her companions echoed in her head. The snow leopard had recovered as well and turned to face Kaori while snarling. "You wanna get turned to Mayaa no Ushiru?" Kaori asked in a somewhat ticked off tone. Her white over-coat had been completely destroyed by the explosion and as a strong gust of frigid wind passed her, the remains of the white shirt with blue trimming had flown off Kaori's back while burning away. Kaori held her right hand out and caused a series of tan, brown, and black particles began forming around her and converging on her outstretched hand. A magic circle appeared and began moving away from her hand, leaving a sword in its wake.

Kaori began walking towards the predator with a rather calm demeanor, and no signs of fear for being eaten. The leopard began charging forward but Kaori only stopped in place. She held the bone sword to her side in a very relaxed position and waited. When the leopward had gotten within a matter of feet from Kaori, so close, but yet so far; Kaori vanished and a massive red line appeared from the tip of its nose to the base of its skull. Kaori reappeared behind the leopward and flicked the bone longsword in her hand, splattering the leopards blood on the ice. The sword vanished, turning into nothingness as it returned to its rightful owner.

Kaori looked at the four reptiles that were still partially alive, but too weak to move. Four versions of herself appeared over them, all ramming katanas into the backs of their skulls to ensure their lives were ended before vanishing in a puff of smoke. She walked over to her first victim, the leopard and got on one knee while gently rubbing the fur on its stomach. "Gomen'nasai." she said in a soft, sorrowful tone. "Watashi wa anata no tsugi no jinsei de heiwa o mitsukeru koto o negatte imasu." she added, providing a small prayer for the beautiful predator.

As Kaori stood back up, another copy of herself appeared behind her and took off the white shirt with blue trimming she was wearing. A nonchalant toss to Kaori who caught it without turning around to look would precede the copy beginning to get to work on the leopard. Kaori put her new shirt on and looked to Tia. "Are you alright, Miss Haiku?" she would ask in a calm voice. "Perhaps the next enemy should be approached as a unit." Kaori would recommend before pressing on. While walking, Kaori would speak with Tia. "Miss Haiku, I envy you all... Did you know that?" she would say calmly, as though such things were normal to say. "You people from the magic clans can use magic at will. I'm nearly unable to control mine to such an extent. Some spells are remedial enough for me to use, but others are... well, you saw what happened earlier. It's another reason I could never be part of one of the clans from this place; I simply don't belong." she would say while moving a branch out of her way.

While Tia was defeating the reptiles, she heard various noises behind her. However, she showed no concern of these, since she was the type of person to typically focus on one thing at a time. After she struck the reptiles with the cone of fire, they began to flail around since they were too weak to move, which made Tia shed a tear. The single tear trickled down her face and fell onto the icy ground, freezing into the environment. As she knelt down to feel the frozen tear, she noticed four shadows form in front of her, killing the reptiles in a quick fashion. They burst into shadows, and startled Tia since she thought it could be a possible enemy. As she turned around, she noticed Kaori walking toward a dying leopard on the snowy ground. "Is that what was behind me?" Tia thought to herself mentally, which startled her. As Kaori was rubbing the leopard's stomach, it let out its last breath while she was in prayer. She then walked over to Tia, and they began to strike up conversation while walking through the snow.

"I am totally fine, are you okay?" she asked, putting her hand on Kaori's shoulder. She noticed Kay had changed shirts after the fight, but she did not take note of this, as it didn't mean much to her. As they began to speak more, Tia noticed she still had her fiery book cradled inside her arms. "Whoops, I seem to have forgot." she exclaimed, raising the book to chest level in between the two girls. In her mind, she ordered it to disappear, as it had fulfilled its purpose. The book erupt into flames inside Tia's hands, which did not startle her in any way. "These flames are harmless, do not be afraid." she said to Kay, as she pressed her hands together to put them out. The flames burned a beautiful purple-pink, along with crimson undertones. Despite these flames being harmless, they did warm them up. This made her hands feel thawed, and she slipped them back into her gloves. After, Kaori seemed to mention that she admired Tia and her guild members, as they could control their magic at will. Tia hugged Kay in a warm embrace, and blushed at the fact that she admired her magic. "I am still learning my magic to this day! I originally was taught it from a hidden book inside the library I grew up in, which was consumed once I opened it. Guilds are the greatest things that have ever happened to me. All new friends, people you can relate to, it's almost everything you could need in one place." she exclaimed, letting out a smile from her normally expressionless mouth.

As they began walking some more, they approached a beautiful cliff-side pathway covered in snow. From the view of the cliff, there was a beautiful stretch of snowy spruce trees stretching as far as the eyes could see. The sun could be seen in that distance, causing the sky to turn a beautiful purple-pink because of the sunset. "Look how beautiful that is!" she exclaimed, pointing into the distance toward the sun setting.

Kaori listened to the clueless girl as she gushed about how amazing the magic clans were, driving the spike deeper into Kaori's spine. She couldn't dream of being part of one, not one that housed good people at least. "Must be nice..." Kaori said in a soft, saddened tone that was muffled by her mask. Not much further along, the two had come across a scene normally found on a postcard or calendar. A large expanse of coniferous trees, gently covered in ice and snow as the orange rays of sunset bathed them in its warm light. The other girl had lived a good life in Kaori's opinion. She was able to be numb to many things, and remove her focus from the mission to appreciate her surroundings. Kaori had continued walking ahead, saying "The sunsets last several weeks this far north. There's no shortage of time to appreciate it after the mission." with a soft, gentle, respectful, but cold tone.

Kaori wasn't trying to be cruel, or ungrateful towards the other woman. While Kaori didn't request any outside assistance, she knew the girl had been asked by someone to come and make sure she didn't do something dangerous -again- and get almost killed. Her reason for being so cold was that she was beginning to realize the difference between people in Fiore, and people from the Lareci Clan. She grew up with the privilege of seeing the world around her through eyes untouched by war. Kaori's every day was a fight for survival... She grew up fighting the other kids because she was different. She fought the predators in the wild. She fought people who were sent to kill her as a means of forcing surrender. She fought adults from her own clan to get the slightest bit of credit. Then, after all that fighting, she fought wars and armies. Even now, she was fighting a war alone; she had no time for watching the sunset. This girl... she had time for it, meaning she wasn't fighting anything, just enjoying life. Kaori envied that.

After a while of walking some more, Kaori had come across a tree with a large net nailed to it with a rather large spike. She knelt down and picked up the part where the net was torn and began examining the ends. Further ahead, she could see several large gashes in the trees, and some that had been completely crushed. There were no bloodstains in the snow, but there were some on a couple trees in the area. "Whatever happened here, it happened a while ago." Kaori commented in a thought consumed voice. The rest of the group was still a good twenty or thirty minutes behind Kaori and Tia, so she had plenty of time to investigate. Kaori moved back to the net and placed her hand on it, focusing her mind on the flow of time around the object.

A pulse of energy would expand from the net, and all the damaged trees and blood stains on them had vanished, and were replaced by a normal looking forest. Tia, if she was still with Kaori, would see the same thing as Kaori was projecting the past into the present as an illusion. Several small wolves with snowy white fur shot through the trees, one running straight through Kaori. Behind them, a massive wolf that was taller than Kaori- taller than Tia even. The large wolf was blindsided by a net fired from a gun. One of the spikes impaled its leg and pinned it to the trees, but its smaller friends came back and ripped the spike from its leg. The large wolf used its weight and slammed into one of the men, breaking the tree it pinned him to and killing the man. The wolf then took off, bumping into trees as it tried to run on its injured leg. Kaori's illusion slowly faded away, returning to reality. "Two hours..." Kaori said, noting how old the memory way. "The poachers are likely dead, or holed up somewhere... but the wolves might not be..." Kaori began muttering to herself, thinking to the injured one. Kaori began looking into the past again to see where the wolves were headed, though, not projecting it outward as she did before. It seemed they were going in the same direction she was, meaning it was likely that Kaori could find them and make sure they were okay without straying too far from their path.

Post by anastasia 3rd September 2017, 7:32 am

As Tia stopped to appreciate the beautiful scene of the sun setting with Kaori, she shut Tia down and continued to keep walking. It was a very cold response, which caught Tia off guard. "Oh..." she said, and continued walking a few meters behind Kaori. Tia had always appreciated nature, and always tried to stop and see the sights. After all, she grew up inside a library her entire life, which was very restricting when it came to views outside of reading about them in books. She had only seen a sunset a few times before this actually, and none were around mountains and snowy trees. This made her sad, but she felt that she could come back here alone eventually. She had been noticing how different Kaori was than the rest of the mages in guilds, as she felt as though she has been through a lot tougher times than the other mages. Tia had lived a great life, besides not knowing her past before she was found at the library's doorstep. However, this seemed to not even be one-hundredth of what Kay has gone through. "I'm sorry." Tia said, and paced so she could walk right next to Kay. She took a tumbler out of her bag and began to drink the warm tea from it she had packed earlier, since she was beginning to experience thirst.

As they approached a wooded area, there seemed to be a net nailed into one of the trees with a large spike. There was also some blood on the trees, which frightened Tia. "I wonder what happened here.." she commented, inspecting one of the blood stains on a tree. It was indeed old, since it was dry and slightly oxidizing. While she was turned from Kay, she noted hearing a magical sound, which intrigued her. She turned to Kay, and noted she was projecting the past of what happened here. "Woah!" she remarked, and began to watch the scene more. It was indeed sad, as poachers were attacking the wolves. "I hope they are okay," she commented, while Kay mentioned it was two hours earlier that this happened. Kay also noted that they went the same direction they were heading, therefore we could still have time to rescue them. "We should try to help." Tia stated, getting up from her squatting position. As they walked farther into the snowy glaciers, Tia saw something that startled her. "A fork in the road," she commented, looking toward the two paths. One lead to a straight covered in pure slick ice, while the other lead into a cavern full of glistening crystals and stalactites. "I don't know this place, can you pick?" Tia asked Kay, nervously. She didn't anticipate something like this would happen, and hoped Kay knew exactly what this was.

Kaori looked at the two paths before them and was faced with one hell of a decision. To the right was the path the wolves had gone, and the left was the way to the mammoths. "I better not get eaten for this." Kaori said with an exasperated tone as she turned to the cave and began walking. Kaori stopped and ducked behind a large ice formation, using a hand signal to tell Tia to stop. He pointed to another formation, instructing her to get hidden. "Do you think 'she'll' show up here?" a voice said. "Of course she'll be here. She's practically drawn to lord Saia." another voice replied.

Kaori stood up and walked out from behind the ice, standing in plain sight. If Tia would begin coming out, she'd here in her mind Kaori's voice saying 'Don't move.' and unlike before, it wouldn't be altered by the mask. This was Kaori's telepathy, another psychic ability she was lucky to be born with. "That her?" the first voice asked, looking at Kaori. "Opulet clothes, snow white hair, cat mask... yeah, that's her." the second said just before she began drawing a sword. Kaori held her right hand out, materializing a golden katana with a blue ribbon tied around the base where a hilt should've been. The ribbon trailed off slightly from the bast of the sword and flickered elegantly in the wind. "We saw the wolves run in. It'd be a shame if they died here... the big one was so beautifu-" the woman stopped talking when her head hit the ground, followed by her knees soon after. "What the hell!?" the man exclaimed, looking back where Kaori was originally standing to notice she was gone. He suddenly found it extremely hard to move, and his chest felt like it was burning. He looked down to see gold sticking out like a horn, and Kaori pressing her blade through his back. He didn't even notice her move, didn't hear a thing, and didn't know the rumors of her speed were more than just propaganda. Kaori ripped the sword from his chest and flicked it, sending a splatter of blood on the icy floor while turning to go deeper in the cave. 'Stay there if you have a weak stomach.' Tia would hear in her mind, every bit as loud as if Kaori had been right next to her when she said it instead of walking away.

Kaori had gone three or four hundred feet into the cave when she found a dead end. On the far side were four wolves. Three small ones were standing around a massive one, the latter laying down on the icy floor with blood still coming out of its leg. The small ones were snarling and growling, trying to keep a group of six ninja from getting any closer. One of them had collapsed out of nowhere, his legs suddenly vanishing from under him in an explosion of blood. The wolves had all jumped back, none of them knowing what happened. Kaori appeared momentarily, long enough to slash the stomach of another wide open and vanish. The third ninja was cut from sternum to groin, his blood erupting from his front like a raging volano. The other three tried to run, thinking it wiser to retreat. Three metallic arrows were let loose from Kaori's bow, the first finding its home in the head of one of them. The second slammed into the back of the knee of the second ninja, and the third arrow was deflected by the third ninja. It hit the leg of one of the wolves, cutting it but not impaling it. Kaori fired another arrow, this one seeming to phase through the ninja's sword and getting stuck in his heart. She approached the ninja with an arrow in her knee as she was trying to crawl away. Kaori slammed her foot on the ninja's back. "May we meet again when the sun rises on fields of embers." she said grimly before slamming her sword through the woman's skull, ending her life.

Kaori turned back around and approached the four wolves, stopping when she saw the three guardians begin snarling at her. She held out her bow and gently set it down and began moving very slowly. The one with the cut leg that was hit by her deflected arrow had charged in and Kaori quickly ducked while spinning, grabbing the back of its neck and slamming the wolf on the ground. The wolf let out a yelp as Kaori slammed her knee on its back, and the other wolves began going in for the attack. Both had been frozen mid air as Kaori used her telekinesis on them to keep them in place. She hovered her hand over the wolf under her knee and a white magic circle formed over the wound. The wolf at first was squirming quite a bit, but as it felt Kaori's heart through her spell, it slowly relaxed and let itself be healed. The other two guardians stopped fidgiting and Kaori gently set them down, letting them watch her heal their comrade. When she was done, she slowly got off the wolf and let it get up. There was a moment of tension as the three wolves decided what to do, but then all three moved aside and looked to the large one.

Kaori walked over to it, making sure to pass within its line of sight so it didn't think she were sneaking up on it. Kaori kneeled down near it and began rubbing the side of its cheek, which was larger than Kaori's hand. The large wolf let out a short whimper as it had begun coming to terms with death. "Have no fear. Your time in this land is yet to conclude." she said softly, closing her eyes behind her mask and focusing on healing the large creature's wound. The wolf adjusted its head to rest on Kaori's knees while closing its eyes. Kaori continued rubbing its fur while doing her work. The mana crystals in her toolbelt were quickly being used up, but Kaori continued healing it. Soon, the blood on the floor had begun vanishing as it returned to the wolf's body and the large wound in its leg was beginning to close.

If Tia had followed Kaori, and witnessed her brutality; she would also see her heal the wolf. If she had stayed put, after thirty or so minutes, she'd hear the sounds of massive footprints being formed as something came from the direction Kaori went. She'd see the large wolf walking behind Kaori, completely uninjured. If she wanted to, the wolf would allow Tia to come near it and even feel its fur regardless of if she came with Kaori or stayed put.

As the two woman walked into the cave, Tia could feel small ice fragments slightly crackle under her feet. These fragments were a beautiful blue color, that radiated due to the cave's glowing mushrooms and stalactites. As they were ducking under various large shards of ice, Tia was ordered to remain calm and stop. "Um... Okay..." she responded, peeking her head through a small crack in the ice. This is so she could see very well of what she was doing, and why she was doing what she did. Tia reached into her messenger bag and grabbed her red glasses, which could magically function as a zooming tool. She began to zoom into Kaori's sights, grasping the left side of the glasses and twisting counter-clockwise. This caused the lenses to fog for one second, and then twist until the setting she wanted them to be. "Now, that is better." she said, looking around the cave to see beautiful ice crystals covering the walls.

As she was peering forward, she slipped on the ice under her, causing her to land on her rump. "Don't move." she heard in her mind, which startled her. The voice was that of Kay's but she didn't understand how she was capable of this feat. She gripped onto a dry piece of ice and pulled herself back up, looking back at Kaori as she walked farther into the cave. She seemed to make a golden katana appear in her hands out of nowhere, as Tia soon realized that there were people in here. "Oh goodness..." she said softly, concealing herself behind ice even more. hoping they would not lay their eyes on the hidden girl in purple. "That's right, the poachers! The wolves must be in here too..." she thought to herself, sliding her hands together to produce heat due to friction. As she was trying to peer in closer to Kaori killing the poachers, she could feel her iLac slightly vibrating in her pocket. "Oh dear..." she thought, pulling it out. Luckily, she put it on the lowest vibration setting, therefore it would not cause any interruptions. The screen read, "Chai... Incoming Call." How she got service out there was out of the question, but she quietly answered the call.

"Wherefore art thou?! I am twid'ling mine thumbs hither at the guild hall! I've readeth twenty-seven books already!" Chai yelled through the phone, as Tia pressed it onto her face so the noise would not distract Kay, or make the poachers notice she was there. "Chai, it is not the time to call right now... I am hiding from a group of poachers in an ice cavern, as my ally is taking care of them. If they know I'm here, then I'm roadkill!" Tia said softly, as she could hear Chai gasp through the phone. "If 't be true those gents cometh near thee, thee better useth void! Cometh home soon, as my heart cannot beat without thee." Chai commented, ending the call. "She's a wild one, that kitty." she thought to herself, as she began to peer into the crack of ice again. She noticed there lay lifeless bodies on the floor now, along with some blood that had spattered onto the icy crystals. As she watched Kay impale a man through the stomach, she heard the voice again, telling her to stay if she has a week stomach. She took a gulp of spit into her throat, and continued to watch the fight occur.

Finally, all the enemies were defeated by Kaori. "She is powerful.." Tia said under her breath, adjusting herself so she could see through a larger hole in the ice. She noticed Kay was knelt down at the large wolf, healing its wounds. "And she can heal?!" Tia remarked in her head, amazed. Kay seemed to have a spell for anything imaginable, which made Tia feel rather happy that she was her ally. She figured that she would not be in danger to get up to approach Kay, so she did just that. As she approached Kay, she ducked through several large chunks of ice that were hanging from the roof of the cavern. "You did amazing out there, Kay." Tia remarked, reaching to feel the largest wolf's fur. It felt as soft as the clouds, and Tia stuffed her face into the side. "Ahhh~" she exclaimed, being at peace. She had always adored animals, especially ones that were rescued by others. "I am glad we got to save you, or more so Kay." she remarked to the wolves, rubbing the largest wolf's head.

Kaori looked to Tia and said "Incorrect. Had you not expressed a desire to aid her, I would've continued the mission and come back at a later time; she would have been dead by then. You have some credit for her life being saved." While Kaori was being modest, she didn't feel like taking full credit for the save was a good thing. Tia was her partner for this mission, so she deserved half the credit even if the workload wasn't split so evenly. "We should get going. The mission is still incomplete, and I don't want the others to arrive first." Kaori mentioned and gave the wolf a final rub on the nose. The wolf extended its tongue that was as big as Kaori, and licked her, causing her to be knocked over. Kaori held her hand up and said "I'm okay, a bit wet, but I'm just fine." before vanishing and reappearing standing up once more.

Upon arriving at the mammoth herd, approximately half a mile from them that is, Kaori began looking over the groups. She was able to spot the leader, the largest of them all with a massive set of horns on it. "They're too close to him..." Kaori said in a thought consumed tone while examining everything. Not too long after, the others had arrived and gathered around Kaori and Tia. "What's your plan my lady?" Ikuchi asked, expecting her to have already come up with a plan and ten contingencies for it. "I don't like it, but the best plan is to get it alone and setup a runway trap. I accounted on the herd being nearby, but I didn't foresee there being thirty of them."

Kaori materialized a cutlass in her right hand and drew four lines to form a square in the snow. "First, you'll all line up and form a box. This will leave two people without anything to do, don't worry; you'll be put to use too. Those of you making the square, I want you to drive your spikes straight below you and then, top unit, switch places with the person directly across from you and drive your last spike there. Those on the bottom of the box will switch with the left side. Left side switches with the right side, and the right side will take the place of those who were up top." Kaori drew lines in the box to show how the trap will look from above. The patter was a cross hatching with a second, diagonal cross hatching above it; a perfect net. "The remaining two from earlier, I want you to make two lines below our trap. This'll trip the mammoth up, making it roll into the net rather than trip on the net and potentially break a tusk. It'll get tangled up safely and we can move it off."

Kaori looked at Tia. "I'll be trusting you to coordinate them with Iku. I'll handle getting the alpha's attention." Kaori said calmly with a confident tone. Kaori then vanished and reappeared much closer to the mammoth herd. After a few minutes, Kaori would begin. She had projected a vision from her dreams onto the world, one where a volcano was eruption. The herd was cut off from their leader, and forced to run in the opposite direction as the ground below them spewed forth lava. The leader began running towards the net, looking back to see if the lava was following him. If Tia was ready with the rest of the group, the plan should go off well enough to not cause any permanent damage to the massive beast.

As the pack of allies approached the mammoth herd, Tia made sure to take her iLac out and snap a picture before they disturbed them. "This is my first time I have ever seen a mammoth before, they are so beautiful." she commented, zooming into the group of mammoths. They were very large, but one of them stood out in particular. He was brown with a blue undertone and red striped, and seemed to have the biggest tusks out of the group of them. The rest of the mammoths had a beautiful shade of brown for its fur color, as well as having pure ivory tusks. Around them was a beautiful area of cliffs and icy summits, as well as beautiful spruce trees that stretched all around the area. These trees shone a gorgeous dark green color, and had white-blue snow covering the tops of the trees and the thin branches. Mammoths were everywhere, grazing upon the beautiful snowy plain. "The Great Wolly Mammoth..." she said under her breath, taking another picture of the mammoths. She normally didn't take pictures of much on her iLac, but she had decided to take a picture of this since it was not an everyday sight to see a mammoth this big. She was thankful the iLacs could function out here, as it seemed that the manufacturers designed it to get service almost everywhere. As she was taking another picture, a new notification popped up. "New message, from Chai." it read, as she clicked to open it. It was a picture of Chai reading with a few of her other guild-mates, as well as a very long caption. "Tia, thee better receiveth back hither as soon as possible. Despite how joyous I behold in this picture, I am very much dying inside. All of these people art so overwhelming to deal with! I wast just sitting hither, drinking mine morning tea, and bam, fifty people showeth up in the guild hall, distracting me from mine reading! Who doest that? I wast trying to casually readeth poetry, and these people hath decided to cometh and rid mine moment. Those gents eke drank the rest of the herbal tea! Those gents knoweth that I am such a fan of that type of tea, but those gents hadst to sitteth thither and drinketh the entire kettle of t! Those gents coequal tooketh mine cuppeth of the tea! I can not believeth those folk for doing that! Thee needeth to cometh home as soon as possible, as I cannot standeth t anymore!" Chai exclaimed as she texted, causing Tia to blush. "I miss you, Chai! Bear through it! I will be home soon!" she sent, slipping it back into her pocket.

After she slipped the iLac into her pocket, she began to listen to what Kaori had to say. Now that she looked at the mammoths as she talked, she remembered that they were to capture the leader of the mammoths without causing harm to him. As Kaori began explaining the orders to all the ranks, Tia took note of everything she said in great detail. She did not want to upset the ninja, as she knew that she showed no mercy when it came to faults. As she finished, she expressed that Tia would be coordinating the men alongside the man that she was introduced to earlier, which was named Iku. "Oh... yes ma'am!" she expressed, getting a shiver of nervousness. She was not sure how she would act as she would be commanding the men, as she typically preferred following orders rather than dishing them out. After they spoke, she seemed to disappear from in front of Tia and reappear in front of the herd of mammoths.

"Everyone, listen to me! If you don't want to feel Kaori's wrath, then you better follow her orders!" Tia exclaimed, as she watched Kay display a vision of a giant volcano nearby. This volcano looked surprisingly realistic, as it was a beautiful orange-red with small craters reaching into the areas of this fake mountain region of lava. This caused all of the brown, hairy mammoths except the leader to run in one direction, as the wolly mammoth was separated by the illusion of lava. It started to run toward the net, slowly but with brute force. "Everyone, follow her orders! I'm talking to you, box people! Run, run run!" she exclaimed, picking up the spikes and ramming them into the ground. They did so, as the mammoth was approaching the net. "Now, the two men that aren't doing anything, run under him to prevent him from tripping!" she exclaimed, running toward the end of the net in case they failed. The two men began to sprint under the area in which they would not get crushed, and stuck their arms up so it could slow him down. As he approached, one of his feet his the arm of the man, causing it to flop onto its back. This caused the ground to shake due to the immense weight from the mammoth, which surprised Tia as to how it did not crack or cause an avalanche under the pressure of the weight. The mammoth rolled into the area of the net, all safe and sound. However, the net began to slide on the slick ice, approaching a cliff nearby. "Oh goodness!" Tia yelled, running toward the net in a very quick manor. Her determination caused her to not slip on the ice and snow under her, as she left a trail of boot-shaped footprints into the snow.

"ReQuip: Herbalist Volume I!" she yelled, as a green book with golden carvings of flowers that were etched into it plopped into her hands. She noticed there was a large tree on the side across the area of Tia, which she would use to her advantage. This tree looked thicker than the rest, as it was very thick instead of thin like the others. "I need to launch the vine now!" she exclaimed, revealing the sparkly purple nails from her gloves into the snowy environment. She slid her acrylic nails on the cover, which formed a flower-filled vine to shoot out away from her. This wrapped around the tree on the other side, which had a strong grip. "AGGGH!!" she yelled, as the mammoth pushed against the vine. As the mammoth began to slow down, it still was approaching the edge of the cliff. "No... you... will... not... fall..." she said, pulling it with all of her might. It approached the edge of the cliff even closer, as one of the hooves of its foot was reaching off the cliff. "AHHHH!" she screamed, as she pulled it with all her energy. As her strength prevailed, she pulled the netted-mammoth to a halt. He was unharmed, and seemed to be at ease. "Wow, that was very difficult." she said under her breath, as her muscles in her arms began to ache. She knelt on the floor, and felt the cold of the ice on her body through her coat, as she felt truly amazing on the ice. The ice seemed to numb her soreness, as if she was in an ice-bath. The mammoth was captured, which made Tia feel truly happy. She finally finished this quest, and would be able to go home to return to Chai and her other guild-mates very soon. But for now, she needed to speak with Kaori to thank her for everything she had done to help on this job, considering that she would not have came on this job without her.

Kaori appeared next to Tia, looking down on her as she stood overhead. She kneeled down next to her torso and poked the woman's side to confirm she wasn't dead. As soon as Tia would provide any form of a reaction, Kaori would say "Nice save." with a friendly enough tone. She'd then stand up and materialize the same cutlass from before in her right hand, this time, in its active state. "Set sail, White Mermaid!" Kaori announced, causing a large, white magic circle to appear not far from them. As the circle rose in the air, the bottom revealed something to be forming. The bottom half of a ship was coming from under the circle, and it was nearing completion the higher the circle came. Once it finished, a decently sizes ship was in front Kaori and the rest of the group. Afterwards, the cutlass Kaori used to summon the ship had vanished.

A rather old man in a white sailor's suit had walked out as the cargo bay door opened from below, and he stopped at the end since his cane wasn't snow approved. "My, my Miss Lareci... that there really is a whopper!" he said in surprise, his voice sounding as old as he was. "Good thing I cleared space. Do your friends over there need a ride?" Kaori looked to the tribals, who all turned the ride down on account of being capable of walking back. Ikuchi walked to the mammoth and grabbed the rope ends, the rest of the natives helping him to pull the large beast inside. It was a tight fit, but the mammoth was too tired from the adrenaline rush it just had to move. "Excuse me Salty, but my ally will be needing to make use of your facilities. Would you happen to have a room available?" Kaori asked politely. The old man looked at Tia for a moment. "Looks like a land lovin' whipper-snapper, she does. A few trips with you and she'll be questionin' her sanity." the old man joked. He turned and began heading in the ship. While moving up the ramp Salty said "Come on Miss Tia, ol' Salty'll show ya to your room. Gonna be a long trip so ya got plenty-a time to rest."

If she would follow, Salty would show Tia to a somewhat small, but comfy room. It would have a twin sized bed in the corner, a nightstand with a drawer next to it, and a desk sitting at the foot of the bed against the wall. The sheets would smell of lavender, and were soft as cotton. Salty would point her to a door on the wall, stating that it was her bathroom. Inside, she'd find a series of expensive, high quality body washes and a full-on bath tub. The body washes, shampoos, and conditioners were all held within a container so they wouldn't fall during travel; but it was obvious that the ship she was on wasn't meant for fighting, only for getting around. During their interaction, Salty would be polite to her and even try throwing a few old-person styled jokes out there.

If at any point Tia would fall asleep, she would wake up to find Kaori in bed with her. Once of her hands would be on the middle of her stomach, holding her garment and the other would be on the other side of her. Kaori would be fast asleep, cuddling up to the fancy woman and losing all aspects of being a vicious assassin. She'd used a lot of energy recently, her inability to use magic as well as others was taxing. If Tia would wake her up, Kaori would explain that she was really tired but couldn't sleep alone. Tia looked so warm and soft that she couldn't help but use her as a teddy bear. If she left Kaori alone, the ninja would explain it in the morning. However, if Tia had opted to walk back home in the cold instead of take Kaori's offer for a gentle ride back to Hargeon, she wouldn't be forced to come along and Kaori would bid her farewell respectfully.

    change of clothes to sleep~

As Tia got up to join Kaori as she thought they would walk back to the village to head home, Kay seemed to have summoned a magical ship to transport the mammoth as well as them home. "What a beautiful ship!" Tia exclaimed, rubbing her hands together to create warmth between them. The ship looked like it came directly out of a sci-fi book, as it appeared very futuristic from the exterior. As they began to load the mammoth into a separate portion of the ship, Tia bowed to the captain. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Salty. I am Tia Haiku of the Golden Phoenix Guild, and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. This is a truly remarkable ship." she told him, in a pleased and warm manor.

As they began to board the ship, Tia was hit with a very warm gust of air coming from the ship. "Ahh, this feels a lot better than the frigid cold." she commented, sliding her ear-muffs down from her head to around her neck. When Kay and Tia reached her designated room, she was hit by the scent of fresh lavender. "Eeee~" she moaned in relaxation, letting out a deep yawn. She had always been a fan of the scent of lavender, as she used it in one of her diffusers at home when she would sleep. She was also shown the bathroom, which seemed to have luxury soaps and shampoos that could fit any body and hair type. "I think I am going to take a warm bath, if that is alright." Tia stated, as she walked into the bathroom. Luckily she had packed a change of clothes she could sleep in, as she would not have looked forward sleeping in snow-covered winter clothing. She began to strip, as she filled the bathtub with warm water. She added a lavender scented bubble-soap into the running water, which resulted in the water turning a beautiful lavender color and having the perfect amount of bubbles, not too many and not too little. She slipped into the bathtub, and her body began to feel as if it were floating in maple syrup. "This feels so nice.." she commented, lathering in her hair a purple shampoo. She then added conditioner after rinsing, waiting for it to set as she applied soap. This soap smelled like pure luxury, and wondered how much it costed. After about thirty minutes, she finally decided to get out of the warm bath that relaxed her from such an exciting adventure. She made sure to take a picture of herself in the bubbles and sent it to Chai, which had no response. "She must be asleep in the guild hall..." she sighed, yawning as she began blow-drying and straightening her hair.

After her hair was entirely straightened and brushed, she slipped on her change of clothes she had brought. This was a black and purple silk dress, which could be used to sleep in or do other activities in. She also put black stockings with lace on, since it would complete the outfit while she slept. She crawled into bed, as the lighting in the room switched from bright to dull and purple at her command. She lay on her back during this time, falling asleep as the sheets did not cover most of her body, leaving most of her body exposed. About an hour after she had fallen asleep, she had felt a hand cupping her stomach, as if someone had joined her in the bed. She looked over, and her eyes widened as she saw Kay sleeping soundly next to her. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, what do I do? A girl.. a girl.. oh my god..." she had screamed in her head, experiencing a range of emotions. She had always been a real sucker for girls, as she found them to be the most attractive in her spectrum of attraction. "Oh shit, I look like a bimbo. I'm so dumb, why did I choose this?" she realized, looking down at her outfit as she noted that it was not the most appropriate outfit for the occasion. "I guess I will just fall back asleep." she thought to herself, closing her eyes as she slipped back into the realm of dreams. As she was asleep, she seemed to have pushed herself closer to Kay, as they were in an embrace. After all, they were both experiencing the land of dreams, which was pure figments of their imagination.
