    NIRVANA

    The Unforgiven
Of all the requests she could have taken, Vana chose to accept one that was not only from a faraway land known as Pergrande Kingdom, but also sent by a small neighborhood to solve a mystery. Now, she was not a huge fan of solving other people’s problems, but if she was going to be paid for it, that was a whole different story, of course. Given how she was a lone wanderer, she needed to earn money regularly to be able to feed herself and have a place to live. After almost ages of hiding in the shadows, she was back at it with that heavenly body of hers. Speaking of her body, she had changed significantly. She no longer appeared as a rebellious teenager who glared at everyone. She was curvier, had longer hair and dressed sophisticatedly. Not many people who knew her would recognize her, because even her voice had changed slightly into a more melodic tone. In the time that she was missing, she had only been practising her magic in undiscovered areas of Fiore where she found peace of mind. That only lasted a while as she was back to looking for trouble now, ready to represent her guild - which she had been actually failing to do properly. One of the main reasons she decided to go to Pergrande for this specific request was because of how they had described the job location - an old mansion at the end of the street, like one of those mansions in the movies. She wanted to test how ‘scary’ it was and if it did anything to her.

Basically she was just being the daredevil she was. It was fun sometimes, but you could never predict the future, so anything could happen. Vana believed that if something bad happened like that, then she would not mind at all and in fact, accept the consequences. It was fate and she could not change it, because nobody had the power to change fate. The downside of this job was that she had never been to Pergrande, which meant that she did not have a waypoint there. How annoying. Making a mental note to remind herself to leave a waypoint somewhere in the Kingdom, Vana arrived at the checkpoint where she would have to travel to the Kingdom in a coach that she rented all to herself. No disturbances, all the privacy she needed - to nap. It was going to be a long ride, as Pergrande Kingdom was quite a distance from Fiore. At least the weather was decent. It was slightly cloudy, blocking out the merciless rays of the sun that occasionally peeked out from behind, as if to tease the civilians underneath. Nobody wanted the heat, not even Vana, at least not today. The ride would take approximately ten to twelve hours, so she spread her shawl over her chest and started to doze off. She wanted to have as much rest as she could get on the carriage.

About ten hours later, the carriage came to a stop. Waking up from her giant powernap, Vana folded her shawl and left it on the seat. She would not be needing it again, and even if she did she could get a new one. The carriage driver accepted her jewels and thanked her, then went off somewhere. Vana studied the area. It looked very much different from what she had been seeing usually in Fiore. After all, she was in a whole new country. A whole new nation with an entirely different culture, she assumed. Immediately, before she forgot, Vana created a waypoint at the spot where the carriage dropped her off. She did not bring anything much with her and pretty much looked like a tourist at the moment with the way she was dressed. With her eyes never leaving all the cool, different things that Pergrande had to show, Vana took a stroll deeper into whatever town or city she was in. Soon, she would have to start looking for the neighborhood where the mansion could be found.

    "Hm... Pergrande, but now what?"

Hm, another new "scary" mansion. Elyx was just on his bed with a pair of long acid-blue skinny jeans, some black socks, but nothing else. Absolute boredom, his days of doing nothing was just painful for him to deal with. The job identified as an "S" rank job, so it was nothing too special. The goal was to find a way to eliminate the mansion, that was not hard. As for the job being in Pergrande, the knights knew way better than to lay a finger on him, not if they wanted to keep their necks intact.

Shima look over his shoulder with a coy smile on her lips. "Ooooo~ scary stuff." She commented as she floated by his side. Antihero Shima, at least she was not rebelling anymore. Ignite these days preferred to be out in the guild, seeing what kind of snacks and bullets she could raid without getting caught. She most likely was not going to be assisting him with this job. Yeah, but look at the information about the queen. She'll be kneeling in ten seconds with such weak statistics. I'm surprised they never had this handled with the Rune Knights." Elyx explain, turning over to the side to roll out of bed. His palms were flat against the floor, pushing himself up onto his feet before getting dressed.

Considering this job was nothing too difficult in his opinion, he kept the jeans he had and added a small V-neck white shirt. Just for fun, he added a golden necklace around his neck as well with a music note at the end of. His hair was as spiky as ever, very rarely did he even have to brush it. As for Shima, she was just a spirit. Her looks didn't even need to be handled, though just for the sake of decency, she put on clothing as well. They both finished, and now they were prepared to go over to Pergrande.

Shima placed out a portal in front of Elyx, a physical plane he could use to travel through time, bringing his body back to an area he had been in before. In this case, it lead him to Pergrande, though the location of the mansion was a bit different. Still however, he would take a small leap inside of the portal, resulting in him appearing in town at the blink of an eye. When the brunette looked back behind him, it was as if there was no portal in the first place. How convenient for him.

"Well, we're here Shima. Any idea on how to start our search?" He asked the spirit beside him. She just flipped her hair with the back of her right hand before shaking her head. Of course not. So he would just proceed to walk through the streets of the kingdom until he could obtain some sort of hint.

    NIRVANA

    The Unforgiven
Pergrande Kingdom was an anti-magic place. Vana discovered that bit after realising she could not sense a single source of magic here, not even from lacrimas or things like that. Walking through the streets of such a dull place made her feel like leaving already. To her right was a strip of small shops and to her left was some kind of path that led to a huge temple that was visible to her as it was perched on the edge of a cliff in the distance. She was nowhere near the castle, so she could not see it at the moment. While she felt like returning to Fiore, which she could do in the blink of an eye, a voice in the back of her reminded her of why she was here, and not just for money or recognition. In fact, fuck recognition. She did not need anything like that in this boring hellhole. Although it looked welcoming and fun, without the thrilling sense of magic, Nirvana could not help but feel uninvited. Her mission now, however, was to look for the neighborhood and most importantly - the mansion.

Asking around was not an option. She would only be questioned of her business there, what was her purpose of entering that mansion, out of everywhere in Pergrande? “Should have added a freaking address there,” she mumbled, mostly to herself, with a frustrated sigh, and stopped walking in the middle of the sidewalk. Not too many people were outside at this time today, probably because they were all busy with their own little lives. She wondered what they did, in a nation free of magic? Of course there were ordinary humans living among wizards in Fiore as well, but at least they could enjoy magic as a third party, something that people of Pergrande Kingdom had probably never experienced in their lives before. She felt like changing this, but not yet. Not now.

After a while of just loitering about in Pergrande, she decided she was not going to get anywhere with just standing around and trying to read people’s minds. Heaving a sigh, the sorceress looked through the large window pane of a shop along the strip, trying to see if there was anyone inside. Imagining that asking people on the street who were walking by would make her appear as a creep, she decided to take her inquiry to a shopkeeper. Speak of miracles? At the moment she was peering through the transparent glass, she could feel the opening of a portal like her chest was being opened up. That much power? But from where? Whirling her head around in the direction from which she felt the surge of mana, Vana narrowed her eyes, a bit skeptical of course. In a world with zero magic, what was this? A joke? Through the portal emerged two beings, or one? She could not tell if her eyes were working properly. She could see the brunette male clear as day, but the...apparition beside him made her question the strength of her eyes. It was a ghost, it had to be. But what were they doing here? A man and a ghost? With so much power? It could have been because of the lack of magic in the atmosphere, that she felt the portal like her body was being ripped apart, but it was thrilling sensation, something that she enjoyed and had goosebumps from. It was almost similar to the feeling you get on a rollercoaster ride, but much more intense.

Vana fully turned so that she was facing towards the two newcomers, curious of their business here. She was tempted to approach them, and ask them directly, but she could not be sure if that was the safest thing to do, so with so much curiosity, Vana began to stalk them, knowing that if they truly possessed such power, they would notice her just by the magical aura that enveloped her.

    "Follow the Leader? All right."

There was a massive lack of magic flow around there area. Shima would cross her arms over her chest, looking down while contemplating an idea. "This place lacks magic. The mansion is probably filled with it. So whenever we find a magic presence, we should follow it." The spirit explained to the brunette. Interesting proposal. That however did not leave many doors open for them, considering they were still in need of a lead. It was just an idea, but they lacked a location they needed to search up. Unless they planned to teleport all over the place, it was best to ask the townfolk about the mansion.

"We are lacking a lead, Shima." Elyx explained, hands in his pockets as he proceeded to walk forward. The crisp air around him was relaxing to him, until disturbed by a sudden chilling magic presence around him. Huh? He thought to himself. Another mage with business here, that was the only explanation. The mansion surely was not as close as he sensed it to be. There was someone around... Maybe if he could pinpoint their location, he would be able to gather some data. Location spoke a language of it's own when you apply common sense to it.

So his light golden eyes would close, allowing him to enhance all his other five senses. The one he cared most about was magic sensory. As he scanned the radius around him, he would pick up on an aura that was rather close for comfort. No assumptions yet, but he had a theory. His eyes opened up once again before he then shifted them to the side to look over his shoulder. No one was in sight...

"Would you like to introduce yourself?" Elyx concluded without even turning his head. Shima did however, as she did not connect the puzzle pieces as quickly as the brunette did. They were not in sight despite him looking in the direction he felt the magic sensory. If they were going to spy on him, they better have not malicious intent. Hiding from him with a magic presence located in the direction he looked towards, they wanted to be out of his sight. Malicious intents or not, there was no way in hell was he going to be taking chances with anyone. "I do know you are there, there's no use continuing.

With that, he finally turned around, crossing his arms as his magic would surge through his body faster, preparing for an attack could be attempted. "Don't assume the worst, E-Boi. Save your magic for the mansion." Shima warned, blocking some of the violent magic flow in him. It shouldn't come off too strongly thanks to her. "Besides, they are a mage. They might know something about the mansion we don't. Hear them out." And so her words lowered his guard, so it didn't come off so threatening. More cautious if anything. Taking her words to heart, his magic flow that he had control of would also begin to calm down.

    NIRVANA

    The Unforgiven
Nirvana watched from the same spot in front of the shop, only walking back and forth along the sidewalk. Her outfit was of course sort of standing out, so she received some stares from those passing by her. She paid no attention to them and instead only watched the two. She could barely take her eyes off of them, especially because she was still trying to figure out what that translucent being beside the male was. She was pretty confident in her assumption that it was a ghost, though. The two had not moved from their spot after their arrival through the portal. There were of course people watching them in fascination, but some of them showed signs of fear, as if the two new guests were a threat. Vana was prepared to hide in case they turned in her direction, as she did not feel much like being noticed yet. After a while of observing from a distance, she realised that they did not seem to have a clue of what to do. She frowned slightly.

Having her eyes and full attention on the two, the moment that the male turned in her direction, Vana transformed into light particles on instinct. It was what she thought was the best thing to do at that moment. The male looked directly at her, but he would not see her, though, unless he had some tricks that allowed her to see invisible beings or something like that. And when she noticed that he actually did not see her, she sighed inwardly. But he did not give up. He then asked if she wanted to introduce herself, which was a bit funny and almost made her laugh. She sort of thought he was cute. He did not even avert his gaze, though. He was very sure that the magical entity was in that exact spot he was looking at, which was correct. Vana wanted to show herself already, wanting to get to know this person, but she controlled herself. However, she could no longer control herself after hearing the mention of the ‘mansion’, spoken by the apparition beside the male. She was either his guardian or personal advisor. Vana wondered if the ghost had said what she had said as bait, knowing that Vana was interested in what she was talking about, or if she was being real. Whatever the reason, Vana returned to her human form, revealing her curvaceous figure, dressed in a sophisticated outfit that was rather exposing and the huge horns that she donned upon her head.

“We’re apparently looking for the same thing,” she said after seemingly materializing out of thin air. “My name is Nirvana. What are yours?” she continued to ask politely. Vana approached the two slowly and calmly to show that she was not an enemy. “It’s a very dull place, by the way. Don’t you agree?” she said in a hushed tone so that only the two of them could hear, with a slight grimace.

    "Hm, interesting weirdo."

The lady revealed her appearance to him, a provocative mage considering her clothing. Nothing unusual these days. Hm, is that so? Elyx asked, tilting his head and crossing his arms as the lady told him they were after the same thing. Still not so trusting of the being, but she made the right choice to not declare an attack on the both of them. "Yeah, I guess you can say that." He further commented as he looked around. There was such a lack of danger, it was not peaceful either. Control, too strong for the people to resist. It was disturbing, worse than chaos. It would be what the world would look like if evil were to prevail above good. That's why his existence was vital for now. Their names however shouldn't be too big of an issue though. "The name is Elyx. The spirit here is Shima. I'm a mage, and if we are truly looking for the same place, I assume you might know something more about it that we might not know about." His hands lowered by his sides into his pockets, lips frowning now. "Whether or not that is true, well... Coin toss odds.

"Want to change that with us?" Shima asked, flicking her white hair to the side. The equally revealing spirit taking a liking to this one being already. A thirst for chaos lusted within the gemstoned eyes of the spirit, and this magic aura that she tasted was one that fueled that lust. Elyx crossed his arms, looking to Shima as he stayed silent. There was no doubt that she had something on her mind, but there was no way she could screw things up. The spirit would proceed to try to lap around the newer mage slowly, analyzing her figure from top to bottom. "Oh hell yeah, you are a killing machine! I bet you just love jewels, aye? Perhaps even so much that you would kill a man for it?" She asked the newcomer, smiling. Her eyes were half-closed. Should she be given the chance, she would lower her body down to the ground so that her toes connected to the ground right next to the mage. "I'm sure you've heard of a mansion, right? If what you say is true?"

Oh, so that was what she was doing. Elyx was relieved, it seems like they were going to be working with this mage. Shima usually had a good hunch for being able to tell who was going to help them, and who was just straight up chaotic. This was both according to her. "Whatever she's talking about, I'll go along with. Do you know anything about it's location? The brunette asked her.

OOC: You asked for it! :T

    NIRVANA

    The Unforgiven
Elyx. Shima. Vana repeated the names until they were engraved in her memory. So it was a spirit after all. Elyx then said that he thought Vana might know a thing or two about the place, and then tossed a coin. The demon frowned, watching which side of the coin showed in his hand, and then looked back up at the male’s face. Shima the spirit then asked if she wanted to change that with them. Not really understanding what she asked, Vana just said, “I’ll share what I know. The clients are a small community on a desolate street. So we could ask around, though if we have to, I suggest you do it.” She did not like to talk to strangers much, so hopefully either Elyx or Shima volunteered to do that, if they were even going to ask around in the first place. She wondered if people would freak out when they saw Shima. She was also wondering if she was the only one who could see the spirit in the first place because she was a sorceress.

Shima’s behavior afterwards made Vana feel a bit strange but alert. She was being studied, obviously, but what kind of detection abilities did the spirit have? Could she tell that she was part of an illegal organization? Could she bring out her secrets? She was a spirit, and accompanying another mage, so she probably had some powers. Vana had no fears, however. She waited for the spirit to finish whatever it was that she was doing while eyeing Elyx. The excitement that Shima showed confused her a bit, but what she said was true. She was indeed a killing machine, and she did like money. So Shima was right and this impressed Vana, to be honest. She stayed silent, which could be counted as a yes for both questions.

“Yes. The mansion is at the end of the street I was talking about,” she responded. Elyx seemed relieved for some reason, and that made Vana turn to Shima to see what she was up to. “That’s all I know about it, actually. Do you know anything about it?” she asked.

    "Hm, interesting weirdo."

Her information was more or less common sense, it was the wrong end of the coin toss. Tails. How unfortunate, maybe better luck next time. Still however, she seemed willing to provide her power. And they both had dark magic within their bodies anyways, so it was not like he had any room to talk. Plus, a clear effort to give information was evident, there was no need to belittle her for ignorance that both of them shared. "Yeah, I see why you say that. Well, you can ask the men. I doubt they'll mind." He explained, crossing his arms in silence for a few seconds before sighing. It was depressing how much impact that statement made, as that was literally half of the population.

While Shima was able to sense the auras that mages brought out of their bodies, she was not able to get any knowledge on someone based on just that alone. Magic flows told more about the personality of a being and the type of person they were, she was without a doubt able to tell that this demon lady had the intentions equivalent to that of a murderer, an adultress, a thief. To the spirit, that was just so beautiful in her eyes. When the silence gave her the answers she wanted to hear, Shima clapped her hands together with a giddy facial expression, tilting her head to the side. "Oooooo, I like you already Nirvana. I have a feeling we'll have much fun creating all sorts of chaos." She commented before floating back toward Elyx by his side. Someone clearly was having some fun.

"The end of the street? Hm... Easy then, that was just the information that I was looking for." The brunette explained, flicking a small tuft of his spiky brown hair to the side out of his line of sight. The demon lady then asked him if there was anything that they knew. Well, it was fair, considering how much they pressed on her. And despite her personality being chaotic and potentially evil, she acted polite and just went along with whatever was going on. The least she deserved was for her question to be answered. As far as I know, Shima won't be the only spirit we will be doing it. When we answered, we will end up having tricks played on us. I don't know what specifically, but we must be VERY careful."
