Private She Belonged To Me [Marceline & Kite]

Post by Guest 11th August 2016, 9:56 am

Sweet is the hour and sweeter still
    The time we spend together
    Celebrate the noble will
    The crowning of the king

Slowly, a cloud of ash rolled along the stone streets of Ace of Spades, creeping along like a fog rising during the night. It billowed upward, sections of it reaching outward like legs as they walked along the center of the street, searching for their destination. The ashes, as they crawled along the ground, bounced upward quickly, then let themselves fall gracefully back to the stone. As they fluttered and danced around, the cloud created what appeared to be a dress cloaking a slender and very small body. They compacted together, building a tightly knit cloth and shifting colors as the form moved through the streets, spreading crowds. White was now in place of the ashes' black, flowing around fairly tanned feet that lacked any sort of shoe. Golden hair flowed out from the ashes next, reaching down to the female's heels, but never touching the ground.

A brilliant smile was upon wheat-colored features, green eyes lit up by the sunlight that bathed down upon the small woman. It was as if the sun had known an angel descended upon them, lighting her way even though she was far from holy. She skipped along the streets and looked around at the massive buildings that had formerly been destroyed by a dragon. Streets were decorated in lights, tall lampposts that were gothic and intimidating, but also magnificently beautiful in her eyes. Having never been here before, Marceline Anicetus was awestruck by the buildings and what the city had in store for tourists. Hidden beneath a disguise that Eris had given her after her exam, she had no fear of being found out and captured. However, she was not here for sightseeing; no, she had come to Ace of Spades for another reason unbeknownst to passersby.

She snaked her way through the crowds of civilians, but unfortunately, even in this form, her magic could not be stopped. In her wake, the citizens of Ace of Spades would fall victim to the soul-stealing essence that surrounded the young maiden. Invisible claws gripped at the bodies of the unsuspecting prey, leaving them gasping for air and writhing in pain wherever she walked. Their hands reached out to the child-like figure as if they were calling out to a master to release them from the torment. Never once did she look in the eyes of those that had quickly succumb to the magic that surrounded her very being. No, she continued on down the street until the very floating landscape of Sabertooth's guild hall was visible to her eye. Casting her gaze away, she would spot the Tailspin resting on the ground, bits and pieces of it surrounding its structure.

Giving another glance toward Sabertooth's guild hall, Marceline turned away and headed straight for the open entrance of the ship. Ash trailed behind her as she walked and abrasively, as she approached the opening, she walked up the ramp with a purpose. Her feet never made a sound as she strutted up the metallic creation, eyes staring straight forward as she passed workers. Repairmen who gave her but a glance and ogled her as her form shifted from a child-like figure to a fully grown woman. The white dress she had worn wove tighter against her bodice and the color fell back down into a dark shade of black. One side rose up high on her thigh, where it was possible to see the bikini-like underwear that hid content behind it. Visibly apparent, the dress was torn on the hip of its other side, a cross-stitching the only thing holding it, as well as torn on the breasts in the same pattern.

A crackling overhead would sound into Marcy's ears, putting up red flags as she had not known there was an AI system in Kite's ship. Her head lifted upward, staring a the ceiling like she could see something in the metal of the ship's roofing. She passed by something on the wall, and a fist slammed into the buttons and controls that glowed and shone. The crackling immediately stopped before any words were able to be said over the intercom that had been turned on. Dust crawled up the wiring that was EDI's only way of communicating with the master of the ship hidden somewhere aboard. Its particles spread from the main breaker, corrupting every wiring in the ship's system until they, too, no longer worked.

"Can it, machine," the woman snapped as the system died from the overwhelming amount of death particles. Afterward, Marceline removed her grayed hand from the shadows of the hole and proceeded to walk down the hallway.

Using her ashes effectively, the magus muted the sound of her feet as she walked the corridors and peered into each of the rooms. Seconds later, as she peered into a room that looked to be sleeping quarters, the lights flickered and went out, leaving Kite and her in the dark. A smirk spread across her lips and she inched into the room, hearing heavy breaths of someone working out. She shifted into her ashen form, letting the flecks spread out around the room so that she wasn't noticeable as the lights flickered back on.

"Mh. . . I could sit here and watch you all day; that body of yours is perfect," she spoke diligently into the atmosphere. "Why don't you stand up and let me see the rest of you, surely there are far better parts hidden from view. A certain little asset that I'm interested in the most, from a guy who's proven to have some sort of emotion toward me."

Dark laughter echoed in the room, though she was still not visible to the eye of the A-ranked masterpiece at the center.

"Cliché superhero," she muttered, her voice filling the room a final time.

Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

The subtle beeps from the various consoles throughout the ship didn’t bother Kite one way or the other. From within his bunk under the foredeck he didn’t really have a way to hear what was going on throughout his ship. It also didn’t help that he was sleeping seeing as it was nighttime and he had barely gotten any sleep since returning back to his home with his ship literally falling apart. Repairs had began but it was all too apparent that he had caused much more damage due to his flying it in such sorry shape but was it worth it? From his attitude as of late no but truly it was. He had managed to cut all ties from his demon mentor complete with a new magic, White Dragon Slayer magic but at the cost of his ship..totally worth it.

However asleep he was just like anyone else who slept, at peace at the surface but that wasn't always the case deep in his head. It was there that the scariest demons resided, his dreams that always spoke to him. He was already a few hours into his sleep schedule so REM was already in full effect so it was perfect time for dreams to sneak their way into his subconscious. Ninety percent of the time his dreams were less than good, eighty percent of that was worse than that. The dream started out with Kite outside of his ship, still broken and parked where he landed when he halfway crashed it but the rest of the setting was off. There was nothing but pitch black throughout the area, so sight was worthless. ”Ace of spades having a blackout?“ he would ask, as if he didn’t know that this wasn’t a dream. His first reaction was to try to illuminate the situation. The scene was just as black as it was before his attempt. ”Strange, that usually works...either this cloak of darkness is protected by the dream or..“ his thoughts were cut of by his awareness of how correct his statement was going to be. His magic was not working always a great sign to a bad dream. The meaning of this dream was apparently getting ready to make itself known for shrouded by the dense cloak of darkness the sound of footsteps approaching caught the Dragon slayer’s attention and by the sound of the snarling beasts met his ears. ”What could be making these wonderful noises? Heh and what a good time for me not to have magic in my dream.“ he would say but before he could react and even before the beast could go ahead and reveal itself something started to get him to stir in the real world. It would seem that something was more than enough to cause him to stir. The scene surrounding him would warp and fade away and the next thing he would see was the blurry surroundings of his room. It was dark but there was something there putting everything off. His nostrils would work as he inhaled taking in the all too familiar scent which began to get his mind focus but it wasn’t until he heard her voice that he fully realized he had a visitor. He would keep his eyes seemingly shut but would let a grin form on his face ”Well I would stand up but I don’t see anyone here.“ he would say and let his grin fade, ”and I’m not a cliche hero.“ he would say fully opening one eye to see the smokey ash floating above him ”why don’t you quit hiding gorgeous. he would invite her to reveal herself in any manner in which she would. ”Plenty of room under here with me.“ he would refer to a place next to him under the covers of his bed. He was shirtless and wearing compression like shorts which was all hidden from view under the blankets of his bed.
    ”“

    Marceline Anicetus
A giggle followed his words, amused that he was laying still and refusing to get up simply because he could not see her. The flecks of ash pulled closer together until all of them had congregated into the cloud once more and wove her together. As traditionally, the ashes molded at the bottom first, creating the feet and slender legs of the women as they wove upward. Hips and torso followed after, with arms being created until the shoulders appeared, ending with the head while the ashes flowed backward. Raven hair accrued as the ashes made their way back downward, crawling along her back and spreading outward to create her cloak. Soon, the ashes disappeared entirely and a silhouette stood in front of Kite, slowly regaining each and every one of its color. Blackened combat boost, ashen skin, darkened blue jeans, a black leather halter top, and a crimson cloak to hide it all.

She took a step closer to his bed and plopped down on the mattress next to him, looking down at him with a smile. "Hi," Marceline stated in a cheery tone, eyes lit up with a sense of happiness when her gaze raked over him. Red optics planted themselves on her hands as she glanced down at them, playing with her fingers momentarily. "Sit and close your eyes; I have a present for you that I've been meaning to give you for a long while now." Scooting over a little, Marcy would let Kite sit up, waiting patiently for him to get entirely situated and ready for her. Once he was sitting upright and had his eyes closed, she would dig into the pouch at her hip and pull out a small, silver coin. Well hidden in her hand, she would reach out and grab hold of his, uncurling his fingers and placing the coin at the center of his palm.

Marceline would close his hand again and push it back to him, clasping hers in the center of her lap with excitement. "Okay, you can open your eyes now," the woman stated, giggling slightly while she waited for him to open his eyes and look in his hand.

Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite would grin when he heard the all too familiar and beautiful succubus’ disembodied voice echo throughout his room in the form of a giggle, it was a sign that he won the small exchange regarding whether or not he would get up or not. He would let his eyes widen more as he saw the ashy particles began to collect in one location before it started to take form and interlock with one another into one giant cloud. After a second or two the cloud of ash started solidify at her feet first and slowly molded into a humanoid shape, her lovely legs, her hips, and torso. Her arms were next from her hands up to her shoulder. On top of her newly formed head the ash formed into flowing raven hair. The ash soon created everything from her human anatomy which was artificial to the garments that she would choose to wear. He watched as her hips and legs were soon covered by a pair of dark blue denim jeans meeting her black combat boots on her feet. Her upper body was covered by a halter top made of black leather but he only caught a glimpse of it before her trademark crimson cloak covered it all. The blackened figure stood on the ground near his bed but soon her body came into color, her ashy skin, her red eyes that matched his own with the whites blacked out.

He would watch Marcy took a few steps and plopped down on the mattress sitting up right next to him and would greet him with cheery “Hi”. Something that would catch him off guard a bit, for as long as he known her and as they interacted he had never heard such a cheery side to her but he ignored it and smiled back at her, ”Hi yourself.“ he would say to her as he used his elbows to prop himself for the moment. The greeting was nice but he would never get to the questions that filled his mind, such as how did you get here and why are you here, others like how have you been and what not. Their last time seeing each other was during the aftermath of all that went down in the realm of the angels and that wasn’t completely a pleasant memory aside from them standing atop their fallen foes but it wasn’t the time for the memory to play its part either, this was about the here and now. His eyes would leave from hers to go down to her hand when she made mention of having a surprise for him but only if he sat up and so he did, the covers would fold back onto his lap revealing his bare muscular torso as well as the number of scars that covered his body and then he would close his eyes. A feeling of cold would touch his hand, most likely Marcy’s own hand but then something more solid would be left in the palm of his hand, the object Marcy had procured as a gift for the Dragon Slayer. It was circular and flat, like a coin but much larger than any he had come across but he would only know when he was allowed to open his eyes. Once the object was secured and he was given the okay Kite opened his eyes and focused on the coin that was in his hand. He would hold it up to his face and examine it closely, the skeleton on the front with a top hat and suit with a bundle of arrows tied together. The words, In debt and in death we trust. The other side had an inscription as well, longer to read but his curiosity set in a bit. He would look at her and smile ”Thank you.“ he would say kindly, a coin wasn’t a spectacular gift by any normal standards, but he remembered her words of wanting to give this to him for a long time which meant it was worth a lot to her and so he would treat it with the same regard. ” What’s it for?“ he would ask, questioning why she was giving it to him and why it was special enough for her to sneak aboard his ship. That’s when another question entered his mind. ”How did EDI not sense her?”
    ”“

    Marceline Anicetus
Kite didn't look all too happy with the gift she had given him like he was disappointed it was a coin and nothing else. Marceline pouted a little at the unhappy look, but he had thanked her for the gift nonetheless and that caused her to smile. She bounced a little in her place and swung her legs against the bed, tightening the grasp of her hands in her lap. More so, she was brave enough to lean against his arm and rest her head on his shoulder, using a hand to point at the coin. "There is an incantation you must say in order to summon me to wherever you happen to be or else the coin won't work," the woman stated. "When you wish to summon me, grasp the coin in the center of your palm and hold it close to your heart, close your eyes, and wish for death." It was rather gruesome-sounding, but there was more to it than just simply standing there and wishing for death.

She bit her lip and held back her words for a moment, her gaze steadily staring at the small coin in his hand. "Unbekannt Geist, Ich rufe zu dich. Mich wer wünsche zu frei dich lassen. Überquere, deshalb Ich hilfe möge. Kommen zu mich. Zeigen dich selbst," she repeated in her native tongue. "It's a very silly incantation to state, but as I was making the coin, I was told I had to have something in order to summon me. Basically, what you are saying is 'Unknown Spirit, I call to thee, me who wish to set you free. Cross on over, so that I may help. Come to me. Reveal yourself'." A tiny inkling in her body told her that he would never have to use the coin, that it was just a useless gift to him. However, she felt that it was necessary to give to him, just in case he ever actually needed her and she wasn't around. "Pretty coin," the woman stated in a giddy tone, reaching out to flip it over once to study it more carefully for herself.

Marcy sat up quickly and looked around at his room, remembering seeing that his ship was actually on the ground. "What happened to your ship, by the way?" she inquired, curious to know how he had damaged it so badly. There wasn't a job that she could think of where he had caused damage to his ship as badly as it was crumbling now. Then again, it could have been the effects of her magic also taking a toll on the ship, which is a very good reason on why to not let her in. "I don't think I've ever seen it this damaged before, even if I've never actually been on the ship until now." Her gaze wandered curiously over the room, but nothing was out of the ordinary compared to when she had first entered. Well, aside from the fact that the walls and flooring were beginning to peel up and disintegrate from her magic.

Kite sat there holding this unique, one of a kind coin, and while it wasn’t exactly the best gift in terms of materialistic value it was very special to him despite knowing what it did exactly. It was from someone who he shared a deep bond that he had never shared with another person before so when he saw her pout due to a lack of sheer enjoyment of the gift but luckily his saying thank you was enough to cause this beauty of death to smile and bounce in joy but something else happened that he didn’t expect. He felt her lean against him and lay her head on his shoulder, the first real affectionate thing that they had ever done outside of the kisses they had shared at one time, but he was paying attention to her words to make mention of any of that. He looked at the coin as she explained that the coin had the ability to summon her to his location so long as the incantation was spoken and he let himself with for death. An interesting concept, wishing for death but in turn wishing for death was the same as wishing for her, lady death herself. He listened as Marcy uttered the words that were inscribed on the coin, he didn’t understand their meaning for they were apart of some foreign language unknown to him but it came with a translation following as she explained the nature of why the incantation existed. ”unabcant giest ic...“ it was all he could get out as he tried to repeat the translation back to her but got tongue tied as a result, he wasn’t linguist so he would need to practice these words. However there was something oddly familiar about them, like he had seen them in something recently ”Where have I seen these markings before?“ he would question not out of anger for failing to repeat but out of curiosity, another thing about this woman he was falling for or had fallen for that he didn’t know about. He would lean his head onto hers and smile, his bed where she sat was decaying away and could be seen throughout the entirety of the bed but it didn’t bother him, right now it was his happy place. He would hear her refer to the coin as pretty, causing Kite to flip if over to get a better look at it and smiles, ”Pretty coin from a beautiful woman.“ he would say wrapping an arm around her and smiling at her. She would ask a question that would hit a raw wound in regards to his ship and its current state of disrepair. ”We had a dragon attack a few months ago she took a direct hit from the bastard, and then I went on a training journey for a couple months and it took its toll on her so she is grounded for a while. “

An idea popped into his head, a notion regarding the dream he had and the sudden sense for adventure he had been itching to go on and now with Marcy here there was no better time for the adventure to happen. ”Say Marcy, would you like to come with me on a little expedition?“ he would ask but before she could answer he would continue, ”Some old ruins were found and….that’s it.“ he would say to her. ”Those ruins had something like these words written on it and it just so happens to have some sort of treasure.“ he would get up from the bed leaving Marcy sitting on the edge to retrieve a piece of paper from his desk to show her. The picture revealed a stone pillar with words written in a different language inscribed on it “Schatzkammer des Todes”
”I heard that the treasure might hold some sort of higher power and that is of interest to me. “

    Marceline Anicetus
With her head resting gently on his shoulder, Marceline quietly listened as the demon slayer tried to repeat her native tongue's incantation. It was only in her native tongue because of its origins, that was the reason why she had provided a translation for it. She didn't want him to butcher a language he didn't understand, as most people she had encountered only spoke English. However, she was also appreciative that he would even try to speak it in her native tongue when he wasn't adept in it. To her, that showed he was willing to learn it, but for now, she would simply be all right with him speaking the English version. "You know that you don't have to say it in my native tongue, right? That was reason why I gave it a translation," she explained to him. "I knew that you weren't going to be able to speak it properly and I didn't want you to think you couldn't say it when you can."

She silently stared back at the coin as he rolled it through his fingers and studied the engravings of the words. He muttered something about having seen similar words before, but it confused her since nothing in this world was as similar to her coin as they were to anything else. Marceline nuzzled her head against his shoulder a bit more and stared at the coin, contemplating what he meant by it. By now, the woman had fallen deep into thought, trying to figure out where exactly he could have run across German words. After all, what place in this world had words close to her native tongue aside from the kingdom long lost in Sin? Keeping quiet, the magus turned her head slightly and looked up at the demon slayer, noticing the estranged look on his face. "The only place you could have seen these markings were of places located in my old kingdom; it's the last remaining of its kind."

Marceline went wide-eyed as Kite rested his head against hers and wrapped an arm around her waist, holder her closer. She breathed in deeply and closed her eyes, enjoying the fleeting moment of affection that she was receiving from him. It was something she could have only dreamed of, hoping that one day it would actually come true and now, it has. A soft smile traced over her lips and she enjoyed, for a moment, the bliss that she would receive from his love. However, it was a feeling that was short-lived, for he continued mumbling to himself until at long last, he recognized those words. He would jump to his feet, causing the leaning Marcy to topple over onto his bed sheets in a heap of clothes and black hair. Blinking, Marceline pushed herself back up into a seated position and stared rather angrily back at the male.

A heavy blush coated her cheeks, however, when Kite complemented her appearance over the coin being silly. She glanced down at her clasped hands in her lap, hiding the blush as significantly as she was able to hide it. Yet, his next words caught her off guard, causing her to look back up at him despite the blush dusting her cheeks. "Why were you fighting a dragon? That's absurd! No one should be fighting a dragons considering how powerful they are!" she exclaimed briefly. Marceline had no reason to be scolding him, though, for as much as she wanted to, he was still safe here. The only thing that had been damaged was the ship, itself, and at this rate, the ship would be nothing because of her aura. Letting out a sigh, the woman would drop her gaze back to her hands, letting him continue to speak about his realization next.

It was when he inquired if she wanted to go on a little adventure that the deathly magus would smile and look at him again. You know I would always love to go on an adventure with you!" she stated, bouncing to her feet and crossing her arms over her chest. The smile would slowly begin to disappear as Kite began to explain what their little expedition would entail for them. Their trip would bring them to an old ruins, something she had a small idea of since she had been at ruins before. However, the ruins he continued to explain to her of sounded more and more familiar to the young woman than anything else. "Kite. . . if we're going there, you should know something about those ruins, and it's not going to be pretty. . ." She wasn't even certain she wanted to tell him about the ruins, though, not at the risk it would foretell for her.

"Kite. . . those ruins you're talking about. . . my master created those ruins. . ." Marceline finally found a way to put her explanation into words. "But if your wish is to go there, then grab my hand because we aren't going to be walking there for days." With that being said, the magus would extend one of her hands into his direction, waiting for him to take it.
