    History/Story

Face Claim: She's more so a face claim of someone's DeviantArt sketches http://eliz7.deviantart.com/

    History:

Long long ago, in a distant land... There lived a beautiful girl and her two wealthy parents. This girl had five sisters, and they were all happily living together under the same roof. This beautiful girl had gorgeous red hair which always hid under her hat in the sun, the beautiful girl loved to grow her hair out long. All of her sisters and her parents had brunette hair, which was strange since they had a child with natural red hair.

The girl spent everyday inside her home with her dear mother who would teach her discipline and manners. She spent her content and rather bored life, staring out onto the field in which her older sisters would play.

"Do not go outside." Her mother would demand, "You are far too young and you may be whisked away from our arms."

As the hours ticked by, the girl's eyes would never avert from the window, she often dozed off and ignored the lessons her mother gave her.

The girl aged. Every year she would ask her mother to go outside. "Mother," She would say, "May I play with my sisters?" The girl tugged on the skirt of her mother's dress.

"No, you may never leave, you are still too young. Go play elsewhere." The girl did not know why her mother was so strict as to why she was never able to leave.

Soon, even her sisters were unable to play outside. And the doors and windows began to seal themselves shut.

"Are we playing hide and seek?" The girl would ask her mother as she followed her around the dimly lit hallways. Her mother would turn to her, her hands trembling as she ran her fingers through the girl's hair. "Yes..." Her mother's voice was shaking as she replied, "We are playing hide and seek. Go to your room, Ophelia."
The girl wondered if her mother was ill, but didn't press on any further. She headed to her room and sat, thinking about something a child would never think about; her future.

    -----

Days became months and months became years, the windows have never seemed to open up. The girl aged quickly and she soon grew into a young adult.

The young and beautiful girl never questioned her mother, though her mother did appear to be growing quite odd. The girl's father appeared to grow delirious as well.

Her care began to fall into the hands of one of the elderly maids, Heidi. The girl began to go under her tutelage and in secret, Heidi would teach the young girl about the wonders of magic and the outside.

The girl's mother slowly grew into fits of rage, her anger often was directed towards the elderly nanny. "Your fault! It's your fault! You're teaching my children magic!" Slowly, ever so slowly the family began to fall apart.

    -----

One day, the girl finally learned why the doors were shut and the windows were covered. There was a large group waiting in front of their manor, and they appeared to be quite upset... They all had weaponry with them and repeatedly slammed their fists onto the doors.

"Lady Katulai. Lady Katulai, please wake up. It is urgent, you must leave now!" The girl was woken up by her maid.

"What..." She slowly rose and rubbed her eyes, though she was quickly yanked by the maid. Heidi appeared to be frantic as she threw the girl's dress over her. "What is happening?"

"It is important for you to leave right now!" The maid began leading the girl down the hallways, through many corridors. Soon, the girl had no idea where she was going with the maid. "Your father has scammed many people, he had done many wrong things and now your family is the one that shall suffer! Take what I have taught you and leave this house. I have packed your things, there is an old mansion of your father's waiting for you." Things were happening too suddenly, the girl could barely keep track with what was happening.

Heidi pushed her out, and for the first time, the girl felt cold grass underneath her feet. She ran, she ran so fast that she didn't look behind her. The fate of her family was unknown.

The girl had dyed her hair to mask herself since she was the only in the family to have such beautiful red hair.

She walked onward. She walked so far that her feet could carry her no longer until she stumbled upon a guild where she would start her first few years as a wizard.

    -----

This was the story of a girl, a very lonely girl... This was the story of a girl who had no family.

    Diary Entry 1

    Dear Diary,

Today I have spoken with the members of my guild, it pains me to say it, but they are kind to me and I feel bad for making myself seem so undesirable as a friend. I have befriended a long time member, Ren and thankfully he is willing to put up with my behavior. Heidi used to tell me that friends were people that could potentially save your life when you need them the most. Sadly, Ren has bad taste in clothes and when I visited him he wore Dinosaur Pajamas. As a friend, it is my duty to help him with fashion, so I yelled at him. I watched as he broke down into tears and secretly, I felt bad for upsetting him.

I hate degrading myself, and yet I constantly begin to feel guilt when I yell at those who seem more innocent than I. I guess it is my fault since I have never been outside as a child. My people skills are extremely poor.

Is it too soon to say that I feel as though Ren is like a younger brother of mine? He is currently the only family I have... I suppose putting on a strong suit will take away my sadness and maybe writing will help me get rid of these thoughts in my mind.

    Your Dearest,
    Ophelia

    Diary Entry 2

    Dear Diary,

This entry is very late, but surprisingly I have managed to befriend another man to whom surprisingly puts up with my behavior as well. Age, a peculiar name for someone, but I have seen many strange names nowadays. I don't think Age is fond of me that well due to the fact that I want to get straight to the point, though I do enjoy his company.

I am 22 now and yet everyone around me is much more mature than me, I am no noble if I constantly act like a child. Maybe if I had listened to Mother's lessons I would have been a better person than I would be today?

Me and Age went on a job together, and I actually found it pleasant, aside from the fighting it felt pleasing to have helped someone. It had been awhile since I felt adrenaline rushing through my veins. I hadn't realized it then, but I was fighting along side a Dragon Slayer, a title which was honored by many wizards. I feel small and minuscule compared to him, and yet I had the courage to slap flowers out of his hand. Am I as horrible as they think I am? I need to get a hold of myself.

    Your Dearest,
    Ophelia

    Diary Entry 3

    Dear Diary,

Another late entry. I recalled going on a job with Ren(To whom I now consider a family member), everyday I have the tendency to yell at him. As we took care of sickly children, I began to learn more about the world of what I called 'peasants'. I took notice of a small girl, I was quite fond of her and she was quite fond of me as well. I couldn't comprehend my feelings when she clung to me as if she were looking for her mother, so I ended up pushing her away. I laughed as well, it might have been my pride showing.

I want to apologize to Ren. I took many things from him and I beat him up when I didn't know how to react. He flinches when I raise my hand now, even when I don't intend to punch him. He drew me a picture once, I didn't know what feeling I had, but I ended up acting out violently. Ren decided to give me a bracelet as an apology, it appeared to be important to him so now I keep it in my Jewelry box. I feel as though he considers me to be a 'bully'(A term I learned from the peasants).

    Your Dearest,
    Ophelia

    Diary Entry 4

Today I have taken a job to find a litter of puppies, they were cute and small as I held each one in my arms. Their lives were so small as I stared at them. I used to think that all animals were feral beasts that would kill you if they had the chance, but I am beginning to see things in a new light.

I saw a bird on my windowsill when I came home after the job was done, it appeared as though animals have taken a slight liking in me after I had returned the puppies. I am no artist but I have decided to draw the bird since I though it looked beautiful.

Maybe I am becoming a more gentle and ladylike person?

I remembered stumbling upon Ren's diary, he named it Bill which was childish and I found it rather amusing. When I opened it I found a doodle of me and many remarks about how aggressive I am. Secretly, I felt bad about myself. I think I need to rest.

    Your Dearest,
    Ophelia

    Diary Entry 5

    Dear Diary,

Jobs are a lot more harder than I thought they would be, it's funny, I always come home looking like a mess. Maybe I should stop dressing up so much?

The night before I had a dream. I had a dream about my future, usually every dream I have is the same. I wake up in my bed, and I sit, looking at the wall clock that ticked in a slow methodical rhythm. I was in my old manor, the one I lived in as a child. In everyone of my dreams, I would get out of bed and look around the hallways, but I would be alone. Wondering where my family was, I would look through every room in the house, soon finding my mother and father, old and happy to see me. And then I would wake up. These dreams of mine make me feel pleasant.

    Your Dearest,
    Ophelia

"... Little bird... Little bird... Tell me, where do you flock?"

The sound of gravel crushing underneath the might of steel boots. The clanking of armor, thick and mighty, full of scars that whisper secrets of the past.

"... Little bird... Little bird... Full of such sleek feathers, might I have a quill?"

A silhouette of a woman, her hair as blonde as gold itself. Her eyes, piercing red within the dark of night. Her skin, etched and tarnished, scars riddling what once was something smooth, sleek like satin itself.

And so... The little bird... Little bird... With its many bright feathers...

She ceased her steps, having done so many prior. Sweat rolled down her face, a metal finger lifting to wipe away the lingering remnants of exhaustion that had slowly crept up her form. Here she was, the peak of a mountaintop where grass had nestled itself in the fertile soil to breathe the distilled air and hug the sun in which it could see every single day.

... Plucked a quill from her plumage and presented it to thee...

A hand moved to run through her golden locks. Underneath the strands of gold hid feathers, colorful, beautiful feathers intertwined with the silk that was indeed her hair. So many types of feathers, ranging from aves from all walks of life. The feathers made their home here, in her lovely sun-kissed locks. No longer had it held its once red hue, but the little bird made peace with her being and allowed her true colors to run through the streams of rivers and bodies of lakes.

... The little bird... Little bird... Lifted up her wings and flew...

Beyond the peak of the green mountain, the little bird could see her home, a home she had fled long, long ago. The birds sung its songs, telling her stories of the past, present, and perhaps the future, all leading up to a particular tale... One of Fiore.

... She flew far, far away... All the way to her home where there were many other... Little birds... Little birds... Just like she...

Steps resumed... This little bird was returning to Fiore...
